  1. post-21260-1203939654_thumb.png

Maestro, or anyone that get shed some light..

I keep hearing different rules concerning when you can return after you have completed 90 days in a 6 month period..

In Vatti's situation, lets say he does the 7 days to get the total amount of 90 days... When can he return after he departs Thailand? I've heard different things, which this is my understanding of how it works.. For Vatti, when he arrived in Thailand on 6 Dec, that's when the clock started towards the 6 months.. So he would be able to return to Thailand in July??

Another example... Let's say someone arrived on 01 January... They complete 90 days, broken up into 30 day periods, 30 days in January, 30 days in March and 30 days in June.. So that first 6 month period is from 01 Jan to 30 Jun.. Would they be able to start the new count of 90 days on 01 Jul??? Or is it, that you need to leave the country for 6 months straight?

Which does not make any sense to me, cuz I'm looking at what I normally do, which is 60 days a shot... Let's say I stay in Thailand from 01 March to 30 April (60 days) then return on 01 Sep for (30 days), that would make 60 days in 6 months - (01 April to 30 Sep)... or 90 days in 7 months (01 Mar to 30 Sep).. So, March would fall off towards the 6 months??

I've actually done something exactly like this last year.. I had a 5 month break from my first 60 days, to my second 60 days in 12 months.. I was worried the entire trip, from customs on arrival to the border run.. According to the travel agent, upon my border run request to get my second 30 day visa stamp, she said I would be able to do another border run.. I don't know if I'm just lucking out, and if I do this again, will I get screwed??

What's the real deal... I'm so confused... :o

  2. it appears that more water was the answer - i drank a lot more water for a few days and everything seems to have cleared up - thanks for everyones help and advice

Hopefully that was the problem... My newphews they never drink water, and they also don't flush the toliet.. A few times there would be the darkest yellow piss in the toliet bowl I've ever seen... I had asked them, don't you guys drink any water, they both said no ... "what for" .... I also asked them if they ever flush that dam_n toliet.. They deny not flushing.. :o

  3. Mark - get out more and stop revolving your life around this Neion2000:
If you get annoyed because a baby is crying when you're on a plane, then buy a Bose speaker headset to drowned out the noise of everything that goes on during a flight.

Uh, so how does that work, exactly? I can't recall there being a Bose duty-free shop on the plane in flight. .. :o

So what you are saying is that it is the responsibility of the people being inconvenienced by a crying infant to come prepared with electronic sound canceling equipment? Well, at least you've thought this through.

I'm just going with that you're not on the plane at the moment and that you would have the opportunity to purchase that particular item prior to a future trip.. I just seen the advertisement that it could be very helpful to drowned out some much of the noise that could occur on a flight.. It has to be better than what the airline lets you use, so yes, it would be the responsibility of each person that is inconvenienced or annoyed to do what ever to takes to make their own flight more pleasant..

Now I most likely jinxed myself by joining in this conversation... I have a flight to Thailand this Wednesday.. I did not take my own suggestion by buying them headphones, so most likely I'll be sitting aside crying twins, that have the shits, and I'll be saying to myself, freaking Mark!!! you cursed me.. dam_n you!!! :D

  4. Don't you people go to the movies or something with a babysitter looking after the kid? Or are true to your posts and take the baby with you to the "romantic" dinner and then the cinema? Do you carry the baby while you dance?

I watch movies, and I watch the news, and that is MORE of a reason not to trust a baby sitter.. When it comes to being a parent and you have the need/instincts to have your child with you during a romantic vacation or just going to the movies, it's up to the parents and not anyone else to make that decision..

Plus, if you don't know the circumstances why someone would not leave their child at home, then ask them... They may have wanted to leave their child-(ren) with family or a baby sitter, but it may have not been an option.. Or, they just want to bring their children with them, why do you care? If you get annoyed because a baby is crying when you're on a plane, then buy a Bose speaker headset to drowned out the noise of everything that goes on during a flight... If you don't want to bring your kids to a family function, then don't, it's up to you..

I'll also add, if I had a one year old child, and had someone I could trust my life on to take care of him/her, then I would do that... Because I would love to spend some alone time with my significant other in some romantic location or just a night out in the town.. I just know that it's not always possible..

Anyway, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't when it comes to opinions, in this situation..

  5. ALL FARANGS PLEASE READ!!

I'm an American who has read and heard about the Thai girls and to not buy anything unless consulting a lawyer and wait a while first, like a year or more. Well I took a girl out of the bar and out of a rat infested box near Din Daeng and built a Big house in Wangnoi (near Ayuthaya) and now we are divorced and she and her family are claiming that I did not pay for anything and that it belongs to them. To make matters worse, she got pregnant with a Thai guys baby and said it was mine.

I would ask for input in how to get the land and house back and would like to bulldoze/ destroy this house and would like to get the media involved as well as sponsors to help me to destroy this place as money is not an issue but I would like to make an example that we can all share of BAD Thai women that take advantage of us Farang. :o

If you're just trying to make an example with your goal of getting the house and property back just to destroy it, then you're being childish... If you want to set/make an example, go through the court system, if you win your case, then give the house to some charity... or someone less fortunate family that lives down the road.. Use that as your way to get the media involved..

