No please no more whore mungers from Thailand to Burma. It's still so nice there because it's not flooded with white trash yet.

  2. The real answer to the original question:

Because a lump of paper or sanitary napkin can block the the toilet. The P or S trap of the toilet bowel is only about 65mm diameter in Thailand. The sewer pipes are usually 100mm diameter. But there is no way the Thais are going to change the way they have been making toilets for 100 years just because there is a big problem in the design that can be fixed easily.

Not just in Thailand. Seems the same everywhere. And not just females.

True. But I travel a lot. And Thailand the worst by far (that I've seen) for this behaviour. Can't even walk the streets here with out people bumping into you because they are on the phone and not looking where they are going.

People bitching about others using their telephones. Just go and make some new friends, if you can.

You will be very hard pressed to find a Thai girl who doesn't use her phone more than engaging in an intelligent conversation. That's the problem.

I have traveled and lived in many poor, developing countries. Never have I been asked to 'lend' money to people so much as in Thailand. When I first came here I was cashed up and gullible. In the first 3 years here l lent over 3,000,000 B to 17 different people. For everything from operations for mother, to opening a business, to can't pay the rent, to ticket to Switzerland to start job, need money for new born baby or they won't let me leave hospital etc etc etc. Never been paid back even 1 baht........gave up asking for repayment last year. But strict policy of absolutely no loans to Thai people anymore. I might add that a lot of these people earn more money than me and consider themselves my friends. Also never had any kind of sexual relationship with any of them.

Wherever I go in the world, I maintain a policy of "don't lend what you can't afford to give".

Good advice. I have finally learnt. And on the last loan to the unwed girl with the bady: even my Thai friends said I would never get the money back. Just consider it a gift to the baby for good luck, if I was going to do it.

Well, first off, I hope your wife is ok. She should get rabies shots as well. Never trust what the dog owner says.

I am surprised the owner has agreed to pay the bills, as this is a rare thing in Thailand.

I would involved the local kanam (sp...the local village chief) and get the dog removed.

"Agreed to pay bills" is different to "Has paid bills" Good luck.

Perhaps its just Me, but i don't find anything funny in it.These People can Vote, nice as they may be, that's why democracy doesn't balance out here too good. No Education. Just Red Rhetoric and 1-10 Rules pinned on an Amphur Wall.coffee1.gif.pagespeed.ce.Ymlsr09gMJ.gif alt=coffee1.gif width=32 height=24>

All democratic countries follow one religion or another. What's the difference between that and what these people believe?

Agree. Wherever there is religion there is superstition. Same thing.

  9. You just go to the car parking area and take the lift to the departure level.

I think you will find that there is not much of a queue at taxi area.

Good luck I got stopped doing just that. Can't go up from arrivals apparently. Not according to the uniformed lady anyway. What the hell I had to wait a whole five minutes for a taxi anyway.

Yeah, there are so many taxis out there and the system is so well managed that a wait hardly ever occurs.

Not in my experience. Never waited any less than 20 minutes, people pushing in. All the usual nonsense. Maybe it's changes in the past few years? But going upstairs to departures was always much quicker.

  10. Where did Russians go on holiday before Phuket. I still cant believe how many of them are over here.

How can you tell a Russian from say, an American, or a Brit unless you hear them speaking?

Easily.......the way they dress, behave, composure, attitude, facial features and how early in the day they get drunk. Yes generalisations I know, but being right 98% of the time is good enough for me.

  11. Finally.... #1!!!!!!

As I posted the other day...

#2 in ASEAN for teen pregnancy

#3 in the world for road deaths

All they were missing was a number one. And now... Taa-daa! Well done.

Things are finally looking up for the country.

Didn't they also get a world 2nd in extra-marital affairs by females in study last year? Published in BK magazine.

    On a roll Thailand......yeh.
