Anyone noticed its been hotter in Pattaya after the storm a few days ago ? I saw 90% humidity the other day, maybe that's the reason.... when I do my daily exercise I normally start sweating after 1k , but now I'm wet after 100 meter of activity.
I find the humidity varies quite a bit from day to day. It was absolutely beautiful this evening. Clear skies and a nice cool breeze off the ocean. I think both those things help keep the humidity low. I generally try stay indoors during the middle of the day. From around 11 to 5. Usually much nicer to be out and about after that, unless it rains.

On Soi Khao talo on thr darkside just over the railway line iaround Eakmongkol 3 are some new villas andat the village pool/restaurant bare a lot of French people. Only 10 minutes to Big C on Sunhumvit and there are some large markets a few minutes walk away
I think that area is kind of low lying and therefore floods quite easily when it rains. Something to consider when looking for places to live around Thailand.

I live in Thailand. Are you implying because I moved to Thailand I should never eat beef again in my life?
I am saying you should either stop bitching about it or leave and don't come back. The beef is not good or expensive and still not very good sometimes. Deal with it or go away. Of all the things to bitch about in Thailand, food is probably the last thing. If you still need to find reasons to bitch about even that, you must be one miserable mofo.
I keep coming back to Thailand specifically for the food, because it's amazing. I could just as easily go to the Philippines but the food sucks there, so I come to Thailand instead.
If I needed to eat beef THAT much, I would go to some place like South America instead. I like a good burger and steak just as much as anyone but I can do without it so I never eat beef in Thailand. I will eat that next time I am back in my home country. Just like I don't really eat pork back home but eat it all the time in Thailand because it's so good and inexpensive.

There is weather radar that can tell you that. It is very accurate for up to about 2 to 3 hours in advance. I always check it before going out and deciding whether to take an umbrella. Sometimes the weather can move in fast, which is why I have it on my smartphone and check it often when out and about.

Don't forget to again edit your post (as the one above) after extracting more BS with zero data or arguments.
Where is this European eutopia where ribs are 3x cheaper than Thailand? Why are you in Thailand when you could be back in that eutopia eating cheap ribs and better beef?
Thailand food sucks after all. And you are apparently on a mission to spread the word. I mean, why would anyone go to Thailand and eat, you know, Thai food, and all sorts of other excellent food, when they can spend every waking hour complaining about the beef and cost of the ribs.
The ribs are inexpensive compared to lots of places but you probably already know that and are just here to piss and moan about food in Thailand. So I call bullshit on your 3x cheaper nonsense.

Load of BS... 500,000 km2 not enough? lol
Why they don't get it from Vietnam? And no it is not a dog, even imported beef there is much cheaper than here.
Or why pork ribs are 2-3x of price in store in compare with Europe? Thailand has massive pork industry.... or does pork ribs comes from cattle too?
I see. So everything in Thailand sucks and is too expensive. I think you should go back to whatever cheap rib European eutopia you come from.

Plenty of cheap and good beef in Vietnam.
What makes Thailand that special that a steak should cost 2 day salary of average worker?
Bangkok - HCMC is 850km on road... so what makes it special?
You sure that is beef and not dog? Or beef mixed with dog?
I don't think raising beef cattle domestically works very well in Thailand. Probably because of the climate.
Also, Thais just aren't big fans of beef. So fewer beef eaters means fewer imports and higher cost.

Great new addition and (to my thinking) better than the other Tops in town
Serve low cost meals (a la Foodlands) and have fresh salad bar
So like the Tops they shut down some time ago at the more conveniently located (for me) Klang and 2nd road location.

I reckon that there is very good Thai food on offer in Texas.
But at what price? I assumed it goes without saying the complaints involve quality and/or price. But that doesn't stop internet randos from finding reasons to throw rocks.
I reckon you should go back to Texas if the beef is not up to your standards and the people aren't chronically obese enough for you and don't speak in an annoying illiterate sounding twang in their voice.

Try the print shop across from Friendship Market.

Just off sukhumvit were? I don't know where Baan and Beyond is.
I am assuming this is somewhere near the Big C at Pattaya Tai?

