Nonsense.. Most flights are booked weeks before departure, and the Israeli-Iran conflict is just escalating in the last week.. Thailand should be happy that less Israeli tourists are coming as they caused a lot of trouble as we could read here
Even if booked weeks before departure, the airports and airspace is closed, so the flights got cancelled. Israeli tourists have caused just as much trouble as Brits, Aussies, Koreans, Chinese and Indians, probably less actually.

Thais of Cambodia descent are not migrant workers, they're Thai citizens, so how is that even relevant to the topic?

It was very little money, though.
Other reports have said that they let you withdraw the funds before closing the account. I think even in Thailand, they need some kind of justification or proof that the funds were illegally obtained to just keep it.

In LOS patients just magically appear in hospital beds? The hospital staff must at least know how he arrived at the hospital. Where did the ambulance pick him up from? Too many unanswered questions
The articles mention a language barrier at that hospital, with nobody being able to speak English and them trying to source a translator.

I don't understand that so many travellers go on holiday without an travel insurance.. It is just a little money to protect your health and luggage... Anyway, more of this story will come I think
Many companies that offer travel insurance are a scam anyway and will find any reason to not payout. He'd already be disqualified for receiving care from a hospital without contacting them first and going to one of their approved hospitals.

What can you update there? Do they allow you to upload your new passport nowadays, or is that just a KYC questionnaire?
It was just a KYC questionnaire. They wanted my address, occupation, net worth, source of funds, contact phone number etc..

That's interesting insofar as they might have decided to give affected customers some advance warning before locking them out, which didn't seem to be the case before.
Did they tell you any specifics, such as where you need to go ("your" branch or any branch) and by what date?
I just updated it through the app where the notification directed me to.

Just got a notification on my Bangkok Bank app to update my info (KYC). Have the account since 2019 and on a long term visa. Tested and everything still works though.

"The case unfolded when local authorities, collaborating with social services in Nong Khai, managed to rescue the young victim. The girl had reportedly been confined in a local residence."
It doesn't mention or you can't be bothered to actually read? Willing participants aren't usually confined and need to be rescued.

A question: if you do have your account blocked and it turns out to be a bank mistake, how does this effect your requirement to maintain 400k/800k year round for the retirement extension? Would a block be seen by immigration as an interruption in your year round holding requirement?
No, a block doesn't affect or reduce the funds that are in the account or show on bank statements. I used to work for a bank and would put and remove holds on people's accounts.

2 year visa and WP - not enough for Bangkok Bank.
So much for the smug people who think they are safe.
2 year visa and a WP means he can open a bank account at any bank he wants. If it's blocked, it's either for doing something shady with his account or just needs to go in and do a facial scan, passport update etc.. The block on his account has nothing to do with why people on tourist visas are having their accounts blocked.

Just took a look at my move in Reading of my condo, Meter's look the same, ie model MF-33E.
So the right-hand column is ignored when taking a meter reading.
So from your 2 photos, you've used 808 units.
Not 100% sure, due to photo quality, but Serial Numbers look the same, so implies the same meter.
I would definately ask for copies of the Juristic or PEA bills to confirm what they are reporting.
Also, the Landlord asking for $1750:00, which to me speaks irregularity, as it's another round number. Seems the Landlord might have a over ambitious rounding error!
@Renegade Sea Monkey I think @RayWright is correct. Looking at your photos again, the last number looks off/fake so according to the photos, you probably only used 808 units which even at his inflated 7 baht/unit rate is 5656 baht/$172 dollars. The host is trying to majorly scam you, please fight this through AirBNB and don't let the scammer get away with it.

Does it say in the Airbnb, what rate they will charge you for electric? It seems like for 8085 units, they are charging you 7 baht per unit instead of 4.5-5.
For a one bedroom condo/apartment, that usage does not seem possible even if you ran one or two ACs 24/7 the whole 4 and a half months, unless maybe you were doing it with all the windows open. It's possible this AirBNB owner just sends the same before and after photos to all long term tenants, if you didn't check and verify the meter in person, yourself.

I can walk in to any K-bank today with just my passport and Elite Visa and open an account. It's one of the few decent perks they offer for their overpriced visa.

Wait it out, it will most likely be taken back eventually, let the bank handle it. Like you said, you might not have even noticed. It's only illegal if you spend it all and/or refuse to return it when the bank orders you to.

No True Move Wallet for Foreigners?

I recently successfully registered for TrueMoney Wallet and it was approved after a few days. If you have a long term visa and send them a scan of it, you can also unlock all features like sending the funds to bank accounts as well. The Virtual Mastercard is very useful.
