The airport should be closed now, & a team of overseas specialists should be brought in to thoroughly investigate the true extent of the the problem.
If not all the major airlines should boycott the airport .

300 or 400 baht. They state from where to where....... does anyone know what the distance was and how much the fare should normally be????
However far it was with TEN people in the tuk tuk it was only 30 or 40 baht each, even for a short distance reasonable price.
The charge now is 40/50 baht per person so the charge of 400 baht was fair, the lying Egyptian got what he deserved.

For two years we've been threatening to get rid of TrueVision. On the Gold package the channels of interest were limited to no more than 12 and many of them seemed to repeat just 24 hours of new programs a week.
At the beginning of June we dropped them. Don't miss a thing. The wife still gets her Thai terrestrial channels and I can always get the world news and sports on the internet.
Bye-bye TrueVision.
I guess you are not a football fan then.

At least they should learn some self-discipline and teamwork, at worst enhanced combat skills. Disciplinary measures used to include cleaning latrines, peeling spuds, forced long-distance hikes in full gear, "marching up and down the square", and solo night watches beset by mosquitoes bitgod. ;-) Wonder what the Thai army's "course" comprises.
Thanks for the Monty Python clip absolutely priceless. Seriously tho` Cameron should do the same with the benefit funded thugs
in the UK.Wherever there origins

What do young women find attractive about Thailand, its either stinking hot or teeming down rain.
Young & older men the attractions are obvious.
Still a terrible tragedy, their families must be devastated.
RIP.
Seriously?! Get out to some of the islands which still have areas that feel like paradise on Earth.
You are probably right. I have lived in Chiang Saen for the past 10 yrs. It could be a million miles from Phi Phi etc.
Tho. i did pay my annual visit to `the islands` a couple of weeks ago,but with the tremors, cost of living,& too many fallang
it was a relief to get back up north. My post was about the young ladies i see backpacking up north, but i suppose i have
forgotten what its like to be young.
Once again may the two young ladies rest in peace.

Wharever the rights & wrongs the soccer mad public of Thailand are missing some great games.
Just seen the terrific header by big Andy from Stevies cross on you tube.
Hopefully, very soon we get to see the remainder of Euro 2012 on satellite.

There is no way i will get up at 2 am to watch the games live, but i would love to be able to watch a replay a few hours later.Football is one of the few sporting
pleasures in Thailand now they have taken that away.

Have just signed up with a proxy tv company, great reception: [email protected].

To me the Irish guy is way out of order, all that commotion, & violence in front of his young daughter, over a few balloons .A breatherlyser reading would have been interesting.
This sort of loutish behavior may be acceptable in Ireland, but certainly not in Thailand.I am very surprised BTS apologised.

Here In Chiang Saen its really bad, and being made much worse by the road widening work being carried out. The truck drivers must
be on a pay per run deal and drive like lunatics, throwing up the sand etc it really is a nightmare.

My lady and i are going on a coach trip in April. From Chiang Rai to Phuket,a seven day tour. When you read about these
terrible tragedies, you say is it worth it. I am a fatalist by nature, que sera, sera.
God bless the poor people that perished, and a quick recovery to the injured.

ninety percent. of Thais should not be allowed to have a dog, of any kind, but 4 pit-bulls roaming
free, god almighty.
R.I.P. to this poor man,a terrible way to die.

So I guess they will be released back into the soi's to fight over food scraps or they will simply become land fill. Yep they were certainly saved.
Better than being on a dinner plate. They are innocent animals.
Animals eat other Animals all the time, that's how things survive.
yes true, but not like this, this is cruel.
