  1. You must feel impotent...damage was done when he wasnt confronted over the first cash issue/yabba etc...  If family loyalty applies let other family members feel it and allow your child and relationship survive.....  But of course you are the Atm...

  2. There will be no limit on the number of entries. The latest news is that it the new rules will only be for those that just leave and return to get a new entry. You will not be effected by the new rules.

Again, what should be the period one must remain outside Thailand before he is considered "just leave and return" ?

If i understand the rules i read....

    .

If you have had 3 x Back 2 Back Tourist Visas. (9 months to include ext.s ).then you must remain out of the country for 3 months...

  3. Not quite off topic but.................... there is no mention of Overstay penalties being applied retrospectively..... i am concerned that any Overstay stamps in a passport together with many B 2 B visas over a period of years, would influence any IO, even though a good period of time ( over 9 months ) has been spent out of the country since;. He could still feel it necessary to deny entry and initiate a ban from the country according to the new rules on overstay penalties .... i dont suppose i will know until after the aug 12 date, or rather when somebody tries to re-enter = being me ... i have considered a passport renewal, this could work if the overstays are not registered against my name in the computer...... when i left with O Stay stamp..i did enquire about possibilities of refusal of re-entry and was told no problem.... haha But now..????

I need to consider if it would still feel like paradise if you have worrying about serious re entry hassles every 3 months....

  4. what goes up must come down...

Not for my London property it doesn't.

It will, even insanity has its boarders. Wait until no tradesmen, firefighters, police, sales people, nurses, road sweepers, dustmen, etc can afford to live anywhere near London, true splendid isolation.

    errr..i suspect not quite.......

could easily come a time when the service industries are housed in special ghetto type blocks..... something similar to the Police Housing which existed many years ago.... yes they will be subsidized by the higher rates that the community would pay for .

A sort of a Upstairs /downstairs arrangement for the millionaire London dwellers... Utopia..i think not...( it's happening now....council high rise ..)

  5. When i was living in Thailand... a certain online international bookmaker refused to allow me to 'do business' from there..... i quickly pointed out that they were advertising their business along side other online bookies on a Thai based site and could they explain.? .. They quickly reinstated my facility..... This has to be a grey area... if you are not placing a bet on a Thai sports event, or in illegal casinos, in fact anything Thai... you are not gambling in thailand...... If you make a request electronically to purchase a financial position in another country and that request is accepted or denied from persons in a different country... then that transaction has been finalised in a place outside Thailand... = Nothing to do with Thailand... I f from Thailand, i phoned a relative up in a different country and asked them to place a bet for me... then this has nothing to do with Thailand.....

I do suspect that Thai crooked nanny state is concerned that illegal money lenders and illegal bookmakers are corrupting their easily led population...

  6. Well she did mention to me that you were coming back, and we discussed it; you know the bar fine, and i said that as you were an existing customer that helped get her started that perhaps she should not add the 'bar fine '.. just accept the occasional drink etc...on top of the usual costs...... well you are an old friend now too.... ... hey lets have a drink together when you arrive....

  7. it doesn't sound like you have many options.... if your damaged passport still shows your last entry into thailand and or the departure slip, then there should be little problem if you present yourself at immigration at the airport with a booked exit flight.

Presumably they would need to look in the computerized immigration entries for your passport number/details if you dont have any proof of entry..

Be polite and have some sort of excuse for overstay , it helps....its their job so they will be more matter of fact than you the offender... pay up, be contrite and bon voyage...

    good luck

  8. Common ..at 55 you sound so naive....surely her behavior rings alarm bells for you ..even in your native country ... such an unlucky girl ,?? two days after face to face a family member dies suddenly.. !! Then she falls off the back of a pick up... but is able to skype and show damage so unlikely to have a latent hospital requirement... i suspect the reality check when she met you was enough to dissuade her from further congress and the N Year meet confirmed it.... the skyping was habit and she has terminated future contact as your impending arrival draws nearer......

Realistically few girls find 20 + age gaps romantic, but it can lead to greater security, and older men tend to be less demanding and we all look the same.. 40-- 60..... its an easy business !!...they want Jai Dee ( mug ATM ) not Keeniow ( cheap charlie )...

If it walks and looks like a duck.. it will probably go QUACK.....

  9. sounds to me that you see only obstacles and probably dont really want to move, certainly not a pioneering spirit, and when here you will probably find many of the oddities of thai life too irrational and too much to suit your insecure back ground ( ducks in a row )... you like other peoples dream and wish it was yours.. Chai Mai.?

  10. Its going to end in a crash for sure. They have gone against the market trend. They are jumping the gun here. I would not fly with 300/400 devices cluttering the avionics ( I am an Avionics Engineer) Have a nice day thai

Well thanx for the Heads up 'avionics Eng. ' .. so Thai Air are happy to ditch all their planes on the ground and face countless and crippling litigation because they can not afford or too stupid to engage an Avionics Eng.to investigate the feasibility of having WiFi on their planes...... of course filters to sensitive instruments and /or Wifi using different wave havent been discussed or invented.... oh yess.. hundred of planes are crashing daily because somebody on board has googled "Avionics Engineer define " on their tablet....... ... yawns.....

  11. of course you could continue the attack..... you could warn her that you have been looking for the dog owner for a long time so that you can prosecute her/him for having a dangerous dog ..... and that you may well feel the need to deliver your own justice towards her as you did the dog..... not in front of witnesses.. I suspect that you will have a lot of support down the Soi... you are probably a Hero...

  12. Ohh yet a again a FRIEND / MATE who cannot post for himself, just unbelievable.......................................

Maybe the friend isn't a member of thai visa.

haha.... A Friend Of Mine.. told me that he left Samui by air after a 400+ day overstay.... he was very polite and contrite, immigration were very polite and friendly, he paid his 20k bht fine... it all took an extra 5 minutes for the paper work..he was told by one female Imm. official that he was a "naughty man..and that the os would not affect future visa s and returns to Thailand. It is their job of work and a routine operation not a moral issue for them....this was in September This Year..

    Bon Voyage
