My wife asked about the TM30 reporting at Nakhon Ratchasima office. They told her that it was not needed at their office (this was in March 2019). I haven't filed and will probably not do any filings before renewing next year.  I'm more concerned about the insurance regulations. My local expat friends told me that they have not been enacted here and the issue seems to have died a death on TV so I don't know what to think.

Agreed, and the day you need an extension is a terrible day to do it.  Last time I went up there, after a 27 hour trip, they got me out in five minutes for an update, and there was a roomful of people in sheer misery.. you needed a machete to cut through the tension...

And I wish I had a cold beer for every expat retiree that tells me.. I have been here for blank years and never done a tm30, what the heck are you talking about..

Same as me never done a TM 30 never plan to ever file one...

  3. This photo was from before they lowered the Promenade to let the water drain..It only took them 3-4 years to figure out water needs a outlet or it just sits there for ages......

I dont get it really the Promenade before 2013 drained great....The Promenade rebuild was a disaster that did not drain beach road and took years to fix....

It's legal all over the world.  The only thing ugly is in the mind of ministers of the Baptist Church.

Yea right....Book a 2 week stay in Sihanoukville then get back to us..

Yes, but Pattaya will no longer be what it was for Westerners, for better or for worse (many say for the better). The Chinese are buying up properties and business in the area in anticipation of the EEC (Eastern Economic Corridor) which, if all goes as planned, will do to the Eastern seaboard of Thailand (Chonburi and Rayong Provinces) what the Chinese have already done to Sihanoukville in Cambodia.

I pray this does not happen....If gamboling is ever legalized things could get ugly fast.....

Ah yes 50B, how nostalgic can we be! I was at SFX Cinema (Central) yesterday (weekday afternoon) and it seems that the cheapest price was 200/220 B and prices went up from there!

And downstairs in the Food Hall, the green curry with chicken which last year was 110B (previously 90B) is now priced at 150B. Quite a rate of increase over one year since I was last here in Sin City!

Wednesday is the cheap day for movies at Central....It WAS 120 baht not sure now...

I have been using 2.4G which is perfectly ok. However, in Ireland where they are being used a guinea pigs for the rollout of 5G, they have been reducing the quality and speed of lower internet speeds because of the lack of take up.

Now this is a good way to get the sheep begging for 5g...

Make 2g 3g 4g slower and more crappy all the time....

And 5g will come to the rescue....lol

The sheep will be taught to love 5g....

AIS have already been throttling the wifi in Pattaya after a certain amount of usage, where as before it was unlimited usage and always fast.....

The business class showing its contempt for the people.  If a business can't pay a living wage, why should it be in business?  And if an economy can't pay living wages, then we need a new economy.  No economist worth his salt would argue the the poor are a burden on the economy.  In fact, it's the concentration of wealth that is problem.

Gee I wonder why the homeless population EXPLODED in the western USA states AFTER they started jacking up the minimum wage...

Wages is a small part of the overall operating costs therefore it shouldn't be a factor.

Example, in Denmark the min wage is $20 per hour yet a Big Mac is only 80 cents more expensive than the USA.

Also in theory a business will increase price as a last resort relating to wage increases.

Sure a small wage rise of 10 baht might not make a difference but a 100 baht increase will raise all prices no way around that...
