So you invest 20+ years of your life with someone & they <deleted> someone else….

Your response is ‘oh well, don’t get bent out of shape, I’ll just find someone else’ !!!! ????

Over simplified dumbed down responses like that are, well, over simplified & dumb !!!

    It was her 32nd Birthday.

He didn't 'invest 20+ years of his life', they had been married for six years, of which he spent two or more years hiding in a Temple ads a Monk to avoid working for a living.

Seems the 'over simplified dumbed-down response' is yours, not the one you rudely responded to?

Reading (properly) is not a crime.

Sorry, I should have mentioned my local immigration office is Chaengwattana.

Do I just turnup and ask for the letter of residence. I presume I'd need passport and evidence of me staying at this address.

    Thanks

It is now located at the new Muang Ton Thani Immigration.

I think you can book online, but two months ago I just turned up. Passport, 90 Day Reporting, Letter from a utility I think. Took about 30 minutes

  3. Try the wholesale pharmacies on Rama 4 (opposite Lumpini Park), Chula MD or S.C. Pharmacy, they have serious stocks of everything and what is controlled elsewhere is not always controlled here. Call them first, they will tell you if it's available. I have used Chula MD for years, far cheaper than normal pharmacies.

There are a few next to each on Rama IV - a two minute walk from Saladaeng BTS or Silom MRT - there are always queues so I assume they are good/cheap.

The one with the green shop front is :

    RAZZ

Fully agree with this recommendation, I have used them all over time, best selection and best prices in town.

SC, Chula and one other (Bhaja??), all next to each other, all good. Do online ordering too

  5. I did mine in Bangkok a couple of months ago. But my last licence had expired, so I had to do the video and the online tests (one for car and one for bike).

Went to office to make appointment, they said just walk in on the day, max 50 people (non-Thai)

    Needed s Medical Cert

    Needed certified address from Immig

    One hour video session

Two online exams, along with the bizarrely worded questions that never allow you to choose the right answer. They have English versions of the books that are worth an hour reading through just before the test.

About 6 hours including lunch break

I would pay a visit to Veerasiam Tools on Soi71 (Soi Pridi) at about sub soi 43 opposite the Esso.

Not only will they probably have that type of box but having been there you will never have to post a where can I buy tools question again. Except maybe where can i buy cheaper tools!

PS they usually have a cheaper option to what they show you. Which may come from their sister shop next door but one.

Agreed, I have been using this shop for many years, quality gear and reasonable pricing. Owner is very friendly and knowledgeable.

  7. I was just on their (bein.com) website to have a look, when I take the 'Subscribe' option, it says 'beIN is not available in your region'.

    I am in Thailand.

Do I need a VPN and subscribe from somewhere else?

Also, what TV services do all of the bars around Bangkok use, those ones supplying football and F1 etc?

  8. I need to rent a car in Nakorn Phanom from afternoon of the 15th October, to afternoon of 18th October.

I have tried several local car rental companies and all of the big names, and no one has any cars available for this weekend.

Does anyone know of any local contacts that deal in Car Rentals?

    Many thanks

  9. I am on a UK passport, entered BKK in March on a 30 day waiver, now on the (second) Amnesty status.

I have a wife and one child here, both non-Thai, wife on Work Permit and son on ED visa (for last 12 years).

I would like to legitimise my status with a 30 or more day extension, for Bank Account reasons.

What are my options if i visit the Nontaburi centre (the alternative to CW), can I get a 30 Day or a three month extension?

    Many thanks

so you are telling me that four days after they plan to kick half the expat long stayers out, they are going to open their doors to expat long stayers..!?

????‍♀️I agree. Why would you expel existng revenues, who are generating income from rents, spending and travel. Mindless to kick out revenue generators in a total absence of alternatives......

No one is actually starving though, Thailand is also developing its own vaccine and if another Country makes a vaccine first, Thailand would gladly pay for it

Perhaps no one within one hundred metres of your home is starving, but it's a foolish statement to say that no one is starving, the economic impact is already there for some and coming rapidly for many many more. Forecast is 8 mio visitors versus  38 mio visitors. Open your eyes and open your mind.
