In case the 60 days extension is refused could I still go in-out at a land border to get an extra 30 days?
Thinking about it that could be the easiest option (I just need 25 days)Thank you.

Was that before or after you got the 90 day entry from the non immigrant visa application?
If after the stamp for the 90 days may be considered a new entry. You need to check with immigration about it.
So to be precise:
- I entered Thailand with a 30 days visa exemption on the 19th September 2016
- I got a 60 days extension on the exemption (to visit wife) from 8th November 2016 to 9th January 2017
- I got a NON-O visa on 7th December 2016 valid till 5th March 2017
- I then extended yearly ever since (every 5th of March)
Thanks

Thanks ubonjoe!
At the beginning of the all process 3 years ago I entered with a tourist visa.
I then applied for a 60 days extension (to visit wife) while waiting for the conversion from tourist to NON-O.
Will I qualify for another 60 days to visit wife?
Thanks again for the help -
Hello guys,
my annual NON-O (marriage) extension will expire on the 5th of March 2020.
I'm not planning to extend another year but I need to extend until the end of March (I have a flight out of thailand on the 30th)
What are my options?
can i get a 60 days extension at the end of the 1 year? do i need the exactly same huge amount of paperwork like the annual or is it a bit easier to get?
Thank you! -
thanks you for the help!
I think i wasn't very clear about the visa:
They already have a multiple entry tourist visa, they just need to go in and out to activate the new 60 days entry
Last time they did the in-out by plane but they got some hassle at Krabi airport (show credit card, show flight out of thailand, etc etc), so this time I will drive them to Malaysia hoping for less problems.
From your answers I will try Wang Prachan Border
Thanks again!

Hello guys,
soon i will need to drive my parents (in their late sixties) to Malaysia to activate the next visa on their METV.
Which border is easiest (less hassle) for a quick in-out (same day) with a valid tourist visa?
I heard Wang Prachan Border is supposed to be very friendly but i never been there.
Thank you

Thanks guys! all clear... I will need just a single re-entry permit by the way
@mojaco: could you please share what time of the day was it when you got your permit? how long did the process take?
I'm trying to figure out how early should I be at the airport... My flight leaves at 8:50am... Probably a busy time

Hello guys,
quick question:
Can somebody confirm that is still possible to get a Re-entry permit at Suvarnabhumi without copies/photos? by paying 200 thb more
I'm on a NON-O based on marriage and I will need to fly out on the 20th.
Since I live quite far away from the immigration office it would be a lot better for me to get the the re-entry permit directly at the airport
Thank you

Thank you!
Just to confirm i understood correctly:
Conversion of tourist/exemption Visa to Non O based on marriage: proof of funds coming from abroad NOT NEEDED
Conversion of tourist/exemption Visa to Non O based on retirement: proof of funds coming from abroad NEEDED
Correct?

Hello,
I need to convert my 30 days Visa exempt to a NON O based on marriage.
At the moment I am living close to Nakhon Chai Si so I called the immigration office here and they told me they can do it as long as I have 15 days left on my visa.
They asked the usual documents: marriage certificate, proof of funds, proof of address.
There was no mention of proof of funds coming from abroad.
I currently have a Bangkok Bank account with 400k in it that is a mix of old funds plus some cash I took with me from Europe and exchanged/deposited here.
So there is no way i can prove that all the 400k came from abroad.
My question is:
is this letter 'proof of transfer' really required/requested for the conversion?
Thank you!

thanks guys!
Based on your advice i will contact the Italian embassy in Bangkok asking about the procedure to certify income arising from another country.
Knowing Italian bureaucracy it will be a long process

Hello guys,
i need your help understanding the proof of funds requirements for a Marriage Visa.
My situation:
- Italian national and resident
- Will marry soon a Thai woman
- Will request a marriage single entry visa at consulate in Milan
- Once in Thailand i will ask a one year extension based on marriage
Now here comes the problem:
I own an apartment in Holland that is rented out and provides around 45.000 THB a month.
The money is transferred every month in a Dutch bank account.
Who should provide me with a certification of income?
In a normal situation i would ask the Italian embassy in Bangkok but I'm pretty sure they will not certify an foreign (Dutch) bank account.
Can i ask it to the Dutch embassy even if i am not a resident of that country?
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thank you

Thanks Chillout101,
that's what i needed to know. Between the crazy hotel prices and this waiting period of 10 days i decided to change my plans and head to Laos instead,
thanks for the help
Was at embassy 2 weeks ago with my Myanmar wife to get ED visa for Thailand. We arrived early Monday, around 6.30 am and at 7 am all tokens were gone for Wednesday, same day and next day had gone the week before. We got one for Wednesday wich was fine since we had a week there anyway
We met up with an agent on Thursday morning around 7 am outside embassy to do some other stuff and they were giving out tokens for the following tuesday. I would say somewhere else would be a better deal as I actually can belive the 10 days have some truth to it.
-
yes i have seen the embassy website thanks
that's why i was asking for recent first hand experiences... 10 days it's way too long so if it's really happening i will change my travel plans to Laos
thx

Hi guys,
had anyone got a tourist visa recently from Yangon? how was the process?
I just exchanged a few mail with embassy and they say things that contradict what i read here on TV before.
They are saying there's a waiting period of up to the 10 days! and that i can pay only with super new USD.
thanks

kikoman: sorry i was without internet for couple of days, now it's too late for sure.
Thanks a lot anyway. I will contact you again when i am around central thailand.
-
kikoman:
mmmh now i want them
have you got a post office close by? do you think the cuttings will survive 4/5 days in a box?
-
yeah that's the one... different names in different part of the world... in italy we call it indian fig, in nothern europe i think they call it cactus fruit, in US prickly pear etc etc
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opuntia
pics of the actual peeled fruit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Prickly_pears.jpg
-
kikoman: did you get any edible fruit out of them? i was pretty close to you (nakhom pathom) and today i just came back to south. bad luck. if you are willing to share a cutting i will probably be around central again in 2/3 months
thanks!

Hello I'm looking for Opuntia ficus/Prickly Pear cuttings to grow my own.
Preferably in southern Thailand.
I saw them growing once in north-west but i was on a bus and couldn't stop.
Thanks in advance.
-
Thanks for the great guide.
Couple of questions if you can help:
- is it possible to extend the visa also in other offices outside bangkok? like nakhon pathom?
- do i need to wait until my visa is almost expired of can i just go during the first few weeks?
thanks a lot
