  1. Can't cancel and convert it to anything. You would need to leave the country and come back in on a new 30 day visa and start the whole process over.
  2. Sorry, I made a mistake. “The Acknowledgement of Penalties for A Visa Overstay” is actually just a one page form. I am attaching all the forms here as both JPG & PDF for the following forms that I listed in my post above: 9 - A single page form that only says "Statement" at the top (provided to you at immigration). 10 - A single page form entitled "ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PERMIT OF TEMPORARY STAY IN THE KINGDOM OF THAILAND". (provided to you at immigration). 11 - A form entitled "The Acknowledgement of Penalties for A Visa Overstay" (provided to you at immigration). I didn't name the attached files, I just numbered them. They are all A4 sized files, which are good quality and can be printed very easily by any printer or print shop. There is also a 4th form that is 2 pages which I had forgotten about and is just a document that you have to sign to acknowledge. Nothing to fill in. It is the terms of qualification for a retirement visa. You just sign on the dotted lines at the bottom of the second page. What I would suggest doing with all of the forms is filling them all out once, but without signing them. Then make multiple photo copies of each of the filled in forms. Then, in the future, you can just sign the photo copies of the forms with blue ink, but without having to fill out the forms again every year. 1.pdf 2.pdf 3.pdf 4.pdf
  3. Please note that I believe “The Acknowledgement of Penalties for A Visa Overstay” form is a 2 sided form, thus 2 pages. I’ll recheck later.
  4. I realize you are applying in Korat, but here are the document requirements at CW in case there is some overlap which may be useful: 1 - Form TM.7 Completed and Signed - 2 Pages - Front & Back 2 - One recent 4X6CM Photo Of Yourself – Attach to back side of form TM.7 3 - A letter from your bank certifying your current account balance. Letter to be issued and dated the same date as the day when applying for the extension of stay. 4 – Update passbook at the bank on the same day as applying for the extension of stay and create a photocopy of the updated account balance to give to Immigration. Also, photocopy the front page of passbook showing your name and account number and any photocopy all pages in between containing any deposits and withdrawals for the past 12 months. 5 – A certified (signed and stamped) bank statement issued by the bank for the 12 month period starting from the date that the last 1 year extension was applied for until present date. 6 – Photocopy of the first page of the passport and photocopies of all passport pages containing visas stamps and passport entry and exit stamps pertaining to the current visa. 7 - Copy of the current receipt from immigration for form TM.47 (90 day notification of residence address in Thailand). 8 – Hand drawn map showing directions to your residence. 9 - A single page form that only says "Statement" at the top (provided to you at immigration). 10 - A single page form entitled "ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PERMIT OF TEMPORARY STAY IN THE KINGDOM OF THAILAND". (provided to you at immigration). 11 - A two page form entitled "The Acknowledgement of Penalties for A Visa Overstay" (provided to you at immigration). 12 - Copy of House Registration (if you have one). 13 – Copy of Pink Government ID Card (if you have one). *All of the above photocopied documents you submit need to also have your hand written signature somewhere on the photocopy (preferably in blue ink).
  5. I suspect this is a common occurrence and normally they won't require something that you are not able to provide. When you first arrive at CW you will meet with a person who checks documents before you meet with an immigration officer. At that moment the document checker might ask where is your 90 day report if they are looking for it. Then explain you just entered the country in the last 30 days (or whatever it's been). They will see your entry stamp date and I assume the document checker will make a note of it. Then hopefully it won't come up again during the rest of the procedure. To be honest, if I were in that situation, I wouldn't be worrying about it.
  6. Also, I confirmed there are 3 extra forms you need to fill out at Immigration which aren't on my list above: 1 - A single page form that only says "Statement" at the top. It seems to be some sort of affidavit. You have to fill out name and address at the top and then sign the bottom. 2 - A single page form entitled "ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PERMIT OF TEMPORARY STAY IN THE KINGDOM OF THAILAND". Requires name, age, date and signature twice at the bottom. 3 - A two page form entitled "The Acknowledgement of Penalties for A Visa Overstay". Requires date, name, age, nationality and signature twice at the bottom on the first page and then signature only again on the second page.
  7. When you refer to BKK are you referring to BBL or Bangkok Bank? If yes, and you are using Bangkok Bank, then next question is do you have the Bangkok Bank mobile app in your phone? If you do then is your fixed deposit account linked to your accounts within the Bangkok Bank mobile app? If so, then click on the "More Services" tab at the bottom of the app and you will see an option for "Request account statement". There you can request a (free of charge) statement for up to 12 months back and it will be emailed to your email address on file with the bank which is associated with your account. You should receive the email from BBL within 10 minutes. It will come as a password protected PDF file attachment. Your 8 digit birthdate will be the password to unlock the file (day, month, year). Then you can print that statement out.
  8. Are these two mobile apps still in service or have they both been decommissioned?
  9. Interesting how things are different at each office. Here they just hand you the extra forms and then you can fill them out while the IO is typing your details into the system for the extension. They don't make a fuss about it at CW thankfully. And I remember having the photo taken with that overstay penalty form 2-3 times in the past.
