  1. Picture please, i want to see

It's more than likely this one.

Went to the market near Cambodia yesterday and there were thousands of the things, they liked one type of tree in particular.

  2. I'd appreciate it if you could post a photo or scanned copy of the piece of paper signed by a competent officer of the Kap Choeng immigration office stating that this office refuses to accept mailed notifications of staying in the Kingdom longer than 90 days.

If the OP is unable or (for reasons known only unto himself) unwilling to post this info, maybe he could at the very least kindly advise us all as to how he found out about Kap Choeng no longer accepting mailed-in 90-day reports. Was it, for example, through a chance enquiry which he made of that particular office either in person or by phone? Or was it through some written notice provided by that office with the notification slip confirming receipt of his latest (presumably mailed-in) 90-day report?

Possibly because his wife owns a coffee shop a stones throw away from Immigration. Many westerners, myself included, often pop in after a Immigration visit, used to be to relax, but venting is becoming more common.

  3. Back on topic: if the OP can open a conversation in Thai, then that's all he needs with the young ladies. If they prattle off in machine-gun, semi-Lao, have the confidence to interrupt with a polite, "Sorry, say again?" (in Thai) and explain your limitations. You will have a lot of fun I am sure.... just don't miss your flight!

That's one of the drawbacks of learning Thai in a village setting, depending on location most conversations in the village will be Laos, Khmen or Suay or some other, you have to tell them to speak Thai, for a real begginer it can be quite a challenge to hear if they have switched to Thai or not.

  4. NO NO NO....THAILAND DIDNT MAKE THESE PEOPLE GET IN A BOAT AND FLOAT AROUND FOR WEEKS MONTHS AND DIE OF STARVATION AND OTHER UNFORTUNATES

THAILAND OR ANY OTHER COUNTRY HAS NO OBLIGATION TO THESE MISFORTUNATES....

HOWEVER I DO THINK THE UK OWES THESE PEOPLE CITIZENSHIP SINCE THEY WERE THE ONES TO COAX THEM INTO BURMA ALMOST 100 YEARS AGO

That was 100 years ago ,not our problem ,its like apologising to black people for slavery ,i was not a slaver why should i apologise for something my ancestors did .? and once you open the doors look what happens , you have the multicultural rubbish mix we now have in the UK

And it is just a little inconvenient for the blame gamers that the Rohingyas have been in Burma for a thousand years.

There were muslim settler but the numbers increased 4 fold when the British brought in the labourers.

They were not in shackles, they went willingly because the conditions for them there were better than what they had where they where.

Those conditions changed, Burma did that, no one else.

  6. My last entry was also in 2011, so that has knackered my plans for trying the system.

You should at least try it. Maybe it will work for you.

Just try filling in the first page and click submit. If you don't get the message and it goes to the next step just close the page.

I'll still have a go Joe, there is enough lag time in the system that it would make it silly not to.

And of course I will report what happens.

  7. I think 500 B is a livable figure considering I, infrequently, spend that much for breakfast for 2.

    Two 99B fry-ups and a 302B tip?

Obviously, unlike you, Kubasa doesn't breakfast at "Crazy Daves".

Wow, that's a pretty wild assumption.

And you couldn't possibly be more wrong if you tried.

  8. He has said that the public should find proper way to manage their stress through finding balance, focus, communication, and being honest and kindness in order to create a healthy workplace environment and relationship with their coworkers.

If people like him hadn't dedicated their entire lives turning Thailand in to a factory staffed by unthinking clones (for his benefit) there would not be a problem.

But of course the problem was not created by him and his ilk, someone else did it didn't they (sarc)

  9. Yingluck achieved WHAT is what you should concentrate on NOT the PM.

As said a million times being elected democratically does not give any government the OK to disobey the law--go against the vow made ---This is nothing compared to the proven REGIME that was supposed to have run the country transparently--but shot it's self in the foot because it took it's orders from another land--proven fact.

Constructive criticism on TV channels is fine --but a line has to be drawn when they are used to disrupt and tarnish, when the owners are actually criminals, or were --- were they not ??? fair opposition is healthy.

But saying that the minority here will answer with the usual brainwashing camps--forced labour--N.Korea--Siberia----ha ha.

What dd Yingluck achieve. As you can see below she largely delivered on her election promises. Just as politicians are supposed to.

You appear to believe that some of the things on that list happened that didn't.

And out of your list, the things that did really happen benefited who?

  10. The abuse of children by catholic priests in western countries only became known after the church lost most of it's power.

What horror stories will surface in Thailand in 20 years from now?

As it looks as if the horror stories are a foregone conclusion, I would prefer not to wait 20 years.

That would cut down on the number of future victims.
