  1. Do you mean the TINY MINORITY of high-risk unvaccinated folks with underlying HEALTH conditions are significantly more likely to become seriously ill, hospitalized, or die? Or, are you suggesting that anyone... whatever their age, weight, physical condition, and health status... are significantly more likely to become seriously ill, hospitalized, or die if they're unvaccinated? I've never quite understood the broad use of "The Unvaccinated," so I'm open to being educated. Thank you.
  2. Thai Doctor Warns of New "Covid 22 Virus" After everything people have gone through, one can't help wonder why headlines like this are matters of public interest. I mean, who decides it's a good idea to throw stuff like this out there for all to see? Other recent headlines have read: Warning of Potential African Swine Fever Spreading Across Thailand. And how about: Poultry farmers in Thailand warned by WHO of the re-emergence of H5N6 bird flu. Heck, it wasn't long ago when NASA warned of a threat to earth posed by meteors. The list goes on... it does. Experts, if you're reading, please, <deleted> with your DOOM AND GLOOM until we actually need to run for them there hills. Thank you.
  3. It's funny you should mention that. A local fuel station near me has a big sign up to say all its staff are fully vaccinated. Perhaps if you get COVID-19 from a fully-vaccinated pump attendant, it's less severe than from an unvaccinated person. I obviously still have a lot to learn, so I must keep up with the ever-changing news.
  4. And? Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a good education, great parents, and fine people look up as they grow up. There's a lot of luck in the dice of life, you know? And if you tick any of the above positives, well, it's only by chance. Think on…
  5. Yes, that's right, but it's totally wrong and completely unnecessary. Leave the grieving grandson out of the story, that's what I say. They tried the "Don't Kill Grannie and GET VACCINATED' headline in the UK. It was soon dropped for obvious reasons.
  6. What an awful way to report an unfortunate situation. They could have just reported, "A bed-ridden 86-year-old woman who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease has died from Omicron variant." But instead, the news has blamed the grandson for killing his grannie. That's very insensitive. Perhaps there will be a follow-up story to say he was unvaccinated. Phew! You can just hear the anti-anti-COVID-vaxxer mob preparing their virtual lynching.
  7. Where would you draw the line, Chang1? For example, there are around 166,000 cancer deaths in the UK alone every 12 months (more than double the country's COVID-19 death rate). By the way, that's FROM cancer, not WITH it. And according to WHO, up to 50% of all cancer cases are preventable. Perhaps the clueless DIY Disaster Dads should also pay for orthopedic treatment for broken bones and amputations? And let's not forget all that costly care and treatment for preventable obesity, alcohol, and smoking-related illness. The list goes on… and on… and on. Heck, with your logic, only the fit and healthy would be entitled to medical treatment, but then, they wouldn't need it, would they. Stubby
  8. Please see my previous response before making assumptions. Thank you.
  9. Fair enough, Hammer. Perhaps someone here can try to retrieve their number to see if the problem is widespread or local to me?
  10. I haven't been vaccinated yet due to a potential health (brain clotting) concern. However, I was given the all-clear yesterday. That's why I haven't got any saved data. Stubby
  11. Good afternoon, Chiang Mai. I can't seem to recall my COVID-19 Vaccination 13-digit ID number. Am I missing something here? I have tried different web browsers, but the space where the number should be is always blank. Stubby
  12. OK, thank you, everybody. I just wanted to confirm, that's all. Appreciate all the responses. Happy New Year. Stubby
  13. Hi, Folks. Can someone please confirm that this is the Promenada Mall where the COVID Vaccination Centre is? Promenada Chiang Mai Thank you in advance, Stubby
  14. Yes, this is what I mean. As others have stated, it's always busy at this time of year, but this year seems extreme. I saw similar traffic ques yesterday at around the same time, so I didn't bother going in. But it wasn't much different at 10 am this morning. There certainly doesn't seem to be any fear of the coronavirus. Still, that may be a good thing now... all things considered.
  15. Hi, folks. You may want to give Makro Mae Hia a miss today if you're worried about coronavirus. I was there at around 10 am, and it was packed and getting busier all the time. Seriously, it was like a gigantic Petri dish. Parking is also bumper-to-bumper. And few were social distancing inside; it would have been difficult anyway due to the numbers. It might quieten down later in the day, but my guess it's going to get even busier, at least until early evening. Stubby
  16. Correctamundo! It's the regular news channels they've already appeared on posting... no... pushing.... what's already been aired. They're all over YouTube, so that the message doesn't get lost. But the poor sods who oppose these views (I'm talking about other experts, no some radom vlogger) get canceled for daring to disagree. I don't understand why no one can see what's been happening. Look, if there are opposing views from equally qualified experts, we should be allowed to hear them on the same platforms. It's so wrong to block them from public media. How the heck is the layperson supposed to make well-informed decisions when they're only fed one-sided narratives. Geesh!
  17. Wrong! It's not a debate; it's the same old names with the same old faces spouting the same old line. "We just haven't got enough data yet to know for sure..." nods everyone outside of SA, irrespective of what they might think.
  18. Umm… expert virologists and epidemiologists ARE all over YouTube. In fact, they're the only ones who the Google God doesn't cancel. The one thing this pandemic has shown is that the global authorities no longer tolerate intelligent debate.
  19. Well, 99.9 percent of all species that have existed on planet Earth are now extinct, why not us? Once nature has had enough of any living organism, she has a way of removing it. We might be intelligent, but can't outsmart the natural order of things. Hell, we can't even stop a light breeze from blowing. Where's the good lord above when you need her!!!
  20. Hahaha lol ???? I had to laugh, but it's not really funny. I mean, imagine if there was such a thing as an Earth Doctor. How would it view this pleasure-seeking race known as Homosapien? That's right, we'd be labeled as an aggressive cancer. After all, we destroy everything we touch and have no place at all in the fine balance of nature. Heck, if we're really God's chosen ones, all I can say is that Lucifer's got some serious competition on his hands. See, the truth is... as a species... you know... we ain't very nice, we're just not. But hey, I might have got it all completely wrong… it happens. In which case, someone wiser than I should correct me.
