So its not just the little guy getting shafted.

Not sure what he would have got in Oz but more than this.
Killing someone unlicensed.
-
Where was the manager.
He should have walked out and politely asked her to leave the petrol station and dont come back.
The the police should have fined her for being on her mobile phone around the petrol pumps.

I thought the whole idea of Uber was to save money by not using taxis that charge a lot.
One of the few cheap things left in Thailand is taxis. I dont see the point of Ubet.

Reminds me of that incident where the head guy at the airport started slapping the guard around.
Or perhaps the incident where the guard almost killed the farang at the BTS because he wanted to bring a childs balloon on the bts.
The list goes on.

Years ago I stayed in a hotel in Bangkok and when my family hopped into the lift it sunk about a foot. Total family weight less than 300 kilos.

I find your post incomprehensible, he paid the first bill which he thought to high, and is then presented with a second bill. She escalated the situation by attacking him!!! How many times had she pulled this trick in the past. Are you seriously suggesting tourist's should pay any bill presented to them without question.????
The 350 baht Gin and tonic would have been enough for me to stand my ground.

So what percentage of Cambodian hookers have HIV

So, are you suggesting he made a sober decision to take the beating instead of paying a B90 extra beer?
No I'm suggesting on the night of the incident he explained clearly to the police what had happened with the bill and hence this was the reason the bar girl had the menu out explaining it to the police.
It obviously wasn't a very believable story and hence she spent the night in jail.

I opened an account originally in 2009 and would go through a passport every 14 months.
Tried to get a new debit card on a trip to Thailand in 2015, Could not do... They would let me use my new passport and my bank book but that was it.
Went back in 2016 and they needed to see every passport I had since 2009. They copied them and issued me a new card,

You forgot to mention the B350 Gin and Tonic, which leaves 250 for three, what, beers--or was it a fourth beer that someone ordered and forgot. Just seems funny this was not the story told the night it happened
Was it the story told.
I didn't hear what he was saying to the police, did you?
They seemed quick to help him..

I have had this crap without the fighting.
One night I paid a bill and was then presented with a second bill.
The second bill was for a guy sitting next to me who had passed out. He was passed out when I arrived.

They know everything about Thailand and are very streetwise , obviously not or they would have queried the bill from the start . When you troll round these areas you need to be aware , which they weren't. They didn't deserve to be assaulted but maybe they will be a bit more polite next time they encounter a problem with their bill . Sometimes it's just better to pay and never frequent that bar again . Saves on the hospital bills .
It seems they did query it pretty quick...
600 seems to be for a round.

I took my daughter there the other year and we stayed away from the sleezier parts of town, was like going to anywhere else in Thailand and after frequenting the place on my own for almost 2 decades was surprised how normal it can be.
This is true but then this comes up.
Why bother going there if not for sex as there are so many other parts of thailand that are much nicer.

That's exactly what I think happened. He made a comment about the price, then the yabba loaded slut saw read and attacked.
Many of these working females have an exceptionally short fuse.
Not just the working ones but my wife also.

Anyone thought perhaps he was attacked because he said he was going to the police station.
From my experience most bars are fairly quick to call the cops over bill problems.
This lady was however not....

Are you blind? Did you not watch the video? The tourist paid a very heavy price for allegedly not paying his bar tab.
Many people are listening to what this bar slut said in the video and believe her. I wouldn't believe a word coming out of that vile person's mouth. It's quite possible she got angry and whacked him before he had a chance to get his money out. He may have just complained about the prices and that was enough for her to fly into a blind rage.
I have said it 1000% times to people in Thailand that the people have no understanding of sarcasm.
He may have been presented with a whopping bill and then sarcastically said 7/11 is cheaper. She took it literally and then attacked him thinking he had no intention of paying.
He was still seated when he was attacked.

According to the Bar Girl. Now how about asking the tourist for his version of what happened.
It seems he gave it down at the station already.
Thats why she was arrested.

Her bar should be closed for 6 months.she attacked tourists with a deadly weapon should be in jail and pay all hospital bills.
Yes hadn't they implemented that rule...

Have a look at 2:44 on the video.
Is anything happening there.

How much is a dairy and sheep farm in Australia worth these days?
Well he is still working at 78 so that should give you a fair idea.

I went on a boat tour and got suckered into paying 400 baht for an hours snorkeling which was pretty average.
Then on arriving to Phi Phi island there were a couple guys there screaming for more money.
Funny how the tax man turns up in a little dingy with a smile on his face.

I know that is against our western sensibilities to pay more but a little bit more wouldn't be unreasonable Let's not forget Thai people rarely have the chance to travel overseas as us westerners do.
Not true...

Last time I was in the UK I went into a coffee shop and they had a Thai waitress working there, but I didn't feel the need to film her.
Are you sure she was working.
It is very rare to see them work.
Might have been Cambodian.