If you really, really, want the media involved, then take the advice of some other posts, like burning down the house, or just bull dozer it down, you may get all the attention you don't want.

Besides the point, you have money and it's not an issue to you.. If you were a broke indiviidual, then more people might feel inclined to have sympathy for your situation.. I do feel for you, that you got screwed over, but not with your goal of just trying to get even..

    Good Luck!!!!

  6. This is going to sound really ridiculous, but it something some Thai people believe in...

My GF lives near Kamphangphet, whenever she or her family has a problem and needs help, they go to one those Buddhist temples, and see this particular monk, they tell him the problem, and he's been able to actually help them out...

Mostly it's been small things, like losing the keys to their motor bike, this monk was able describe the person who had the keys in this case. He said it was someone with white skin, which ended up being the mother, who had the lightest skin tone of everyone, the mother was being an "A" hole and hid the keys..

Then another time a wallet was missing, we could not find it.. We went back to see the same monk.. He says to look up high.. We go back, looked on top of cabinets, on top the refrigerator, places we've previous looked, but checked again.. It ended up being in freaking trash bag hanging on the wall..

It wasn't like he was able to pin point the answer, but was able to give enough info to solve the problem..

    Just throwing that out there...

But good luck in finding whom ever did that to your dogs...

  7. You know when you've been in Thailand too long when: (may relate to others already posted)

When you take the motor bike to get something to eat with your significant other, then her sister wants to go.. When you start to drive away, the little brother starts crying, so he ends up coming as well.. When you think you're ready to go, the mother says to get 3 cases of Chang and 1 case of Whisky, and you know you'll have no problem in doing that.. In fact when you come back with the 3 cases of Chang and the case of Whisky, you also were able to pick up 4 blocks of ice, plus food for the entire family from the little side road restaurant you just had lunch at..

  8. It still sounds funny to my American ears, I must say.

It does sound funny.. I was chuckling it up with some of the responses.. Then I had to do a google search for Spotted Dick..

"Spotted Dick Pudding is a traditional British sponge pudding made with golden syrup, suet and raisins. Best served hot with custard."

    Sounds delicious.. :o

  9. i think if they dont call you hansum then you are ok looking.

hansum is reserved for the lower 25 % tile as far as looks go.

Just my observation while having beers outside "Any" bar....

You normally hear the BGs making their cat calls, nothing new.. You take a look to see what's up.. It's some middle to older aged farang, in shape or not, that appears to have been to Thailand a few times. The BGs can take'em or leave'em..

Then some times you hear a louder roar of women yelling out sexy man, handsome man, what ever.. You take a look to see what's coming down the street, and it's a group of dudes with polo shirts on, checking the girls out with that shit eating grin on their faces, like they're something special, when in the real world no one would give them the time of day..

Then you have your better than average looking Joe, and it appears some of the women will just let you walk on by, because they know you won't be interested in an average looking bar girl.. and think you're out looking for the hottest BG in Thailand... So, you get the free pass with little to no one calling you over..

Then on occasion, you hear that roar again, but coming from multiple bars with much more enthusiasm.. So you take a look what is so special coming down the street, and it's your typical stud type, good looking, tall, and in very good shape... That would be your rock star type the women want, even if they think you might be a cheap bastard, but they don't care. They want a change of pace from your average to less than average customer, and want to get nailed by someone that they're actually attracted to..

Then you have the young punk looking type, nothing special, maybe in good physical condition.. I think the BGs want nothing to do with them, because there is a very good chance that they are cheap bastards and can't trust them...

    Just my opinion...

  10. My question is, is this a common thing with older western blokes? I mean I have even seen in here that some older people actually think they look good to Thai girls and attract them because they think they look handsome.

Not just older western men... I'm sure there are young and middle aged western men that think the same way... A few years back, there was a co-worker of mine, he was about 35 years old.. He would go to Thailand and the Philippines and would come back with stories of the women that love him and can't live without him type stories.. This dude had yellow rat looking teeth, no chin, bald, and just physically sick looking..

He thought he was God's gift to the world.. He must have heard the sexy man - handsome man comment so many times that he became brain washed and actually believed it.. He was so stuck on himself, that he'd put the photo's of the women he met and save them as the background on his computer, then would make sure everyone knew that these were all his girlfriends..

I'd have thoughts of these poor girls that actually had sex with him, they must have really wanted that money to look at that ugly ass face of his.. I'm sure these girls he met would have preferred an overweight man that was halfway decent looking vice some dude that look like he was beat with an ugly stick..

Anyway.. There is this one bar on Soi 6 I was sitting at having a beer... This one BG sitting outside near me yelled out "hey sexy man" the guy was pretty much as you described your friend... I asked her, do you really like that guy, she said no, but no cutomer...

  11. Properly spayed females will have no interest in sex because they won't go into heat; females with only the uterus removed on the other hand will still go into heat and seek sex but get no relief from it.

