  1. Investigation committee results to be examined by another committee - again. I get the feeling 95% of the Thai government just sit on and travel to committees all day.
  2. if you knock off say 500-1000 baht for a room these people are supposedly calculated at spending near 7500-8000 baht a day, I simply don't believe it during a semi lockdown
  3. Me thinks some of her male friends will be too busy with her in the near future to worry about him !
  4. Smashing windscreens and pushing people off motorbikes is NOT maintaining law and order
  5. There corrected - An officer looks through the prison zoo bars to where people who test positive for COVID-19 only by a rapid antigen test but not exhibiting any signs of infection are to be detained.
  6. The videos posted on my fb of the police violently pushing people off passing motorbikes and breaking car windshields with batons of people sat peacefully I would say is NOT maintaining public order in any way - just mindless violence by thugs dressed in uniforms.
  7. At that rate , they'll be looking at another 12-18 months for the full vaccine roll out. Not good for the people or the economy.
  8. Could just as well be a mid- afternoon Thai soap opera story line.
  9. The writer of this story has a very different opinion of the word 'apartment' to me. Looks like squalid room and loo that you could not even sit on properly to me as it's too near the wall !
  10. You already said you have no friends in the City and live in the other room. Condos to rent are cheap now. Better on your own than in a loveless marriage. My first Thai wife was a little like your lady - I was really sick once, and she treated my sickness like helping a asset rather than a husband. I divorced her, married a school teacher from Nan that is the complete opposite and very happy now for six years. Get out, start again - not exactly a shortage of women in Thailand
  11. The only way that Thailand will hit the 'worst case' scenario, will be if thailand opens up fully on January 1st, with no hoops and no demands. Q1 -1 million, Q2- 2 million, Q3-3 million, Q4- 4 million. The Chinese will not be coming for the new year, I think 3 million Westerners and Russians may come without hoops 1st half of the year, but many tourists will be slow out of the tourism starting blocks, fearing another lockdown. With continuing hoops they need to start looking at a 'Worst, worst case' scenario of 2-5 million max
  12. If they are predicting 45,000 infections found per day, then if they dont count home tests, and pcr numbers reducing, near 100% of tests will be positive !
  13. Probably coincide with the declaration of freedom from prosecution of the PM and his allies for ALL the covid mess
  14. Wife tells me that the school my 5 year old is supposed to be attending are trying to sort our vaccines for students parents - might be the only way the school can open I guess !
  15. Be fair, what else can he spout off about ? Can't exactly spout off about vaccine successful roll out , so he makes a noise about ordering !
  16. I seriously dread what the price of an already expensive Burger King meal in departures will rise to to cover the lost passing tourist revenue.
  17. No, they were testing the people who felt well enough to turn up and thought they did not have it - the ones that probably know they have it and were sick were at home !
