  1. You have to show proof of where you are staying also
If you have a wife /GF take her with you,it makes the whole process alot more simple[emoji106]

  3. I have seen a few over the years, including one on our patio.  Really they are placid and docile snakes and don't come after you or strike out like a cobra would.  They only bite if accidently stood on or harassed a lot.  But, yes, they are potentially fatal!!!

Thai name for them translates something like 'triangle snake' because their body is triangular shape in cross section.  They have a nice 'paint job' too.

    You speak true [emoji106]

Im sure there is good micro brewries now, but as you mentioned, I havent been back to the states since 95. Used to spend my winters there skydiving in small towns in Florida, and we only drinked bad imported beer, such as Carlsberg, Heineken, Fosters, Coronna, and some few german beers as well. Compare to American beer, very expensive.

However I went to a bar in Minneapolis where they had a huge sortiment of beer from all over world, that was a great surprise back in 1986. Great place.

I do not drink alot of beer, but when I do, I drink Lao, Heineken, and Tiger when in Thailand.

But in Chumpon we found a great small livebar restaurant, with good beer.

    Great place.

  5. I've lived here for 20 years and beyond TEFL teachers or backpackers I've never seen it.  I've never seen a large group of couples where both Thai partners could speak English well enough to discuss politics.  Of course I mostly associate with business people and engineers.  Thailand has almost no political education in college so it is not surprising that the talk would center around work, weather and food.

Me and my wife talk, mind you she is 4 yrs older than me
So i think it helps,we try and keep a distance from politics though !
