4 February this year I got my Thai license, NO reaction test, DLT Hang Dong office.

Same place 3 weeks ago i had to do it .As said depends on the day .

Loads of places in Pattaya have them .For cheap ones go to the big market off Pattaya Thai ,Tuesday and Friday i think ?

Also Jomtien Beach Condominium ,which would be a double unit of 56 sqm. Getting on in age but well managed with two huge pools ,gym ,restaurants and shops ,and just across the road from the beach .There is also the newish Park lane and Paradise Park Jomtien .Both small at 36 sqm ,but they do have a separate bedroom .

To clean a motorcycle yourself you really need a power spray to get all the nooks and crannies .You also need a space with electric power socket and water connection .A self service place i have yet to see and as the OP has not a suitable place at home his only option is the service places who do a good job for little money in my experience .

^Renewed my 5 year licence recently in Chiang mai .I live in Chiang Mai and showed my yellow house book .No health cert asked for .Also needed to bring my old licence plus Passport and photocopy .No photo required as they take it .

Never saw one .You have no time to get it washed but you have plenty of time to do it yourself .Seems strange .

Had a couple of hours of rain yesterday evening /night up here in Chiang Mai .Mostly light rain with no flooding but some storms and lightening .4 cattle killed by lightening in Lampang .

I often see them searching buses, usually ones coming from the border but occasionally on both sides of the road.

The wife always says that if you want to smuggle anything do it between 12 and 1pm when they stop for lunch.

I was wondering what the search was about on the way .(what could people smuggle into Myanmar ? ) ,but its more understandable on the return .( looking for Drugs ,and illegal people ).

Just a note on the Bus .I took the A class Green bus from Arcade to Maesai .Its not VIP but still comfortable enough .It makes some extra short stops to pick up mail etc ,and has no toilet on board .Its only B160 each way .Leaves Chiang Mai at 6 am ,returns from Maesai at 2 pm . (that was Saturday maybe different times weekday ?)

Went there by bus from Chiang Mai today .The bus was stopped twice between Chiang Rai and MaeSai in both directions .They were not interested in looking at my Passport (white 63 year old Farang ).They searched many peoples bags but again not mine .

Very quiet at the border and i was over and back in record time in order to get a new 3 month stamp .(have an M,O, Visa ) .

Woderful bar 2 in Pattaya ,2 nd road has or used to have a resident dog who chases away Hawkers who try to enter the bar .It was always fun to watch .

Powr is back on and the rain has stopped. Still, what a lovely evening....

Recently a friend had a quadruple heart bypass at the new Bangkok Hospital ,Chiang Mai .It cost B1,500,000 .

^You have to be alert,and book 5 minutes before the offer starts .

Pattaya Park, that's the place where little kids get sucked into the pool filters and die. No wonder they are so cheap in price to attend.

That was about 8 years ago .I am sure it has been fixed by now .Since then i have not heard of any other problems .

I believe all motorbike registrations now have to be done at the Provincial Land Transport Office (it's on Google Maps) in Nong Hoi near the Holiday Inn.

Bike registration has to be done there (Bike Transport office ) ,but if he is just renewing tax and insurance ,many garages with the yellow cog wheel symbol will do it for a few Baht.

A previous poster said its still B100 .I have only used the shorter slower slide to the extreme right and that was scary enough .I took my kids to The Cartoon Channel ,and Black Mountain Hua Hin ,but never again unless i win the Lotto .

Thay cartoon water park aint look so good is it? Anyone been there? I heard food inside is expensive too... its not look busy there at all...

My children loved it ,but they were not paying .For myself i would far rather spend the day at Pattaya Park ,knowing that my wallet is not being drained by the minute .Thai Ladys and kids eat 24/7 .At least with P.P you can bring in your own food and drink .

Living in Sansai ,10 km North East of the moat .Electric goes out for about an hour or so about once a month .Usually when there is a shower of rain .
