    Used to be the case that you had to renew your first 1 year license AFTER it expired since to get a 5 year license since you had to have had a license for at least 1 year.

    Might have changed now?

    You are correct. Not the day before, not on the date it expires but AFTER it expires. Five year license can be renewed 3 months before expiration date.

    Clarification . A 5 year license can be renewed up to 3 months before expiration.

    I am confused as to the timing of my renewal from TEMP to % YEARS.

    David says that he renewed his TEMP - 3 months before the expiration and he got 5 years.

    Khwaibah says that the TEMP should be renewed AFTER the TEMP expires to get the 5 years license.

    Who is right.

    Pls advise. Thanks

    CM LTD has soften up on their policy of renewal. It was as I stated but now they seem to let you go from 1 year to 5 year a few weeks in advance.

    You need to go to the amphur office that issued you your original yb and present some documentation of the sell of house and your new residency. They in return will issue you a letter that gives you 14 days to report to your new amphur where you surrender your old yb and a new yb is issued. The old or original yb is then returned by you to the old house address.

    I'm married and the house is in the wifes name. The above are the basic that were taken by me for moving and a new yb was issued. In my new yb is the old address and the new address. The old yb was returned to the original address to new home owners husband (foreigner) as the book was tied to the original address.

    Bar owners agree with Governor to enforce laws strictly

    The owners and managers of over 150 liquor stores, nightclubs, bars and karaoke bars met with Chiang Mai Governor M.L. Panadda Diskul in early July to sign an agreement to enforce certain regulations in their facilities including underage drinking, fire safety, and closing times.
