  1. The hospital know the rules.....you need your yellow book, one photo, a blood test, urine test, x ray and a yearly fee of 1900 bht....this gives you access to the 30 baht scheme........many of my friends are on the scheme....a german friend smashed his ankle in 4 places....3 operation, two rods in his foot....had a bill for 65000 bht...he showed his thai medical card.....bill reduced to 30 bht...............so its not free health care as you said....its a yearly scheme....for 1900 baht and 30 baht a visit which covers everything apart from any dental work....

I think your friend has just been lucky, there is no access to the health care system for western foreigners, including ones working and paying taxes.

    Yes there is.

  2. Rice surplus, pay the farmers loans for them. Rubber surplus, assist the farmers. Many will blame the farmers but is it really their fault?

Has it ever crossed your mind to open another mobile phone shop in Pantip Plaza.

    Mine neither.

Yes, it is their fault in essence.

But it is crucially the fault of the educational system not teaching critical thinking and looking beyond today.

Education for the masses is the number 1 problem facing this country.

Correct, and it is also the largest threat to the status quo (not the band)

  3. He better move fast, and keep his mouth shut.

Oh, oh my. Something tells me he is just not capable.

    Nobody is.

He has three sets of people to appease, the voting Thai community, the Thai elite and the international community.

It matters not what he or anyone else in his situation does, he will piss off at least one of them.

How much import each section has on the running and success of the country is the major factor.

I do not envy him at all.

HA! The 'voting Thai community? You clearly have zero understanding of what's happening.

    Really, enlighten me then.

What do you think is happening?

    " the voting Thai community"

Don't think they are a concern, they didn't vote for him.

So, you haven't thought about the next election either, truly integrated.

  6. Everything seems to be a top priority. Minute details of obscure insignificant, to trafficking evil ongoing that needs to be crushed. Pm needs to stop trying to control everything. But in the military, that is the norm. Private: Sir, may I take a s**t? Sergeant: You have 30 seconds, go!

It's like pressing down bubbles in wallpaper or playing whack-a-mole.

At the moment trafficking is getting the thumb down (or mallet if you would prefer) next week it will be something else.

Instead of focusing on one mole or unwanted pocket of air, he should rip the whole wall down.

But he is sitting on top of the wall, so that will not happen.
