Rule of thumb if your only renting from Thai owners they can do EXACTLY what they like ie push your rent up or chuck you out within a couple of weeks notice, all you can do then is take your fixtures & fittings and get on yer bike!!

Never been stopped in Bkk in 12 yrs but have heard of the usual scams, ie tuk tuk driver asks you if you Wana buy ganja? He pulls it out gives it to you then says pay me when we reach your destination, meanwhile he calls a police friend who meets you and the tuk tuk down a Soi and your then faced with the choice to pay up and go the ATM or get nicked and banged up!! If living or staying in Bkk and traveling around by taxi or motorbike etc. take a photo copy of your passport and the relevant visa, but leave your passport locked away at home or the hotel

We got married in Bkk all legal but she's not interested in divorce, a Thai did tell me I should wait 2 yrs and it would get annulled but I'm not sure about that!!?? Thx guys will check the marriage & divorce site

Can anyone tell me do you have to legally divorce your Thai wife in Thailand because that's where we married or can I get it annulled after 2 yrs of separation? BTW she is not interested in divorce
