12 hours ago, Yom said:... but what are these Provincial Governors doing?
The answer might be a first step.
And then:
So it seems there is a plan !?
Well done, Department of Pollution Control deputy director general Thaloengsak Phetsuwan !
***************************
The incompetent governor of Chiang Mai stated he is powerless to stop water fights even though Songkran has been abandoned. How in the hell will he stop the burning, this has been a yearly topic the last 15 years I have lived here; nothing changes. Little Mr P was here last year when it was bad, being like King Canute he stood on the edges of the smoke and ordered it fixed in 7 days under article 44. I am sure Canute never stopped the tide from changing.

Who needs to travel there. When they mucked around with TM 30 enforcement most of my farang colleagues stay put cant be bothered going anywhere now. With mandatory medical certificates and new AOT app on your smart phone completed it would be easier traveling with Virgin to the moon.

Got Thai friends who run a Restaurant in Chiang Mai and they are reporting 75% loss of business and they say others reporting similar.
Appears more truthful figures. You only have to look at Thai food halls they are deserted.

Dangerous U-Turn, No side barriers, no side lights.
More than likely a pick-up out driving his vision.
I can’t recall these U-Turns existing anywhere in the UK, do these ‘middle off the road’ U-Turns exist in any other developed nations?
A major factor in Thailands high road fatality statistics it the appalling road design. When combined with inattentive drivers this is the result.
Rule of thumb in high risk industries. The biggest vehicle always has right of way.

Call me cynical. How do they prove he actually caught it while at work. He may have contracted at home, local shops or where ever he goes when off work.

If one was to arrive in Auckland, NZ, Sydney, Aus., or San Diego, Cal., with a box of Thai fruit do you think you would be allowed to leave the airport with it? Just curious.
NZ has very strict bio security on food products. I had 2 weetbix ( my breakfast) in plastic wrap confiscated.

Xenophobia raises its head again. Why just foreigners when the most recent cases of testing positive are Thai.
The Immigration Bureau has announced that all foreigners arriving in Thailand must now specify the countries they have recently visited

It would be easy just fine the owners of bars with customers throwing water 20,000 baht and give the local police a 25% cut.
“Also, we have asked every sector to use water wisely
Yes the Governors of Chiang Mai and Pattaya say they are powerless to stop water fights at Songkran this year. Well dont bleat about drought issues if you cannot control what water you have.

Pictures taken at 5.30am?
Like the ones taken of the Chinese airlines check in zone last week that claimed to be immigration?
Maybe if you look at the photos at beginning and end they show the glass windows and daylight outside. How did you make up 5.30 am when its dark until 6-30 am these days?

This is what Australia did after the GFC, and is still paying for it today.

Flew in from the Philippines last night, so went to Immigration (Jomtien) today to file a TM30. Just out of curiosity, I asked the IO if a TM30 is required when returning to a long established address. I got a resounding YES from all 3 ladies at desk 10. So there you have it, this the policy at one office at this point in time. Admittedly, that could change this afternoon, tomorrow, or next week. BTW, most people were paying fines. The average seemed to be about ฿1300.
Discount fines, normally ranges 1500 to 1600 baht.

Why stop at 10 million lets double the figure to enable some logical group not the sham government to re-invent the country. The economy, tourist facilities and support systems are a train wreck. With Songkran cancellations a good opportunity to CLEAN the place up, start with garbage that's left anywhere it can be thrown.

Around 60-70 illegal Thai labourers have passed the screening process in South Korea and are not suspected of carrying the coronavirus yet.
Has Thai IMO stamped these passports invalid now for overseas travel as reported today by the Junta.
