  1. Who said it was just chicken? From the OP link to full article “At a mall, in Bangkok’s Sai Mai district, many shelves are empty, lacking items such as instant noodles, canned fish, snacks, boxed milk and meat. At a convenience store, in Bang Khen district, sausages and other ready-made food, including sweets, are at a low volume as well.”
  2. As I said, all depends on where you are positioned regarding food and other essentials.
  3. Stocking up or hoarding: all depends on the perspective of the person who may be staring at empty shelves or a full pantry.
  4. So those who stocked up in advance ( ie began hoarding) may now be patting themselves on the back…
  5. If people want to find reef friendly sunscreens they can do so, quite easily. Whether they choose to do so or not is beyond my control.
  6. Nope. From the start all I have said is that not all sunscreens contain reef damaging chemicals. It is not too difficult to find which ones are reef friendly. Something you appear to have difficulty with.
  7. Just showing you that within the thread there is an article that said selected sunscreens were banned. The reason being, you asked where it says only some sunscreens are banned…
  8. No. What it shows is I haven’t commented on enforcement and have no intention of doing as that is not the point I was making. . The two issues are separate. I’m sorry you find that difficult to process.
  9. One poster putting the blame on the woman for what happened because she travelled alone and now another trying to say it would have been my fault because of advice I may give. Strange fellows gathering on this thread.
  10. So your view is women shouldn’t travel alone…perhaps you’d also like to see the introduction of guardianship laws and the outlawing of women travelling without the consent of their husbands or family
  11. The follow up news article on page 2 mentions this
  12. I never mentioned or discussed enforcement, just that the reality is that it is possible to find reef friendly sunscreens. It isn’t difficult, a simple google search is all that is required.
  13. All one needs do is their research, prepare in advance and not just buy the first product they see on the shelves. It might be time consuming and mean waiting if things have to be ordered but it’s better than, even in the smallest way, contributing to the destruction of the coral reefs.
  14. Possibly but at the time he made the announcement he was getting Pfizer jabs, I commented then he wouldn’t and did do for the reasons he himself has stated here.
  15. Ah, that was a good read, made me laugh out loud several times. Thanks TAT News department
  16. I know the dangers facing the planet due to human activity and the all too real dangers of human caused climate change. Tourists are part of the problem but by no means the only one. It is not too difficult to research which sunscreens are reef safe.
