You don't need to drop three hundred thousand US dollars on a crib. Hell, you can get a sweet place for $45k depending on location. Remember, many of these girls think westerners have money, and many do. But most of the ones that do are not in Thailand. Thailand attracts the downtrodden and penny punchers trying to string out their pensions in retirement here because they can't afford to retire back home, they cannot get any tang, and they can solicit ladyboys without their friends and family knowing.

Gyro, wait until tomorrow. Then go to any post office. ThaiPost. They do money orders at every post office in Thailand and will charge you under 100 baht fee. It is recognized and accepted in The USA. If you have to, have someone translate it for you, but they have signs saying money order and someone at the post office will speak a little English if not a lot.

Thailand is not the West. Stop thinking in Western terms comparing bargirls to prostitutes in the States and Europe. The fact that she dreams of buying her mother a house tells you a lot about her. A slim chance, but I hope it works out for her.

If a guy can afford to lay out that cash and both are happy, great. It's a sad reflection on the social system where wealthy kids go to private schools and have more than they can ever squander, while the not-so-fortunate can only work menial jobs, make a pittance, and the only way out for them is to be lucky and meet a Prince Charming. Real easy: any post office does money orders for about $2. They are good in the States, but will take several days to clear. Get the money order and send from post office via express mail. Piece of cake.

Grew up with cold weather. Went winter camping. When I first came to Thailand, the heat was unbearable. Finally acclimated, now when I visit home I can't take the cold. Body adjusts. Who knows why this dude died. Probably drank too much and body quit.
