Once they have done their crackdown on small street vendors, perhaps they could also do a crackdown on the malls, office buildings and condos anarchic construction frenzy, which have already confiscated 93% of the city space, draws huge crowds and traffic to that area, but leave little place for them to circulate.
But I guess it's easier to do a crackdown on street vendors making a couple thousands Bahts than real estate operations making billions.

OMG why do authorities go after these petty crimes instead of eradicating corruption, hunger and war !?

If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to worry about.
Them sick *ucks deserve all they get, good on google for once.
That's what they say in North Korea too.
Yeah, but unlike North Koreans, I actually have internet access, electricity 24 hours a door, high quality food on my table, clean water, drive Italian sports cars and can say anything I want about Obama without fear of being arrested.
News flash, its not the government scanning images in the emails. It is a private company, it is their email system, you probably consent to it by signing up and using their free system and if you don't like it, don't use gmail or better yet, don't send child porn in you gmail emails.
--------
DETECTIVE DAVID NETTLES, HOUSTON METRO INTERNET CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN TASKFORCE: "He was trying to get around getting caught by just keeping it inside of his email. I would never be able to find that. ... I don't really know how they do their job, but I'm just glad they do it."
Google's made no secret it scans Gmail users' accounts to provide targeted ads and even argued in court users should have no expectation of privacy. In response to a class action complaint against the company last year, Google's attorneys argued, "Just as a sender of a letter to a business colleague cannot be surprised that the recipient's assistant opens the letter, people who use web-based email today cannot be surprised if their communications are processed by the recipient's ECS provider in the course of delivery."
The company also partly funds the Internet Watch Foundation, which identifies child abuse images on the Web.

This "if you don't have anything to hide..." phrase is just a poor slogan to promote securitarian and surveillance policies, it supposes that society and authorities are entitled to know everything about individuals, that it is necessarily wrong to hide something, and moreover, that State is fundamentaly and permanently benevolent, which of course isn't true.

Well, we don't accept it either when immigration rules are abused or exploited in our home countries, there's no reasons Thailand should be more lax.

Seriously, do they still use the word "imperialists" and the phrase "source of all evil"? Did they get their speech-book from Iran and Al Qaeda?
Perhaps the same kind of people as the one using phrases as "axis of evil" or call their military strikes "Enduring Freedom" (great and very poetic creation that one).

Congratulations to the People's Republic of Korea, for being the last nation to resist capitalist imperialism with its proud and happy people and invicible army.

Chinese drive as bad as Thais, their traffic isn't that bad. The traffic problem in Bangkok doesn't come from drivers behavior, it comes from the construction anarchy. In the center 7% of the city space is occupied by roads and streets, the rest is trusted by condos and shopping malls. In other capitals where there is a bit of regulation and town planning, it would be around 25% for the roads.
So they can very well fine traffic offenders, that won't change a thing as far as traffic is concerned.
Instead they should demolish a couple of shopphing malls, such as Terminal 21 which is totally useless and horrible, a few hundred condos, stop the construction frenzy and make roads instead, then perhaps it will be possible to circulate properly.

Why does such an anecdotic conflict make people who are not directly concerned so passionate (from either side), in Europe, America...even Asia now. As far as Thailand is concerned it's not even sure the guerilla in the south doesn't kill more people than these middle-eastern trifles.
