Who are you two talking to?  The TV can't hear you. It's just an image of a journalist.

When I was younger my grandmother told me the 'government' was listing to us through the TV (television). I didn't listen. And because of our generation's inaction "they" have just gotten more brazen and now offer the "always listening" up as a openly marketed feature.  ????

ok, let me tell you a secret, a vaccine is not a guarantee that you won't get sick. it may happen, but in a mild form.

You shouldn't be telling secrets Dmitry.

The news stories are bunk.  Just because 3 vaccinated people later becoming Covid-19 positive means nothing. It's statistically insignificant, and there are too many reasons to explain why 3 vaccinations may have failed.

When the self-serving writer of these news stories can show 300 or 3000 similar instances then I might be interested in actually reading the article. What I want to see are after-action studies, what is the overall efficacy, duration of protection, side-effects, can this vaccine protect the inoculated against American stupid (that will be an ever ongoing infection vector threat).

For contributed list of names and usage please see the section titled:

        Tropical Cyclone Names Worldwide

Western North Pacific and the South China Sea Names                                                                 V

The Regional Specialized Meteorological Centre (RSMC) Tokyo - Typhoon Centre will assign a tropical cyclone a name from the list followed by a 4-digit identification number (in brackets). Names on the list will only be given to tropical cyclones of tropical storm strength or above.

These names are used sequentially. That is, if the last storm of the year is Cimaron, the first storm of the next year is Jebi.

  5. ...I don't know if this even applies to procrastinators, but

    Urgent advice required
By Allstars, March 8, 2017 in Thai visas, residency and work permits

My extension based on retirement needs to be renewed on 10 March at the latest. Since my current passport expires in August I applied for a new passport on 20 February with the promise that it would take 10 working days. Because of circumstances beyond my control the passport isn't issued yet.

My embassy has agreed to immediately  issue a 1 year temporary passport. Can I apply for a new extension with that temporary passport?

  6. Visas and extensions of stay based on them cannot run past the Passport expiry date (and for Thailand a Passport must still be valid for 6 months to even qualify).

I also believe any covid 'amnesty' extension does not apply to holder's of expired passports.

It appears your only coarse of action would be to stay quiet, apply immediately for a replacement passport, then PAY whatever overstay fine may be applied (if further covid 'amnesty' extensions aren't forthcoming) and hope they don't arrest or force your deportation.  Unfortunately anything you do will preclude you from extending your existing extension as normal, so there will be 'that' issue later on.

If you crossed your fingers an prayed to whatever deity you believe in, and even those you don't, you *might* be able to get a replacement passport before your current extension expires and pretend nothing was amiss, ...but the odds are not in your favor.

...also, it's best to try and keep this ALL under one open topic post, the mods typically don't like the confusion of having multiple threads open (especially ones short on fact elements).

  7. The two systems are usually well segregated out of necessity (driven by equipment provisioning, user location tracking and resource billing operational edicts), but the two *may* share some trunk or back-haul data transport pipes back to the NOC. But beyond that potential sharing the two are typically treated as almost different companies with separate infrastructure (even if TrueInternet, for example, bundles TrueMove SIM Card service with their Internet/TV package). It's confusing, but individual.

Hopefully you are following the CURRENT special instructions for travel requirements posted on your local Thai Consulate website.

If you continue to have issues please let the forum know

    • the country you are currently in
    • the Consulate webpage prerequisite/instruction list you are following
    • the type of visa you are attempting to acquire, along the reason for travel to Thailand

[...] can set the provided router in bridge and then put an other in the network.

Are there members that have done this with True.

Getting bridge mode with TRUE will probably depend on the CPE Service type, area provisioning doctrine, and how well you communicate the need for bridge mode to customer support.

Past TRUE customers have seemingly accomplished acquiring a bridge mode configuration, while others struggle primarily because of the CPE service type, CGNAT provisioning, or lack of willingness from TRUE to even discuss the possibility.

Would I be correct in thinking if you use Bridge mode and you require the asus router to simultaneous access a Thai region locked app and another country region locked app that you would require to do VPN split tunneling subject to the offerings that your VPN service offers on split tunneling.

My understanding is some vpn services offer VPN split tunneling at router level and some vpn services only offer limited split tunneling through the browser extension on the client device

If you want your device(s) to have simultaneous access to both local (LAN and local Internet services) and remote region locked Internet service by a pre-selected second application then, yes, you'll want to look for a VPN service that offers "Split Tunneling" solution. Some VPN vendors may offer this as router-based providing service to ALL subnetwork connected device clients or only on a device client by client basis [see Express VPN Split Tunneling].

Factbox: What we know about Denmark's mink coronavirus strain
    REUTERS | By Nikolaj Skydsgaard, Jacob Gronholt-Pedersen | NOVEMBER 7, 2020 | 5 MIN READ

Mink and humans have a similar biological trait regarding a so-called ACE2-enzyme expressed by cells of the respiratory tract, which makes it easier for mink to be infected with a virus that has adapted to humans, Allan Randrup Thomsen, a virologist at Copenhagen University, told Reuters.

Mike Ryan, the WHO’s top emergencies expert, said “there’s always the potential that this can come back to humans.”

    ARE OTHER LIVESTOCK AT RISK?
The risk is much lower in other farm animals, such as pigs and poultry, because farms have “very strict” biosecurity in place to prevent viruses jumping the species barrier, the WHO’s Ryan said on Friday.

Tests have failed to infect swine, while cattle had been infected to only “a very small degree,” according to the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration. It said a sample taken from a gull’s foot tested positive for the novel coronavirus, but there was no evidence it had infected birds.

And when looking for 5G 'devices' people will need to be vigilant about product label markings, as there is a big difference between the 5G of "mobile wireless 4G(LTE)/5G" [5th Generation mobile network] and "WiFi 2.4G/5G" [5 GHz radio frequency spectrum].
