And by that I'm not talking about brexit one way or the other, but the huge upsurge in the poor, sick and disabled being thrown out on the streets to die, by this government that they've just voted for.

Phew! This has nothing to do with the UK so why bring the UK into this topic? Are you just another twisted, nasty looser? We had 2 victories Bojo and Brexit, the country spoke. The UK voting system has its flaws but the counting is carried out under strict guide lines and not hidden behind closed doors with military presence. If you believe any result in Thailand for the military government you need to see a head doctor. Come on essan voting for the military.... Really...
I didn't say I believed the result, it was a comment about people voting against their own interests, yes it may well have been fiddled but there are still too many people voting for the militry all over Thailand including Isaan...

Now here's a thought that I haven't seen mentioned, Most Thai wives sleep with their children in the same bed up until a quite late age by western standards yes?...
So I should imagine that this makes a lot of Thai men pretty fustrated as they can't have sex with their wives
at night because of children in the bed... Now one solution to this, if you can afford one is to have a Mia noi...

Boat collision kills one and injures ten in Phang-nga
One foreign tourist died and ten others were injured in a collision between a speed boat and a yacht in the Andaman Sea off Thailand’s southern province of Phang-nga on Wednesday.
One speed boat crew member, identified only as “Boy”, went missing and a search is under way by the Navy as well as marine and tourist police and volunteers from the Kusolatham foundation.
Police have not disclosed the identity of the deceased victim, who was pronounced dead at the provincial hospital, but they said that the boat passengers were from India, Iran and Israel, and that the relevant embassies have been notified.

-- © Copyright Thai PBS 2019-12-19Well, when I used to mess about on the water, the big one would have been called a cabin crusier/gin palace, and the smaller one a motor boat neither of them either speed boats or yachts, I always thought a yacht by definition was mainly powered by sails, & a speed boat was a quite small, fast boat with big outboard engine/s...
But then I'm a Brit, maybe the definition is different in American dictionaries...

Must have hit the yacht hard to cause that damage, good luck to the yacht owner trying to get them to pay for the, what must be extensive damage to their yacht...

How about weak economy, ridiculously low pound, large number of people on ZHCs (no sick leave or annual leave) counting as employed, and trade unions so weakened by legislation that they can't fight for better terms and conditions. Just what the current US government would like.
Don't forget food banks, the disabled, sick, old and unemployed dieing on the streets as their basic survival money is stripped from them for pathetic reasons, oh and lets not forget one of the lowest state pensions in the developed world...

I think the UK still has a choice but given who is going to be the new government, being a vassel state to the US is a certainty with the UK gov. members lining their pockets all the way...

All very well Richard but you forget the greatest risk to all those motorcyclists, lunatics in cars, minibuses and trucks. these cause most of the accidents but get left out of the statistics as they're protected inside their steel cage, unlike the, mostly poor motocycle riders...

Jacob Rees Mogg 2:1 Oxford. Self confessed hanger on but rich.

Donald Trump Unclassifed Wharton School. Liar. Showman. Very poor businessman. Very popular with people who like liars, showmen and racists.
One of the greatest dullards I ever worked with had a PhD in chemistry from a very good university. Similarly, I worked with a man who got a scholarship to Harvard and although achieving a very ordinary qualification, told the world how fantastic he was. Well, he was, as an office manager.
Of course, there will be cause and effect but, finally, the best management accountant I ever knew had no qualifications to his name at all. Not one!
True, We used to call them educated idiots. People with good acedemic qualifacations but no common sense or people skills...
I used to be in the building game and there are a very high number of architiects and surveyors who fit this discription perfectly...

Both I'd say, but mostly the system which tells them not to ask questions or criticise & doesn't grade them on ability, designed to keep them stupid...
