Where did you get that from? Wise make a big issue of telling us that 'no money crosses borders'. So why would they need the services of Tranglo?

I downloaded the transaction invoice/receipt and it shows under Paid out from that the Banking Partner who did the local transfer is Tranglo SGP.

Had and still having an issue, as per others normally my transfers goes through within minutes, however yesterday it took Wise 10 hours to send to my receiving Bank, and now 12 hours later after Wise has told me they have sent the transfer my receiving bank has not been credited. So this morning l made a small "test transfer" of Bht 300 and it was in my bank in 18 seconds, now l am worried l will have to chase up the missing funds at my local receiving bank which will probably not be that easy.

Give it time. Mine took 12 hours to hit my Bangkok Bank account after Wise said the transfer was completed and successful which before always meant it's already in my bank.

Wise seems to use Tranglo SGP as their banking partner to transfer funds, at least in Thailand, could be an issue with them, who knows.

Unsurprisingly, there is video showing it didn't happen.

The CCTV video starts with an argument already taking place so it's not video showing it didn't happen, it's video that doesn't show it happening, if it did happen. There's a difference. The same CCTV also shows one of them shoving/throwing an older looking man who tried to intervene out of the bar with their full force which could have easily killed him if he didn't stay on his feet by what looks like sheer luck. I'm not defending the security at all, especially the one who most likely killed or permanently disabled the guy with the kick to the head, I hope he gets what he deserves for that but these 3 Brits were dangerous and looking for trouble. If you think there's a problem with your bin, that's not the way to handle things at all. 2000 baht is not worth your life or eating from a straw for the rest of your life.

I have a Thai bank account, but I never set it up to work for online banking and I don’t use an app. If I did, that would simplify things.

If you know someone that has online banking and/or the app, they can just pay it for you using the QR code, no?

The parents are from India trying to speak English to a Thai person trying to understand English during a very traumatic time.

Also, Thais aren’t good with news stories in the first place.

Israel and India are two very different countries but yeah, for sure the language barrier doesn't help on the Thai side. Most Israelis actually speak very good English.

When one is involved in a traumatic event like an accident, the shock can affect memory and distort what really happened. I broke my leg in a freak accident and I was very adamant when speaking to the doctor afterwards, that the broken bones in my leg had pierced through the skin but it never happened. My deepest sympathy to the parents, I can't imagine how horrible they must feel to lose their 5 year old daughter this way.

Indians are in my experience generally pretty friendly, perhaps you look like a nice guy to them.

Certainly not the ones that come in cheap package tours to Pattaya. They just travel in packs like they own the street or in the road and I've seen a lot of them treat Thais disrespectfully.

  7. Go to any non tourist city and I've always found Thais to be very friendly, great service at restaurants and they seem just happier in general. I can't blame the ones that have to deal with many <deleted>ty, misbehaving tourists all day for being less friendly.

You don't even have to go that far from tourist cities. Bang Saen for example is not that far from Pattaya but the people seem so much friendlier and happier in my experience.

I found this article (2021) about this guy ...

a few things sounds very fishy ...

I read this article when I first heard about the case, interesting to see that they have now amended it and added the updates about his alleged crimes and prosecution in Thailand.
