  1. A senile dupe who has facilitated the 21st century's first major attempt at genocide and ethnic cleansing. History will paint him black.
  2. Thaksin is slippery as an eel. Whatever legal restraints he may be facing he will find a way to go around, under, or over them.
  3. How much was it insured for and who were the beneficiaries? In other words cui bono ? Just an accident maybe, but growing up in and around NYC we're familiar with a certain kind of lightning, the full name of which is unmentionable in our enlightened times.
  4. Without the black hair dye what would he be.. Graying at the temples? Salt and pepper? All gray? Snow white?
  5. It is not. Russia and China are joined-at-the-hip in much the same way as the siamese triplets US, UK, and Israel are.
  6. Ridiculous, ragtag looking tribal fighters - just like the ones that inflicted humiliating defeats on US forces in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. They're dressed for success.
  7. Cut your losses, let it go. The Thai legal system is a minefield strewn with banana peels for any farang who is foolish enough to get into it.
  8. Indeed. Stay alert at all times or get whacked with the mother of all keisaku's.
  9. Bravo! Keep up the massive protests until the pro-Israel/pro-genocide factions are marginalized everywhere.
  10. Singling out this place as polluted is ridiculous - and under Thai civil law, defamatory. It is no more or less unhygenic than any other eatery located on a busy throughfare anywhere else in Chiang Mai. You would be well advised to understand that truth and falsehood are not the issues in defamation and liable cases here in Thailand. It is the "intent to defame". Guten appetit!
  11. That's true, but it is also very near the Gymkhana golf course... one of Chiang Mai's few remaining "green lungs". Close to where we live.
  12. Monkey pox? We thought the name had been changed to "M-pox" or something like that to avoid offending the monkeys.
  13. That's certainly true of our experience with them. They last for years of daily use and the reset buttons are always on the outside.
  14. Well, that's Socialism for you. The turkeys never vote for Thanksgiving.
