I really enjoyed civet coffee when I tried it actually, but it is really rather expensive. I don't think it is from monkeys, either, but I am no expert! I will give Tetley a try, but I prefer loose leaf teas in general! thanks

I am in desperate need, my tea and coffee rations are nearly depleted. I haven't really found any nice local teas, but have had plenty of good ones gifted on occasion from Chiang Rai. Does anybody have a good source, preferrably on Lazada, but anywhere I can order online?
Cheers

my landlord graciously told me she would NOT increase my rent, but no discount.

I know it is bloody hot recently and that accounts for an increase, but my electricity bills have been about as follows: 1300 Jan, 1500 (avg) in February, 3800 (March), and 5000 in April. I am using about an average of one a/c 24/7 at 26-28 degrees and use a computer and sometimes a TV but I can't account for such a dramatic increase. Has anyone else experienced this? I fear a 10,000 baht bill next month!

I am growing just a bit of vegetables along the side of my house where it meets the neighbors, with a nice partition for things to grab onto. I am trying to grow some green beans and eggplant in the area. What can I do to makeshift a trellis/net for them? I don't see any of these to purchase, and even checked a couple of garden/lawn stores and they didn't seem to understand. I suppose all I really need are some bamboo sticks leaning against a wall and maybe some netting to give them the initial 'handholds'? What do you find success with as far as trellis?

Why people are still drinking when there is now so good legal cannabis oil available in Thailand ?
what? is it possible for us foreigners to get that?

t-shirt folded over face is likely to work better than that mask. the ones with paper towels are actually pretty effective, cloth with filter inserts work well also.

they will say this next year, too

I am new to growing anything and would like to grow a little bit of produce on my rental. The land isn't great, and seems like hard clay, and I am wondering what would grow easily in small patches of land here, something that can work in the sunny areas, and something in a shaded area?

anyone have luck with butternut squash, carrots, or exotic peppers (haberno, jalapeno)

I have extended my visa almost a month ago normally, and would like to know about the 'automatic extension', do I need to do anything for this, or just 'overstay' and wait for instructions?

thank you for the info guys!~ I am in Chiang Mai for what it is worht, but I think I found what I am looking for on that Verasu site. Fun hobby to do while stuck at home, plus having the veggies etc on hand might save some trips ????

never canned before, but I would like to start and think its a good idea! Where can you get quality canning jars and lids here? I see a lot of plastic stuff from China on lazada but I would rather find something higher quality/longer lasting. If anyone has a source I would pappreciate it! ????

I changed my phone numbers and forgot to change my sim number, are banks still open to do a sim swap so I can do online banking? If not, where can I go to pay for 3bb?

crisis will bring out the best and worst in people. A cheap, simple act, but it went a long way towards helping others, and I am sure they will never forget the gesture, regardless of how small it may seem.

until each of the thousands of people in immigration start to get sick, then there will literally be 'dirty foreigners' spreading the virus everywhere, just like they want.

looks like they want foreigners to spread the virus, maybe they need scapegoats to have a reason to kick us all out of the country for good, finally. I am a high risk person for covid, and I guarantee there will be scores of infections each day from this , reported or not, so visiting to take a photo and pay 1900 baht may end up costing me my life. I have to weigh this against overstaying and being seperated from my family!

worried about paying my 900 baht bill for 30 kbps download speeds from 3bb, would not be fun to be without internet at these times!

'but it is not airborne!' despite staying in the air for 3 hours and traveling 8 meters

now I know why the Chinese 'tourists' were leaving with pallets and pallets of 3m masks in January

good. Masks are extremely helpful in preventing the outbreak, those who are putting others at risk should stay home.

most of the expat community in Pattaya is made up of former Navy Seals, Mi6 etc, hence no outbreak

Quality local tea/coffee beans?

I quite like these teas, but finding a good, reputable seller with decent shipping is very hard.
