Banks moving totally to cashless transactions.
Expect it to get worse.????????
I find it astounding that there seems to be no opposition to this. Once cash goes the Banks will have total control.

My mother in laws surname was misspelt in English, on her Thai passport, no problem using it to fly to Singapore.

Were there not more payment options available under the 980 baht option?
Only PayPal, which I don't have/ won't use, or a credit card, again don't have, won't use.
Was much simpler previously, they sent out a form, I printed it, took it to local Big C / Lotus / lots of other retailers, they scanned the code, I paid, and beIN was up and running when I got home. -
It seems that in order to use a Kasikorn Debit Card, one has to register it, via a Kasikorn ATM machine. They didn't tell us this when we first got one, many years ago! It takes 24 hours to register, before one can use the card, as a debit crd and buy things, so I'll see what happens this afternoon, when the 24 hours finishes. Never had this problem before with UK debit cards, had one for around 40 years, over there!

Perhaps you are choosing the wrong option: https://www.beinsports.com/en-my
Try the option for 980 baht.
No, it's definitely not that.

What no one has mentioned is that the Thai Government only guarantees one million Baht in their accounts, if the Bank goes bust. Who in their right mind would keep more than that in a single Bank account?

Have you checked if online payments have been enabled in the banking app?
Don't have a Banking app, never used the Debit card except as an ATM card, before.
I was trying to pay by using the card number and 3 digit code on the back. beIN don't take Bank transfers from Android phones! -
Previously downloaded a form, went to local Big C or Lotus's, paid cash there, got a receipt, and system was live when I got home. Worked great, so of course they had to change things.
Now can only pay with a Debit or Credit card, tried several times with both myKasikorn Debit card, and Thai wife's card, keeps getting refused by the Bank. Of course today the Banks are closed, (someone at beIN really needs to give their head a shake). Anyone have any advice?
The fee is only 950 Baht the funds in the Bank are way in excess of that. -
I'm in again, please. Might be useful to start a topic for the new season 23-24, I only found this by accident.

Dr Jack54 & Lopburi3.
Thank you for explicit advice.
I shall apply for a 60 day extension to visit wife.
Then go for extension based on marriage.
Not correct. I had a joint account with my wife for my extensions based on retirement a few times. The 800k must be minimum 1.6M.
You do realise that Thai Banks only guarantee one million Baht, will be covered if they fail? (Which happened in the 1990s).

Maybe that was the price in big city London but up in the boondocks in Yorkshire that was what we were paying
That was the price in Middlesbrough, which as far as I'm concerned, is still part of Yorkshire.

It was sixteen (UK) pounds an ounce back in 1973. Mostly hash (Morrocan) but the occasional Afghani Black and once in a while a Thai Stick. Fifty years ago now. And they say cannabis is bad for your memory!
It was sixteen pounds an ounce...oops sorry forgot I just said that.
You were over charged, mate. I paid 12 pounds an ounce in 73. Red Leb, Acapulco Gold, <deleted> Black, Thai Stick, various Jamaican strains, available from our local "ethnic" dealer! Used to chop it up into 18 "quid deals". Happy daze...

This spray that the city halls use, is it safe for dogs, rabbits, budgies and iguanas?

I'd recommend a separate fixed rate deposit account, in your name only. I've found that my local Immigration Office prefers this, as it's much easier for them to track any incomings and outgoings. If you can afford it, leave the 800k in the Bank permanently, saves worrying about the withdrawal penalties!

Saw a van the other day with "Nong Phia FC" written on it. Looked on the web, but can't find any information about the club. I'd be grateful if anyone can give me a link / phone number to get in touch with them. Been a long time since I've attended a live game, and Nong Phai isn't too far away from where I live.
Thanks for any replies / information. -

There is a translation to English option, on Google, but to be honest I'm none the wiser! Can't see any football listed.

Absolutely fed up with them, our dish moved with strong winds, and it was two weeks before they turned up to fix it. Now it seems the dish has moved again, and they want me to pay them to move it!, So before I tell them where to shove their equipment, what are the alternatives?

If there is tax on it even extra income for the country. Even maybe more tourists.
Better for absolute everyone beside the drug mafia.
And that is also the reason why many countries slowly go that way.
And I don't use any narcotics and I would love if the addict can buy some safe drugs in the pharmacy instead of breaking into my house and give the money to some dealer. At last a sensible comment!
What on earth are you doing on this forum? lol- 2
