  1. Both are good brands. Square D is US made and Schnider is German. They should last longer than the other stuff. A whole house surge protector can be installed like a breaker. Will have to be grounded good though. Sourcing one in Thailand may be fun. Could try Lazada, or Amazon and ship here.
  2. Forgot to mention the lack of grounds(or earths if you are Brit). Had to rewire whole house. When I moved in the whole thing was under a 66 amp breaker. Bought a Square D panel and 3 wire cables. Homehub or Thaiwatsadu good for everything but wire nuts. Had to go to HomePro to get them. Good luck.
  3. Along the lines of clean crisp notes , they are getting hard to find in the US. Used to order $10k at Wells Fargo and stacks would be there in a couple of days, new, unused, consecutive numbers. In February asked for the same. Neither Wells Fargo or BOA had. Haven’t had for a year to order. One banker told me this happened before right before a bill redesign.
  4. DJ. Beg to differ. The blue light special was K Mart (now out of business). Not Wally-world. Am guessing those of you not from US will no get the last two post. Yes I know it’s no help to the OP
  5. Theres a place about 3 blocks past the Tung Si Muang city park. On the left side. Used to be the old Fox Taylor’s back in the GI days. Does nothing but custom drapes and curtains now. Custom = $$$.
  6. Here is the thing. Change Thai Lady to, American Lady, Brit Lady, French Lady, makes not difference. The guy is a moron for any nationality. People believe social media way too much. I can say I am a banana on Facebook and someone will believe it. As for my “Thai Lady” we have been married for 47 years.
  7. Agree Ubonrak is a good private hospital but can be pricey if admitted. Wife stayed there one night ( yes in a VIP room). Bill was 31,000 baht. Would check into things before moving.
  8. “No Longer”. Does that say anything?
  9. Imagine that! But like most stats in Thailand probably grossly undercounted.
