. One of these sometimes is quite helpful, just have to be sure and get the right one. Look for an older, laid-back, easy-going mutt. The two brown ones are calm as cotton balls. Mine, the black and white one, is a sidewinder missile looking for a target, but is extraordinarily affectionate and obedient.

. I lived in Mexico for a few years. Even the hot dog cart had two guys working; one taking money and making change, no gloves, the other with gloves only handling food. Taco carts the same. I understand your frustration with stupidity (the vendor). I just shake my head in amazement. See them take off their masks to eat and set them, face side face down on the table, touch all kinds of condiments, pick up mask, put it back on after eating. No sense whatsoever.

Wanted to buy a new vehicle, but apparently I'm too stupid to read a gas gauge, buckle my belt, or remove my keys without the bells of Notre Dam clanging. So forget it. Also been trying to buy a Stupid TV the past week: don't want a remote with multiple useless buttons on it--colorful, eye-catching ones at that--for YouTube, Netflix and so on. I've asked "chefs" in LOS if the buri (what most people call hamachi or yellowtail), is fresh or frozen and they say fresh. No thank you. The process of becoming a chef in Japan takes seven years; the first two an apprentice is not even allowed to touch a fish. A Japanese chef sells his purchase the same day he buys it. One week? You're lucky to be alive....
