Directly a woman agrees to be alone with a man, that's consent, and that's sensible.

My Thai wife understands that, my 19 year old daughter understands that.

What a mindless thing to say!

Going to a guys room does not, in any circumstances, mean consent! Being alone with a guy is not consent!

You appear to have a very strange and troubled view of the world, according to the bizarre statements you have contributed so far in this.

  2. I used this service a lot in the last year in Bangkok, but as was mentioned earlier, first a 'few' things were out of stock, and the percentage just grew and grew until the norm seemed to be 20% or more. It became a waste of time.

I would order online in English, the list emailed to me was in English, the list of items missing was in Thai. That's good!

Big C even worse (well, their selection on website is worse, not necessarily their delivery / availability).

Tesco is truly shocking for online shopping in Bangkok.

I assume you asking about applying for an extension of stay (it is not a visa) based upon attending school for your son.

It will not matter which you do first. Your son should not be fined 2000 baht for a late 90 day report if he is under 15 years old unless they fine you for not doing it for him.

All extension of stay applications are applied for by submitting a TM7 form.

Thanks Joe, always spot-on information. Appreciated.

Yes, you are right, extension of stay for ED.

  4. My son will go to CW tomorrow for a new ED Visa application, he has all the forms from School.

However we have missed his last 90 Day report.

So when he goes to CW tomorrow, I was wondering what the process should be....

Fix the 90 Day report first and pay the fine, then get into the new ED Visa queue?

Or Go straight for the ED Visa process and then 90 Day queue after that?

Lastly, looking at the Immig site, it is not so clear to me as to which Immig Form he needs to fill for the ED Visa?

    Thanks

I also have a credit card from the USA, Visa with Capital One. I choose the US dollars and here's why, Capital One does not charge a foreign exchange fee and the other reason is they always give a better exchange rate then you'll get from any bank. I always check my receipt ,dollars off the statement divided into the baht amount and 100% of the time it's a better exchange rate then any of the banks are offering. If this is wrong, then somebody explain to me why

If you are in Thailand and you select USD as the payment currency, it is not your bank or credit card co that offers that facility, the merchant (seller) will have an agreement with a DCC company and there will be a % cost (between 3 & 5% usually).

Your bank / CC Co is simply the recipient of a debit in USD, that is why you see no additional charges on your statement.

Advice to the Op: use local currency.

Why didn't she just take the airport train like most people to the nearest BTS station and then it would be a short taxi ride to Thonglor.   The taxi drivers at the airport should be avoided. UBER is a good alternative too .

Perhaps it is because she flew into Don Mueng, and there is no train.

Why can't she use a taxi, they are there to provide transportation services, not rape their customers!!!!

  7. I agree with several responses above, if you decide to go overland, then stay in a few places and make it a part of the tour. Straight journey from Singapore to Bangkok is best done by flight.

I have stayed in MBS a few times, but always at someone else's expense, I am not sure I would see value if I was paying, but I can also see the tick on the bucket-list aspect. I stayed in the standard rooms and the superior's. The superiors are a great size, but afterwards I wonder if I needed such a big room. Try to get a room facing the MerLion direction.

If it's a view and luxury you want, the Swissotel Stamford would meet your needs, for luxury and comfort the Interconn, for heritage, The Fullerton (and the best Sunday Champagne Free-Flow Brunch in Asia IMHO).

  8. I travel a lot, so I rely upon the web service of the various Utility suppliers, to allow me to track bills and payments dates etc.

I have now been seeing the sign below for more than a week now.... It may have been up longer, as I have not tried to access for a couple of weeks prior.

The wording is very clever, 'All services will resume within 24 hours', with no start date and no end date, a 'never ending' 24 hours.

I have already dumped True Visions for a far better and far cheaper service, I wonder if I will have to follow suit with Internet and Mobiles too?

I hope that they lock up the farang for a very long time please. I simply despise foreigners who ride bikes in thailand. Its already bad enough with the thai bike riders but these foreigners are like on a suicide mission. And worst when they kill others.

    What a mindless comment.

You have based your unfair assumptions on almost zero facts. Foolish.
