Last year I fell off my bike (Bicycle) on the road around Lake mabrachan, broke my leg in 5 places including compound fractures of the two major bones just above my ankle, arterial blood shooting around 10 inches with every beat of my heart.

Thanks for the lifesaving help of the 7 or 8 Thai people who were passing in coming to my aid, calling the services and stopping the blood flow by applying pressure to the broken artery, the Thai people who then directed the traffic around where I was lying because they did not wish to move me in case I had other serious injuries.

In other words Do I need to spell it out?

if there are enough people helping at an accident then maybe you have justification in passing bye but if the accident has just happened in front of you then you should stop and try to give assistance even if you are only qualified or capable of re directing traffic around the incident.

Sounds like you have some vested business interests there. The aiport is 20km out of town, forget about any 10 min transit. Have you even been there? The only regular flights are to Siem Reap, maybe PP.

Pattaya has vastly better and more wide-ranging offerings of hotels, shops, restaurants, attractions, entertainment. Pattaya is not very clean but Sihanoukville? Jeez.....

Sihanoukville is a much much better option than Pattaya depending on your needs/wants...

The beaches are most certainly better 10 fold. Its basically Pattaya 20 years ago. Its got some catching up to do but the VISA is probably its greatest asset and you can work on it if you choose...

I spent the last 6 months there and regret coming back... The casinos are lots of fun and there are more and more quality restaurants opening all the time.

50 cents US for a beer is hard to beat anywhere in the world... A far friendlier place than Pattaya also..

If you can handle the heat and only being able to see half the track its an interesting day out...You have never seen 10 of the most unfittest horses in the world struggling down the straight till you've been. It's priceless... I even won on a horse called Chicago.. Take your passport if you want a seat in the members area...

Coffee spot on top of Buddha hill Pratumnak. Great view and excellent coffee...

As has been suggested earlier, if he is in fact the son of a policeman I can't imagine him feeling any remorse. Probably adds to the reason why he might have taken such drastic action, thinking he will probably get off. Maybe a small payment to the girls family but he's probably long odds to do any serious jail time..

Sad but true here in Thailand...

I recently (this week) applied for my first yearly extension of stay based on marriage and did not require a witness. They asked about children to my wife but that was it. Took in heaps of photos and let them choose the ones they wanted.. Seems we might have got lucky with the witness which I would have considered a major pain in the neck...

I did my first extension based on marriage swapping from a tourist visa to Non O then to the extension and did not need a witness. Looks like it is hit and miss on the witness. Anyone else care to share if they required a witness..

Also seems to be a lot of people asking can you change from a tourist visa to non- O visa based on marriage at Jomtien and the answer is yes.. Well at least it was for me..

Simply disgusting that they can complain in regards to air pollution.. Hypocrisy at its absolute greatest.. In 3 months time it will be time for the THAIS of the North to unload all of their fire burning particles on their neighbours.. Strap yourself in Singapore and the like.....
