Yunnan Province, more or less next door to Thailand in China, has two kinds of good blackish tea Puerh Er and Dian Hong. (for PuEr you want Shu/Shou Cha, which has fermented more than Sheng Cha.

Idk if Lazada (etc) has it, but in case it's listed in Chinese:

Puerh Er Shou Cha -  普洱熟茶

    Dian Hong Cha - 滇红茶

(Puerh Er Sheng Cha -  普洱生茶, kind of 'light' black tea a bit like Oolong worth trying for comparison)

There are a couple of lesser-known black teas from other parts of China that're good. (And several that seem to be terrible, like Inner Mongolian tea bricks!)

I quite like these teas, but finding a good, reputable seller with decent shipping is very hard.

  2. I am in desperate need, my tea and coffee rations are nearly depleted. I haven't really found any nice local teas, but have had plenty of good ones gifted on occasion from Chiang Rai. Does anybody have a good source, preferrably on Lazada, but anywhere I can order online?

    Cheers

  3. I know it is bloody hot recently and that accounts for an increase, but my electricity bills have been about as follows: 1300 Jan, 1500 (avg) in February, 3800 (March), and 5000 in April. I am using about an average of one a/c 24/7 at 26-28 degrees and use a computer and sometimes a TV but I can't account for such a dramatic increase. Has anyone else experienced this? I fear a 10,000 baht bill next month!

  4. I am growing just a bit of vegetables along the side of my house where it meets the neighbors, with a nice partition for things to grab onto. I am trying to grow some green beans and eggplant in the area. What can I do to makeshift a trellis/net for them? I don't see any of these to purchase, and even checked a couple of garden/lawn stores and they didn't seem to understand. I suppose all I really need are some bamboo sticks leaning against a wall and maybe some netting to give them the initial 'handholds'?  What do you find success with as far as trellis?

  5. never canned before, but I would like to start and think its a good idea! Where can you get quality canning jars and lids here? I see a lot of plastic stuff from China on lazada but I would rather find something higher quality/longer lasting. If anyone has a source I would pappreciate it! ????
