Not making any conclusions, but where does Sean McAnna fit in all of this? Is anything he said true? If not, why did he do that? 15 minutes of fame seems a long shot, but stranger things have happened.
Good question. Nobody is here to accuse him of anything, but ask him to tell the whole world the truth, the real truth . Everybody wants to hear his story what happened that night. People believe he must know something. But until now no statement from Sean has been made.
If he played a role in the gang rape and/or murder, then I doubt he is going to say anything.
Yes. but not to saying anything will make him look like guilty .

My understanding was that they were going to send samples of the semen to Singapore to do the racial profiling which presumably they are unable to do. There was never any confirmation that it went to Singapore but some one came up with the result that both semen samples were from Asian males which brought the investigation of Farang suspects to a dead end. There was never any suggestion that Singapore would be asked to do the DNA matching and Khunying Pornthip has stated that Thailand has the capability to do all the DNA testing without help from the FBI or other outsiders.
Regarding the DNA testing, it was done in Singapore.Prove it by sending the DNA outside of Thailand for independent testing. All other evidence can be planted or otherwise interfered with, while confessions can be easily extracted.

But wasn't David's phone found at the scene of the crime originally?
There is something that could be a phone in one of the photos but the resolution is too low to blow it enough to see exactly what it is.
a phone was found early in the investigation...no clue who it belongs to
This phone is identical to the phone in the news coverage of them recovering the phone from the bushes. A black smart phone with a grey metallic edge. I wish I had the link now it is burried back in the threads. I think it was a channel 7 clip it was all in Thai.

I want to hear from Sean McAnna,
it may be that he fingered the guys arrested and that is why he was threatened
Sean also said he was among a group of people playing guitar on the beach near the scene. He must have seen or heard, and known, the other Guitar players on the Beach. I guess not many Guitar players where on this beach during the Night. The police where looking for the Guitar players from the beginning.

You have no leg to stand on in this particular case. There is a CCTV footage confirming that the suspect purchased LM cigarettes. If they were really involved, then terrific they have been apprehended. But, unless the British (or anyone but the Thais) carry out and confirm the DNA samples really match, I am not convinced...... Also, I know allot of Burmese and Thai people. They DO NOT smoke LM cigarettes as a rule...... They are 66 baht a packet, this is 1/3rd of a days pay for the average Burmese person...... They smoke far cheaper brands usually
Unless a well off thai gave him the money to buy them. A thai that was down on the beach maybe.
or a foreigner

I read in the BP that the cigarettes are LM brand. Rather unlikely, yet not impossible, to be smoked by poor people.
Well that brand doesn't exist in the UK. So unlikely to have been bought by British tourist.
LM brand is a firm favourite with the Scandis
Poor people WILL buy more expensive cigarettes when they go to a party , especially when westerners are there . Doesn't look nice with a 5 baht tobacco bag in their hands right ? But usually its Krong Thip not LM . LM ( pH. Morris, Phillipine ) cigarettes are little more expensive and not everywhere available. Foreigners who stay in Thailand for a long time are more likely to smoke it. This is my personal experience and not a statistic.

...when I read the story about the "blood-stained hoe" I kept thinking that that would not be a weapon of choice for a Thai, Myanmar or otherwise Asian killer. They are usually not strong enough to handle such a weapon.
This is exactly the way Thai - Isaan people kill pigs and cows . I 've seen this many times here where i live .
