I Don't pretend to know a lot about this issue, but...
Immigration Office A: perhaps they were trying to help you by stating you could get a new B visa, but if you went back to their office.
Immigration Office B: mu understanding is you are required to leave the country to obtain a new B visa so they offered what they could.
There is a visa company that advertises on this site that may be able to help.
Good luck, but perhaps with the re-opening of certain provinces happening with lockdowns being somewhat lifted, there may be chance in the next month or two.
Perhaps not helpful right now.

And will that be for free?
She is a University student by the reads of things, so she is probably on some sort of grant, or other social assistance program. As such she will be able to afford to stay in Thailand for quite some time. As most are not paid out in one lump sum, this could explain why she does not have the money immediately.
Ah, to be a young, dumb, and full of c*m travelling student.

Same with our shop. I have a group of Thai's that come by everyday to say hello, buy a drink or snack and practice some English. Kids love to chat.
It is a very social, and profitable, venture.

It never is. I find if you work hard to earn ones wealth, it is not spent haphazardly.
Whereas people like big joe here have large spending habits. Odds are he has quite a few girlfriends, booze, drugs, nite-life, etc.

Live near Nong khai, and some people are dreading the re-opening of the friendship bridge.
Once it opens the massive flood of Laos citizens will be very scary. They will flood Macro, Tesco, Mega Home, and many if the seafood shops.
Good for the local economy but scary for the regular person. If you have ever seen them shop at Macro you will know "social distancing" is NOT their thing.

Money lenders tend to not draw attention to themselves in this manner. Everybody knows who they are, but this would bring unwanted attention.

By all appearances, we are on the downward swing of things. Kind of like the breaking of a fever, no pun intended.
Suspect things to slowly look better over the next three weeks. Seems as though the government has weathered the storm.

Oh my. People around my neck of the woods are just looking for some clear directions. I don't think they are looking to place blame, they just need a clear message. This sitting around waiting for something to happen seems to be stressing people out more.
Telling the truth would help. Give accurate timelines. If they are thinking lockdown then just get on with it.
Comments like..things will get better. More vaccines coming...lockdown measures may be extended.
Make a decision and live, or die, with it. Regardless of outcome the current leadership will maintain control so other than suppressing dissenters not sure what all the dilly-dallying is all about.

Learned NOTHING from his Songkran debacle let alone giving free transport to the great unwashed to spread the contamination thru the Provinces.
SORRY:- Maybe a trip to Japan and learn what to do with a Samurai Sword would show real remorse.
Politicians no longer fall on their swords. They wield them at the people now.

Not sure if you have ever planted rice here? We are covered from head to toe with scarves, shirts, long pants, head gear, footwear, gloves etc. We each work our rows and unless during break or eating are rarely in "contact" with another person. We are well aware of the transmission of the virus so have taken steps to avoid eating or breaking together. Bundles are dispersed by separate individuals etc. Not much chance of anyone passing on the virus, with our group anyways.

As someone stuck outside of Thailand for 16 months away from the family, I would support this, even though it would mean more time away.
BUT.
The issue is unless their vaccine program is completely finished by 3 months - and a non chinese vaccine used - then it will just explode again on opening and my time away extended further.
Tell me I could plan to start coming back without hoops in exactly 6 months and I'd be not exactly happy, but OK.
Bit off the topic, but how is it your stuck?
I was in Canada, and apart from a few minor pieces of paper work the return process was quite easy. This was last July mind you, but still no major issues.

My son was working at a car care place, but he has not had any hours in about a month due to covid. Business is slow.
He applied at Makro, Tesco and a few others but was not 18 at the time.
In general he is a lazy <deleted> so not surprised he has not found a proper job.

The Government just wont let them report over the magic 10,000 number.
I am sure everybody knows it is there, but showing it publicly in print would be damaging.

Interesting? Never thought of trying the white staff! Not into the sauce either. Wife spits it out.
Our staff are all brown though.

seriously ?.... saving what exactly.. I can tell you are doing the exact opposite... never heard about the Hong Kong Flu... Have a look, in 69... it ended in 3 months... 1 million death in 3 months in the world... no lockdown... and it disappeared forever... have a look for yourself... I am not lying...
You really need to do some research before you post. I realize people such as yourselves feel better when you rile up others.
However facts always prove many conspiracy theorists wrong.
I was alive during this period. It did affect and kill many people. It returned a year later and killed more people. AND it is still present today in the form of influenza.
History will be unable to show how many millions of people may still be alive today if they had been issued masks and quarantined.
But your point is taken. Dead people don't count, nor can they express their opinion. Most, I think, would prefer to have been in a lock down versus being dead. I am not 100% sure of this, just my guess.

....and just in addition my daughter has loved spending more time with her Papa.
It has been a very long time since i have played dollies with my children.
We have also started our own at home youtube channel.
I honestly can not remember a time i have laughed so hard with my children.

Nobody is killing any civilization, in fact, most people are trying to do the exact opposite.

It helps against covid too no longer having to wait in line yourself.
The drivers around my area are crazy. Weaving in and out of traffic, running red lights, cutting across lanes of traffic.
I like the service but i am concerned about the road safety aspect of it.

Take a look at Canada. The province of Alberta had the lowest restrictions in place out of all the provinces and now has the highest infection rate per 100,000 people out of Canada and the US. Yet there are still those who say these lock downs don't help.
ICU space is at capacity and although they have not started their Triage assesment program yet, medical personnel are stating the next two weeks are critical in bringing the number of admitted into hospital down. Ontario is very close as well. By this, the medical teams determine who receives full treatment based on long term survival rate. Ontario is flying people from ICU units in hard hit areas to other regions of the province. Many healthcare workers are burnt out. I predict that after we get a grip on this thing there will be a massive reduction in healthcare workers as many will go on long term sick leave, leave the profession, or just unable to work. My niece has been working in an ER unit in British Columbia pretty much non stop for the past 15 months. She has stopped answering her phone and just sleeps on her one day off(every 18 days).
Thailand began this whole mess with strict measures and was doing a good job. The economy suffered, people (mostly those entrusted with running the country) started seeing less money, and now it appears that imposing those strict measures again is not possible. Why? I believe the people in charge do not want to pay out any more money to the people. Or there is no money left.
I truly hope the worst is past but seeing places like Canada and India struggling I am not so sure.
Talking with family and friends in Calgary it is a bit frightening to hear that it is now rare for people not to personally know of, or experienced themselves, someone who has covid19.
6 months ago people only heard about cases via news reports.
Stay safe everyone

Investigation into killer cop case can conclude within September – police

You would think that with this high profile of a case, statements would come from high up. Unless, something should happen that exonorates the guilty party, then the Pol. Col. shall be falling on the sword as they say.
