I've had the same thing from several banks, seems to be largely a box-checking thing. TIN is Tax Identification Number. If you're living in Thailand, just go to your local tax office and get a Thai tax number and then you can give that to the bank, worked for me.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a new motor put in a ceiling fan? We have several that don't work and we could buy new but it seems an awful waste to throw out the rest of it. Next question would be where to get them fixed? We live in Samui. Thanks in advance

We have bank accounts with sufficient funds in. Currently here on getting 30 days visa-free on arrival which expires October 25.

My question was really that as Samui office refused, what other options are best and what documents do they need (as each office seems to go by its own rules) - thanks

We have returned to live here and as we had Non-IMM O's based on retirement with annual extensions before, we thought that was the way to go. If there is an alternative, we can look at it, thanks.

We were just refused conversion from 30 days on arrival to Non-IMM O at Samui Immigration Office. We used to live here until 2019, left for family reasons and have just come back. We thought we could convert to Non-IMM O here and thereafter do annual extensions as before but Samui Immmigration point-blank refused and said Non-IMM O can only be done at an embassy. Does anyone have a suggestion? if we have to leave the country again, does anyone have any experience of getting Non-IMM O in a neighbouring country and if so, which country might be best, and what documents do they require?