  10. In CW they normally hand you a few documents like this to fill out and sign when you are sitting at the desk with the IO. In my experience these additional forms can change from time to time so I normally just wait until I go to immigration and fill out whatever extra forms they ask me to do. Thus, I don't try and fill these things out in advance since they might change. I also recall that with the one regarding penalties of overstay that they would like you to hold up the form after you sign it and they take a digital photo of you holding the signed form. Again, this is just from memory, so apologies if this information isn't entirely up to date.
  11. Thank you. That is good news. With regards to TM47, you are referring to your current receipt from immigration of 90 day report I assume?
  12. I think this is the current website: https://tm30.immigration.go.th/tm30api/loginExternal.jsp
  13. https://tm30.immigration.go.th/tm30api/loginExternal.jsp
  14. Do they require a TM30 at CW too? I signed up once years ago using the Section 38 app, which doesn't seem to work anymore for some reason. The app opens, but can no longer login in. Anyway, I've never been asked for it at CW in the past and I have a print out from the app I made years ago when the app was still working. Is something different required now?
  15. Following is the 10 item list I always work from. Can't guarantee though that it is fully up to date as of now. Documents: 1 - Form TM.7 Completed and Signed - 2 Pages - Front & Back 2 - 4X6 CM Photo Of Yourself – Attach to back side of form TM.7 3 - A letter from your bank certifying your current account balance to be issued and dated the same date as the day when applying for the extension of stay. 4 – Update passbook at the bank on the same day as applying for the extension of stay and create a photocopy of the updated current account balance to give to Immigration. Also photocopy the front page of passbook showing your name and account number and any pages in between containing deposits and withdrawals for the past 12 months. 5 – A certified bank statement issued by the bank for the 12 month period starting from the date that the last 1 year extension was applied for. 6 – Photocopy of the first page of the passport and photocopies of all pages containing visas stamps and entry and exit stamps pertaining to the current visa. 7 - Copy of the current receipt from immigration for form TM.47 (90 day notification of residence address in Thailand). 8 - Copy of House Registration (if available) 9 – Copy Of Pink Government ID Card (if available) 10 – Hand drawn map showing directions to your residence. Originals Documents: 1 - Passport 2 – Bank Passbook
  16. I went to the local Bangkok Bank branch where I opened the account. They could only give me a 6 month statement on the spot. I asked for two 6 month statements for the two different 6 month periods, but they told me their system doesn't allow them to enter a date older than 6 months. Cost is 100 Baht for the 6 month statement. A 12 month statement takes 3 business days to order from the head office at a cost of 200 Baht. You can download a 12 month statement from your Internet banking and it gets emailed to you instantly at no cost. But as we know, this kind of statement does not have a bank stamp on it and likely won't be accepted. I downloaded one and it looks identical to ones printed by the bank at the branch, just no stamp or signature.
  17. By the way, if your 12 month statement only covers you up until say 4-5 days prior to the date of your application to extend your visa, then what will immigration expect you to do to cover the proof of balance for those 4-5 days in between?
  18. Yes, indeed. I actually used to use SCB before and I always had to visit the branch close to me first to get all the paperwork before going out to CW, which was always extra effort. Nice to have it all under one roof out at CW. Then the S&P rating downgrade hit SCB in 2022 and that's when I made the jump to BBL. This year is the first time I will be presenting the BBL account though for an extension so that's why I had some questions about the statements.
  19. Thank you. My savings account at BBL for the visa is not used for anything. Just interest going in and out. But I assume they will want the 12 month statements anyway. I'll check with my local BBL branch first to make sure I will be able to get two six month statements at the BBL branch at CW. Waiting 30-60 minutes for all the paperwork at BBL CW (if necessary) won't be an issue.
  20. I believe statements aren’t required on fixed deposits because the money can’t be withdrawn intermittently during the year. Monthly statements are only likely required on savings accounts where money can be withdrawn anytime at will.
  21. Right, you can transfer over 50K to BBL, SCB, and KBank. All other Thai banks the limit is no more than 50K in one transfer.
  22. I am not sure, but I think Wise can only transfer more than 50,000 THB in one go to the 3 biggest banks in Thailand and none of the others. So another reason to bank at one of the 3 biggest Thai banks if you do a lot of transfers with Wise.
  23. 4 Thai banks had their credit ratings downgraded by S&P in mid 2022 because of having structural problems. 2 of those banks were SCB and KBank. BBL was not downgraded, in part because it is deemed systemically important to the country's economy and banking system and the international credit rating agencies like Fitch and S&P believe it will never become insolvent. I chose BBL at the time because some Thai banks were looking less secure and because it is the only Thai Bank, of the 3 biggest Thai banks (SCB, BBL, KBank) with a branch at CW immigration that wasn't downgraded. Also seemed like the safest and most convenient place to park the required visa money for the long term. Have had no problems with BBL and the suggested two 6-month statement solution also sounds fine.
  24. I once had a problem after getting a new passport issued because the old passport number was still in the system. The only way I could resolve the issue was by leaving the country. Eventually I left and came back in on the new passport and then never a problem again.
