They need a reward posted and need to make an example out of the murderers when caught! And i hope they nab them soon.

My wife is Thai and never has had food poisoning her entire life here, except twice ,both on, Pi Pi don! I took her in a luggage cart down the dirt road to the hospital like the American man did, and after 2 bags of saline to combat her dehydration we got the heck out. Someone needs to investigate the island and especially the pesticides that the hotels and homestays liberally use. We were there 1 year after the tsunami and fresh water had raw sewage mixed in and the drinking water was shipped in. Salt water to bathe in. The autopsy should show exactly what the poison it was as traces are found in many body parts. The investigators should check for any familiar names of people associated with the other mysterious farang deaths and really be Detectives. Us expats need good networking to share info and knowledge now more than ever!!

Anyone finding this offensive against China is pro-China as they don't share any useful information with the world's scientific community, and China is only interested in securing food and resources from as many countries as it possibly can to expand it's swollen masses. Do you think China wants to cooperate with the studies and awareness of the global warming problem, NO. as they are the #1 source of pollution. If USA does virtually nothing for the environs, how can we expect self serving China to anything ?? China already has all the satellites and data of Asia mappings, not gonna help anyone but their military goals!!!

I can't wait until petroleum products are obsolete and Thailand with its enterprising people and self reliant energy in place shows the world how to be happy. It's a shame material luxury items cause problems in the modern world still...!

The primitive side of humanity is glorified in the movies etc. and we are all exposed to so many violent occurrences growing up, that each generation seems to get more radical. higher densities of urban people creates dog eat dog environs. And this is happening all around the world. The old skool dealt with severe crimes with equally severe punishment, but now the number of bad people and laws and money that protect them are counter to justice. Teach your children well, is more important now than ever.

Thailand gets all the sexually sick people visiting from all over the world, Pedophiles are the most dangerous and loathsome. Why with the internet now, can't a data base be set up with all these criminals(convicts) names and country origin set up a red flag upon arrival in Thailand,even pedophiles from the Phillipines come to Thailand regularly as predators. We could set up an Interpol of Mom's and Dad's to post these scums faces around schools and malls, better still, maybe the Thai court system will give a severe sentence to those fairly convicted !!. A slap on the wrist approach has ruined my EX-country. Then those who knowingly come to commit crimes here will stay away.

At least here in Thailand the violence usually has motive , be it jealousy,money,pride etc. In USA we have many acts of random violence just to be a murderer or thug and nothing else, and if you think it's bad here, go to some of the other first world countries that give a slap on the wrist justice and you could become a victim too. I remember the day's when the foreigner(farangs) were the victims and not the perpetrators of crimes. Foreign crooks from everywhere are gathering like cockroaches here now and wonder why crime is rising here?

The awareness is a good start, it still is going to take consumers to buy green products and demand true air/water pollution standards for their neighborhoods! When money stops dominating the bottom line of business and leaders get some long term thinking strategies, the status quo will have to change.(sure).. What we really need is invention and innovation from our new technologies and the many geniuses that have always been the cutting edge in improving our lives. We are all in deep trouble and every nation knows it..

Without controlling labor unions and welfare deadbeats and non industrial food industries, growth is encouraged. People are not harmed as much from natural weather extremes, and everybody loves Thai food!
