You could be the bidder/buyer thus ensuring the sale at least you would have the asset basically paying /receiving the money .( On paper only)

Thats the sum of it. Phuket is being stripped of its virus hit assets, property and land, by the Chinese who caused this disaster in the first place, Thai government trying to say these are tourists is completely false. Its a land grab pure and simple.
A comment with substance there pal!

That's 0.000003053% of the population, and majority are over 70. Concerns for rising figures in the winter are warranted but seriously, we're shutting the globe down for this?
Spot on!

And if we all up sticks and remove cash it would make not one jot to these guys but hurt the real people.
If you're there and enjoy it, best thing is to keep your head down and avoid the madness.

The line between DIED OF and DIED WITH is way too blurred for me and easily malipulated in the true numbers.

And many are not even aware of the WORST issue surrounding the quarantine...
Imagine testing positive, and having NO symptoms AT ALL..
yet being dragged away by stooges, put in a hospital for X weeks,
and extorted for ???k baht.
You will quickly go from being the elite, valued tourist you envisioned, to virtually a prisoner to be milked.
no thanks!!
Good point !

Covid-19 insurance and tracking app people would probably accept but 2 weeks quarantine that's a tricky sell to say the least!!
Plus the needless scaremongering needs to stop from all MSM and alike.

Don't expect much sympathy from anyone. Thailand is a capitalist country and foreign "investors" did so with the intent to make profit. Pretty sure they didn't do so for charitable reasons. They gambled and lost. If they knew what they were doing they must have known it was risky.
I've known for decades that LOS is not a country to invest money one can't afford to lose, and so should they have known if they did any research.
A bit harsh wouldn't you say ( Who factors in a pandemic to financial planning and business model anywhere in the world)
Multinational Companies are in real bad shape financially or going Bankrupt as their due diligence has prevented nothing and <deleted> is hitting the fan!
Compassion costs nothing!!

I would tend to think the opposite having spent Nov - Feb in Phuket and Pattaya the amount of Chinese roaming round unencumbered and daily flights from Wuhan herd immunity has largely been acheived by default and minimal testing the fact thats it's nowhere near as deadly as previously thought most cases went unreported as people went on about their days feelings <deleted>ty for a few days and recovered ,self medicated or were asymptomatic thats the reason in my opinion Thailands numbers are at low.
Basically the virus went through and only finding the remnants of the infected a little too late.

Some Asian countries are rolling out early and more aggressive influenza vaccination programs this year, seeking to reduce the potential of people contracting the flu and (COVID-19 simultaneously,) crippling healthcare systems.
So we saying an influenza vaccine already available will work against this BS virus!
