  1. I agree that Pattaya is now a new cleaned up City ,because of this Wuhan Chinese virus .One can now walk down Soi 6 ,without that rotten fishy smell .Less cats calls all round to the sound  of >come inside you handsome devil < .

  2. >>I was horrified <<...........is this a common occurrence for you ?   That could be bad for your health as there are many things in Thailand one could be horrified about if you let it .

Go listen to the London Real interview with David Icke... This guy has finally come full circle and we need to listen to what he has to say with our own critical mind. Don't simply dismiss what he has to say in this interview. Unless of course you don't really give a <deleted>, then just go back to your farm pen and go back to sleep... sheeple.

Poor old David Icke has lost it .I used to be a fan.Now is is saying that there is no deadly virus and its just 5G burning the lungs .

Really depends on the owner. I have been renting a 2br house in Chiang Mai 3 years now. I have done a lot work around the place to make it easier to live. It is in a gated mooban In Padaet. A lot of people in the mooban were not paying the community fee (in my case 500/month) and the owner of my house was 18 months behind. Several attempts by the mooban owners (not sure what they are called) to collect failed to they issued people with a Bluetooth device to open entrance gate, Not paid up you don't get in. Owner lives 300km so I agreed with agent to pay fee and deduct from rent after she caught up the 18 months arrears. I renewed lease in February so owner wanted me to still pay the 500 plus full rent which worked out to be 5% rent increase. On talking with the agent he says the owner believes rent should be increased every year. But because I have kept the place clean and tidy and made improvements they suggested she didn't. Still copped the 5% and I am ok with that.

Thats why i hardly ever rented when i lived in Thailand .Over the years i owned 2 houses and 2 Condos alternatively .I like to do up a place to suit my needs and a landlord  will just take advantage of that .Would only ever buy a Condo though as my ex-Thai wife burned me on my last house sale .( a story told a million times over )

  5. Interesting numbers out of the Netherlands i saw on Dr Campbell's YT blog .They checked 10,000 normal everyday blood donors blood for corona virus anti bodies ,and 3% had the antibody ,meaning they had the virus but many without symptoms .Then the death rate for the virus was compared to the total population of 17 and a bit million .It worked out that the virus had a mortality rate of just 0.6 % .( ie,less than 1% )

Fair Warning!!! If I see any Chinese tour buses anytime soon in Pattaya, I will be calling a good friend of mine who works in US State Department back home in WAshington, DC. And I will let him, and the rest of the world know just how corrupt, incompetent and money hungry the Thai Government really is! #Americafirst2020

This is exactly the same attitude the Amphur had when my wife and I went to apply for a yellow book. They insisted on having my father's name, and I said my father is dead, he never lived with me, he isn't on my birth certificate, he doesn't exist or never did exist in my life and I don't know his name .

    They wouldn't accept that.

This childish mentality of these fukkkin beaurocrats where they have to tick every fukkkkin box pisssses me off.

You have to play their game .Just make up a name and details of your father .They will never know .I have that yellow book myself .

Wife and her sister got emails this morning that it was nearly there. Both were doing cleaning prior to the crisis. Both ran into issues with their last names, still from ex-husbands on their bank accts. Took divorce papers to the bank. Bank said name changes could only be done where the accts were opened in BKK. Well, now we're hiding out upcountry and obviously can't go back. Had to open new accts, 1000 baht deposits, half of which was taken for the ATM card and "insurance". <deleted>, mates. Told the program to go to the new accts, they got texts that it's coming tomorrow.

Yes but thats their own fault mostly for not have updated name change when it happened probably long ago.

The problem with all these 'handouts' is the criteria and bureaucracy involved, so many fall through the cracks. You need a simple, non-criteria tested system to distribute money which people can rely upon.

This is a problem in Europe currently, with many half baked schemes which inevitably result in haves and have-nots. Spain has decided to implement a universal income scheme ASAP - because they realise that trying to tailor temporary schemes to cater for everyone is nearly impossible. Also the coming recession will mean that support will need to be ongoing for substantial numbers of people for some years. Hear's wishing them every success.

Here in the Republic of Ireland all those whose jobs have closed down for the Virus get 350 Euros a week ,while the closures last .The UK is giving 75% of salary .The US on the other hand gives a one off payment of $1000 .(not much use if this lasts months )

Please please you guys out there In 13 years of dealing with Immigration and the individual IMO's, Annual Retirement Extensions; Re-Entry Permits; 90 Day reporting; arriving at Subverhami;  I can say I have not had a single problem.  I do take time to try to get it right and if you do things properly you can almost guarantee

success at each arrival/visit.  Is it not just possible that the Bureau are earnestly trying to assist us during  the current crisis.  I feel sure the last thing on their on their minds is to financially punish us when thing get back to normal if they ever do.  Give them a chance guys.

Glad for you ,but this virus has shown their true nature .As always in Thailand >money number one <

I'm mostly against hereditary privilige, but there are circumstances where it can be very useful, especially where the recipient has a strong sense of duty. Wouldn't want to be her, value my freedom to be an <deleted> without the media jumping on it. Of course, it can be abused.

Hope its more interesting than her usual Christmas day ,sleep inducing message.

Thanks for the link.  If these stats are accurate Thailand is showing a completely different trend to the UK as far as the which gender group is being infected. In the UK (and I believe Europe in general) the male group account for 75% whereas female only 25% whereas the Thai figures seem to show a much more even spread.

Thai figures are not reliable to say the least.More so the Chinese .
