What reasons do you have?
For entertainment I prefer films, mostly classic but some modern.
I read mostly for information.

If you are reading for entertainment, then your points are valid.
For other reasons, then verbosity, complexity, and melodrama are minor distractions.

I tend to agree with you.
If an amnesty is in effect, your DL has not technically "expired" until the amnesty is lifted.
But hey, TIT, anything could happen.

Maybe because it is such an obvious solution to all their problems... unless they are being held here against their will - in jail for instance.
A prompt departure would be doing everybody a favor.
These pitiful misfits wouldn't be missed by anybody.

Wise words for sure.

This conviction is to scare the pee out of him.
Chances are he'll be out in less than a year conditional on 'good behaviour' during his time in the slammer and after his release.

Or maybe she’s canny enough to know the old Hollywood maxim “There is no such thing as bad publicity”.

It's not the light that they want, but the large amounts of money form interviews etc. Now that he is no longer a parasite living off the British tax-payers he needs to get another source of income. Spewing out BS is what Royals have been trained to do - but need to add controversy to make the press interested.
Love your post.
Concise and perceptive... especially the last line. Spot on.
That said, I take issue with the first point you make. "It's not the light they want,..."
Hogwash. I don't think they give a damn for bad publicity as long as it keeps them in the news.
As an American of largely British descent, and a life-long anglophile, I see this situation as a new low for British Royalty.

It may be a break with royal reserve but it is typical of Hollywood where no publicity is bad publicity.

When driving in the countryside it is often seen in burlap bags stacked on the roadside for sale.
Buying it direct from charcoal-burners has got to be the - oops! I almost said "...cheapest way to buy" forgetting that this is not a post about ssving money.
Good luck wherever you get it.

Papa swindles, Mama swindles,
Grandma's a lying thief.
We're all quite shameless...
yet we're blameless.
For you see, it's our belief,
that nowadays the world is rotten,
honesty has been forgotten.
Fall in love, but after kissing,
Check your purse to see what's missing.

you reckon selling online had nothing to do with it then?
No. Not when there is a chance to denigrate Thais as untrustworthy.
Their Country, their culture, and their character are fair game in all seasons.

These product are not for domestic consumption as the politicians and 'lawmakers' are loathe to allow the Thai public easy access to even CBD without any THC content. Yeah. Anutin talks a good sales pitch, but talk is just wind.
Anutin has been behind the push for decriminalisation/legalization of medicinal cannabis since the get-go several years ago.
He needs to be encouraged, not denigrated.
Maybe you're still sore because he once called us "dirty farangs".
Get over it.
For the good work he is doing, all should be forgiven.

The Thai legal system is a minefield strewn with banana-peels for the unwary.
The amount of money you could expect to recover wouldn't be worth the hassle.
So true.
If the opposing side's lawyers don't succeed in stiffing you, your own will.

This could be the dawning of a whole new era in Thai family law as it relates to divorce cases.
It might prove to be a real bonanza for the legal profession here as it is in the US where the shysters are enthusiastic not so much about gay marriage as they are about gay divorce.

Yes, get back to Thailand.
Step up to the plate and there's a good chance you might hit a homer.
In Farangland, chances not so good.

You're so right, Thailand works in different ways from the west.
The ways with which we usually use to solve problems don't always work here.
