  1. Totally agree with MaeJom

You also state ghetto washing machine ONLY cold water,

Thailand does not have hot water machines, because water heating is done by the heater not a central system.

May be exists somewhere i am yet to see it after 15 years.

Washer/dryer cost a fortune, really not sure why you believed they would give you new one and reduce the rent.

As you have nothing in writing, and have no evidence to support any of your claims or experience, i am sorry to say your money is gone.

They could get even more nasty if they wanted too and claim you stole the table and whatever else they can think of.

Sorry but not much you can do and i doubt anyone can help, mainly because no evidence at all

We have a hot water washing machine in our condo, from Samsung. They do exist in Thailand.

  2. My girlfriend has this as well sometimes, albeit we still talk a little, but I feel she's in a bad mood. Mostly it happens before her period.

So I don't blame her and just wait until it is over. I also treat her extra nicely in this time, because I believe it's really just the hormons.

Sometimes I feel a bit hurt, but I can handle this.

I would also recommend you do have a slow approach, but to talk about it regularly. That will make her realise it is a problem and she will try to do something about it, if she also cares for you. But don't expect too much. Nobody can drastically change his own personaltiy.

  3. The younger Chinese already do. I have some good Chinese friends, that would never go on a group tour.

I suspect that over time the Chinese tourists will become more sophisticated.

Back in the 60s people in British would go on package tours bought from a tour operator. This meant a limited range of hotels with restaurants serving food to British tastes and with customers who were mostly British. Now people are more likely to book a flight and hotel through the Internet and (if they want to) they can go to less tourist-y places. The Chinese will, in time, follow a similar progression.

  4. Perhaps they should focus more on the teenage punks that all but remove their exhaust pipe so they can zoom around the place with zero torque but full noise.

100% agree with this, the noise pollution in Pattaya is reaching intolerable levels and it is nothing to do with large bikes, it is Thai's and their incessant need to make noise - totally removing anything that resembles an exhaust and blasting out a sound that closely resembles a very loud long fart - how they think it is cool is beyond me

Every teenager or young adult thinks it is cool. I see no difference between Swiss (where I'm from) and Thai teenagers. Just that in Switzerland, the police will stop them sooner or later and then the fun is over. :-)

  5. Pro Language is just 30 days now.

I'm very disappointed of that school, as they made a serious impression, when I booked the course there, but somehow they screwed up since then. We also have a very good teacher in class and I attended regularly,

And now if you're registered with that school you get 30 days, even if you can read and write like I can.

  6. what a load, no wonder the US has become a crappy country when it does garbage like this. Giving yl and her corrupt crew somewhere to whinge and bitch after being caught with their fingers in the cookie jar is a joke, Thailand should tell them to take a hike and make it harder for the US to do business here pulling stunts like this. Have to wonder if a lone figure in a far off country has been making political donations to someone, definitely not how a world class country should be acting, sucking up to these dodgy ex ministers but then you cant help stupid

After reading this statement I'm just glad, that you are not the leader of any country.

  7. The GPS can only be as good as the map data it gets. And the source for all these maps is the country you're driving in.

If it tells you to turn right, but there was nothing there, it was probably planned - and map data updated - but never executed to have a road there. Even happens in good old Europe. :-)

And I hope, that the results are not the same, because the companies use different algorithms. Otherwise it would mean they just steal the software from each other. Good to have competiion among these companies.
