  1. Smoking near a gas cooker, ignoring clear english signs and warnings not to, flicking the lit cigarette at the people and in the area of the gas afterwards, damaging the stall etc... If that's just smoking to you, ok.
  2. Songkran starts earlier every year 🙄 Too bad it wasn't boiling water if he was destroying their stall and threatening them.
  3. I genuinely do not understand how you don't understand. He is not the biological father, as the article says, but he took care of and supported the mother through her pregnancy and the daughter after she was born until they lost touch. So they see him as the father in every way but the biological one and he seems to accept that and feel the same way. Just like when someone adopts.
  4. Yup, the podophyllin paint is what most doctors here will prescribe if it's one or two smallish warts in the genital area. Use every other day for 3 days a week and the wart(s) will turn black and fall off. Removing them yourself with nail clippers or similar will make you bleed, leave you open to infection and just cause more to pop up. And you're only removing the surface part when you do that as the warts have very long roots.
  5. Just a freak accident I guess, the baht bus doesn't even seem to be going that fast.
  6. $0.69 for the first 50g. https://www.travelchinaguide.com/essential/postal-service/rate.htm
  7. Foreigner seems to usually be used for non-Asians. Lao, Cambodian, Chinese, etc.. get called where they are from, everyone else is foreigner or farang to Thai people.
  8. Yeah it's new. They don't want cheap Chinese goods competing with local Thai goods so their solution is to tax it.
  9. Yes it happened to me the other day and it came about 24 hours after Wise said it would be in my bank. If you look at your receipt, you'll probably see Bangkok Bank as the Banking Partner for that transaction. When the banking partner is Kasikorn, it always seems to arrive instantly.
  10. You give them too much credit. The soldiers fighting for Russia in the front are just cannon fodder being sent to the meat grinder.
  11. I saw his comment and immediately thought of some old geezer sitting in some decrepit bar, nursing 50 baht Chang beers every day, thinking he is better than people who volunteer their time to help people and be there to translate when necessary.
  12. Re-entry permit is for your visa and has nothing to do with 90 day reports which is when you need to report in after you have been 90 continuous days in the country.
  13. You don't consider that immigration has access to all your entries/exits on their computer? Along with a ton of other information.
  14. That's the fine for an overstay of his visa which has nothing to do with 90 day reports. You can't be fined that much and can't get blacklisted for not doing your 90 day report.
  15. Yeah it has always been the case for as long as I remember that you need to do a 90 day report in person after returning to the country.
  16. Looks like all granny panties, I guess we know his type.
  17. An ATM could not be any more user friendly. Put card in, choose English, put in PIN/password/secret code, push button for withdraw money, money come out, take money. Not sure why you'd need a tutorial or to take photos of each screen. Yes, the password you generate for ibanking is a temporary password that you'll need to change after using it to first login, as a security measure. If you want to transfer more than 50,000 baht a day, you need to do a facial scan, if not, then you don't. Anything else, like you said, it's the bank's job to help you and it sounds like they're gonna need a lot of patience.
  18. Seems like the Wise transfers sent through Kasikorn arrive instantly but they use Bangkok Bank or another partner for larger transfers and that's when I see delays, even though my account is with Bangkok Bank as well, it makes no sense.
  19. Yeah mine worked out to something like 0.12% interest and then they withhold a chunk of it. Horrible but whatever.
  20. You'll be safe but there are thieves who can slip it off your wrist without you even noticing. Hopefully most will just think it's a fake/replica.
  21. It's on you to secure your phone and the apps installed on it. I use the Wise app exclusively and it won't open or do any transfers without my face authentication. If my iphone is ever lost or stolen, I can easily just mark it as such online, wipe all the data and it becomes a useless brick that can't even really be sold even for parts anymore.
  22. He gave them the finger and they attacked him, I don't think that's the outcome he was expecting. Hopefully they do get rid of the stand as they overcharge anyway like any motorcycle stand outside popular tourist areas. It's not like there isn't 2 or 3 other stands a few steps away from that one anyway.