I think Ban Saray is ok. There are more and more westerners there. So you are starting to see a few more western oriented restaurants. The beach is nothing special but good enough if you really want that close by. It will be kind of boring. The biggest issue is traffic to/from Pattaya. Don't expect to be able to easily drive into Pattaya in the evening for dinner or whatever. I know a lot of people who live out of town that avoid going into Pattaya in the afternoon/evening. Especially on weekends.
If you don't need to be on the beach and don't need a beach view I think the darkside is better.

Again? The water washes it out where they put in troughs in the walkway and have therefore planned for it to get washed out in those locations. They simply fill it back in with sand in those locations. Sometimes within a day or two.

Been to Beefeater many times because other guys want to go. I actually didn't like it the first two times but it has since grown on me. I really like the potato au gratin there. Not saying the steak is better or worse but I prefer having a steak at Calles a few feet away from Beefeater.
I really miss La Queue de Cheval steakhouse in Montreal. They allow you to select your cut of beef there. World class service and steak but considerably more expensive than Beefeater.
Never ceases to amaze me the amount of people who go to Thailand, one of if not THE best country in the world for food, and complain about the beef. If you want to eat good beef go to a beef country. Don't go to Thailand.
Kinda like going to Texas and complaining about the Thai food.

Makro has big blocks. If you want something smaller then Friendship. Not impressed with Foodland or Tops cheese selection and price.
There are 2 Makro's. On Sukhumvit past Pattaya Tai and on Pattaya Nua not too far from Sukhumvit.

Another Starbucks. Just what Pattaya needs.

You say I sound jealous. lol
Here you make personal attacks and at least 7 incorrect and completely unfounded statements in a few short sentences, all in response to a joke.
Maybe you should consider what that makes you sound like?
You said you have better things to do than go to the malls. What is it you do in Pattaya all day every day with your 'family'. Why would anyone choose to settle down for the quiet no mall family life in Pattaya? Unless for the reasons I have already speculated on.

You sound jealous. Even posting twice. Sending all your spare money to her family in Issan so you can't afford to go to the malls for ice cream or coffee like other farangs? Living the recovering alcholics dream of selling the bar, marrying a bargirl and moving to the darkside?

I was reading last weeks Pattaya Mail today and they have 19th October as the opening date, not the 26th.
19th for the mall, 26th for the hotel.

Lack of incite on the mall popularity shows how out of touch some people are about where tourists/locals go and how much people love them.
The #1 tourist attractions believe it or not in downtown BKK is the malls. People everywhere taking the skytrain from T21 to MBK and down the line.
The new T21 here is already on the itinerary for just about every tour organization I know of. It will be the most popular congregation of people on a daily basis in the city. Like it or not.
My only thought is many naysayers here live in Jomtien or farther away. And, here you go another mall for Pattaya area and Jomtien does not even have a decent food court that I know of let alone any malls (or even a simple Mc'Donalds for that matter).
But hey, keep an open mind and go check it out. You might even have a good time.
You still have not provided full disclosure why you are so obsessed about it. What is your financial interest?

I am glad it is not only me that thinks along them lines, shopping to me is a necessity and a chore. There are far more things of interest to do even around the Pattaya area. When I need to buy something, it is straight there and straight back again. Using a shopping mall for a point of interest or to kill time would never enter my head. Absolutely hate the places, fortunately so does the other half.
Apparently you still do not get it and probably never will. Nobody is really talking about shopping. It's about the aircon and food for most people. It's not like back home where going to the mall is mostly about shopping. Most of the name brand shops here, with their overpriced stuff, are empty almost all of the time. Department stores like Central do better but a lot of their stuff is overpriced too.
Only mall stuff I ever buy here is in Mikes mall once in awhile. It has the same knock off stuff the street vendors have for the same price, but in an aircon environment.

8That's great if you live here full time and have a kitchen at home. Most people don't live here full time. Don't have gardens at home or whatever. A lot of the time it's a choice between sitting in their hotel rooms and going to the mall.
I think it's kind of wierd that people would choose to live here full time. So to each his own.
