I read about this too, it happens that my battery runs out to 5% sometime and I plug it in an go to 100%... , but they say the modern lion batteries don't suffer from "memory loss" , as  they call it , any more. So that does not help and basically they say always keep and charge between about 20% and 80%....

With Li-ion it's sometimes the Battery Management System chip reporting wrong values to the OS causing it to cut off charging prematurely. Power cycling the battery (draining till it shuts off,  then charging back to 100%) can help the BMS recalibrate.

Otherwise it's just normal capacity loss or capacity fading at play.

By the way, I read a lot about people saying charge batteries  when it's at like 30% to just 80%, this way it increases battery life and charging cycle...!

    But I don't get it [...]

I think they're trying to avoid heat/stress damage to the anode, cathode, membrane barrier, and electrolyte to allow the battery more than 1000 charge cycles. I used to follow the guidance when a mobile phone Li-ion battery cost $100 US to replace. Now that the cost is much lower I don't bother.

You just need his play store ID and password.

Then it can be tracked through Google.

If you know the Android phone's google setup account (the play store ID BritManToo references) then you can log into that google account and *potentially* see where it's been, where it is, then set a ring or have a message be displayed *But* only when it next connects to the Internet. Found phones  typically get RESET or sold for parts.

Also, knowing the IMEI number won't be very useful -- as while the mobile phone service provider can track when/where the phone connects to their service they typically only will do so if Law Enforcement makes a valid request.

I recently had a 13yo lose her new smartphone. Was able to see its recorded position up to 6:45am the morning it disappeared. Because of that timestamp I'm guessing she dropped it or powered it down and sold/gave it to someone later that day.

    Songkran in 2020
Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the public holidays for Songkran were postponed until later in the year.

The first of the three substitute holidays took place on Monday July 27th to create a four-day weekend for Deleted's Birthday. The remaining two holidays will take place on Friday September 4th and Monday September 7th, creating another long weekend.

I'm guessing the OP is thinking about 2021?

  5. From Wikipedia: Thai Addressing System

    Plot, house and village

    Main article: Muban

Thai muban (หมู่บ้าน) correspond only loosely to actual settlements, which may well have separate names, but these are not used for addresses. They are divided into groups mu (หมู่), often transliterated moo or abbreviated "M", which are divided into numbered plots (บ้านเลขที่ ban lek ti), which may (or may not) contain multiple houses. All numbers are assigned in the order they were originally registered, and generally do not follow any geographical or logical sequence.

In cities, a large named building often plays the role of "village", which is then followed by the apartment number.

A typical address in Phuket might be:

    7/22 M.5, Soi Ta-iat, Chaofa West Rd., T. Chalong
    A. Phuket 83130 Thailand

This corresponds to house 22 on plot 7, Mu 5, Ta-iat lane, Chaofa West Road, Chalong Sub-district, Mueang Phuket District.

You have misread my post - I am asking about the rules for STATE quarantine and wondering if they are any different to those for ASQ as my friend was allowed out for exercise but my wife isn't.

Not sure the I misread your post. I provided generalized search links that *might* have given someone clues to how the Thai Government have set up their quarantine/isolation programs, and possibly allowed someone to find and compare the guidelines/rules separating how the STATE and ASQ programs are set up. Also, given that the Thai Military Government was involved in the planning and preparation it's almost a given they'd not publish much in order to keep 'others' from examining or questioning the process.

Also, as one is FREE and the other is PAID I'd assume there would be differences on how 'guests' in each program would be treated or otherwise accommodated.

I think the only way you'll find what you're looking for is through collecting first-hand reports such as those you've already gathered.

Very odd article to be writing and publishing. Usually sites try to PROMOTE Thai Festivals using encouraging and positive enticements to get more people to attend.

  8. Every ASQ subscribed facility is bound to be slightly different from each other given physical facilities and support restrictions to meet different levels of constant/continued isolation requirements.

Recommend doing a google search for

Who thought it was a good idea to put a full screen YouTube video which plays automatically on the home page?

They seem to have swapped out the distracting background video now for a static image. The site is still trying too hard to be modern and hip for my taste.

"Silent retreat is the opportunity to notice what keeps your attention at the surface, to be honest with yourself about what prevents you from falling into your innermost depth, and to practice surrender of the mind’s safety-seeking strategies while being held in the loving spaciousness of the “container” of the retreat itself."

  11. I wish that just ONE of these returnee articles would report on back-tracing the vector of the exposure/infection  ...that is unless it's a GIVEN that exposure can't be eliminated even if fulfilling all the pre-flight requirements AND only a post-flight quarantine can eliminate the chance of further exposures.

Sorry sheeple, we can't tell you the truth and risk world-wide panic and destructive behavior on your part ...this isn't the same as your team losing the superbowl and allowing you to do some minor looting, there are higher stakes in play here.  Whatever.

'It is indeed true that on Windows, as well as on Macs, you will see many more IP addresses available in the application.

Your VPN provider is offering alternative remote connection options via the installed application. You would think the company could offer the *same* connections using an 'APP' (and not relying on built-in OS connection options).

  13. Does your "Windows Ipad" (I'm assuming tablet device) have an option for HDMI-out, as that would be the easiest to implement (if the content app allows high-resolution video-out via HDMI).

Alternatively, most 'casting' options stream video content over WiFi or Ethernet LAN (which would be an issue as your working connection likely is being firewalled when your Internet is rerouted through the VPN tunnel).

I think I'd focus on trying to use the BeeLink Android Player as the VPN content source, and use the tablet as a remote control.

Command-line switches for Microsoft Office products

    support.microsoft.com

You can add options like this by using subcommands called command-line switches to an Office app's startup command.

If you want to use the customization just one time, you can type the command and switch in the Run dialog box (Start menu) in Microsoft Windows. If you want to use a particular switch many times or every time that you start the app, you can create a desktop shortcut that starts the program by using the same switch and parameters. This article describes how to do both.

Yes, those are everywhere. I'm looking for the longer soft ones, that are often different colors.

If you are in Bangkok then suggest doing a Google Maps Search for Bangkok Beauty Supply shops (link) and see if any are close to you.

A shop known as the Nail Outlet shows the foam buffer boards on their facebook page and Website, though there should be other similar shop clustered around Bangkok that also carry them in stock.