Male dogs and cats, if they had discovered sex before neutering, may continue it from time to time buit of course with much reduced frequency as lower hormone levels mean lowered urge. But I think dogs at least still experience pleasurable genital sensations and so may do it for that reason.

I went to visit my daughter at my Ex's - sisters house.. they had a pitt bull, he was like 14 years old, up there in age, and had been fixed... His health had been going south, so the doctor prescribe him some type of dog steroid.. He was the only pet in the family and I had tossed him a tennis ball to play with, the next think I know, he's trying to hump my leg.. I did not check if he had a boner or anything like that, just in case someone asks.... I just figured it was the same for dogs as for humans with a vasectomy, even at an older age or having work done to stop have off springs, was still able to PTP..

  12. Like to photograph people, these pictures where made on a nightmarket in Hat Yai.

With very old Yashica D 6x6 b/w. Postprocessing; scratch layer and colorized.

    For sharing and evaluate :o

    196065846_5d9068a784.jpg

This photo looks like you pasted a man's face on a woman's body? Other than that, the creepy old style color and texture looks are kewl... Almost like an old crime scene or a very old photo... Not knocking it!!

  13. For me asian girls are the best, but that is just my taste when it comes to looks.

But I like a bit of brains too, not just bimbo's. Ive been with many girls here in Sydney, aussie, british, asian, sth american. But the best one I found out of the whole lot was this one Thai girl, she was pretty fluent in english and had beauty, class and was very sharp.

She was studying here and I met her at the pub drinking with some of her friends. She took my breathe away and this was the first Thai girl I ever dated and now she is my wife and we have been together for 6 years (1 years married tomorrow).

    Happy Anniversary

  14. My women now is a stunner, actually better than what I am used to, but if anything it has made my discerning taste even more refined. Another poster wrote this on another thread.

This is so far away from my thinking that I wonder how many others think this way too? I don't mean that I dont value personality it's just that without great looks I dont stay interested. Actually to be honest I am surprised by how often I see men with very mediocre looking women. Especially in Thailand where any, well nearly any, decent man can get a real looker. Now this makes me sound shallow, but I am just being honest. Afterall, how often do you see a pro footballer or an actor with a 4/10 on his arm?

Aren't we in Asia partly to avoid having to put up with some sour faced donut in our bed?

Beauty is important... Also, a beautiful person with a shitty personality is not so attractive... Your woman maybe a stunner, but may look like a sour faced donut without make-up on... I'm just saying COULD, not saying she DOES.. So, post a photo of her, for I can see.. :o

I also can be a shallow individual and will only date nothing less than a 7??? Joking!!! It does not matter that much to me about looks, but she sure in the hel_l must have an awesome looking body.. :D ok, ok, ok.. my shallow-ness is coming out again.. I love women period, any shape, good looking, not so good looking, if I'm happy with her, then it should not matter to anyone...

Now for you to judge another man's woman, and compare that woman to the way the man looks, I'm not sure if shallow is the word.. Kind of strange that you would notice that or even care.. You have stunning looking woman, so don't worry, be happy!!!

  15. " Being the brainlessThai that she is, she put both my first name and middle name in the same box somewhere along the way. This meant that the recipient could not claim the money, and I could not use the online tracking feature to try to find it.

Just another day in the land of smiling idiots !"

Nice , very nice comment, why don't you go back to your no doubt wonderfull home country, it must a nice place where no mistakes are made ..... Woow i wish i could live in a place like that, it must be so nice....

I heard of a place like that, everyday the sun shines, the sky is blue, there's a huge rainbow that rains skittles candies, no traffic, and no one makes mistakes, it just the perfect place to live at.. I think this dude is the president of fairyland..

I do hate comments like that as well.. says she's a Brainless Thai, then adds land of smiling idiots.. HOLD ME BACK!!!

  16. To answer all of your questions....I don't believe I am right for drink driving, I just wanted to see what people thought about the punishment I received. When I asked the police why they aren't down the road arresting everyone leaving the pub drunk on motorcycles, his response was..."no problem unless you crash" No, I wasn't wearing a helmet. I hope to leave Sriracha as soon as I can find a new job. Now, I know I should have paid the Thai bloke off (hard for me to believe that he can be referred to as a victim) and his Aunt but at the time I didn't feel I was in the wrong or over the limit. I have been in Thailand long enough to know that I will not be treated the same as a Thai. Like I said, I jsut wanted to know people's thoughts on the punishment I received.

I think you made out like a bandit... I really just wanted to say that response you got "no problem, unless your crash" is harlarious.. and so true..

  17. In a perfect world, this would workout just fine.. Then again, I don't know if you have to be physically in the States, and with an entry and no exit stamp to Laos, will they question it, I don't know..

Here is what I do know.. I did not mail my paperwork/passport from another country, but when I did receive my non-Immigrant B multiple entry visa package from the Visa Service located in BKK.. I filled out the documentation, expressed mailed to the Thai Consulate in Houston, with an prepaid express mail return envelope.. I got it back in 4 days.. Mailed in on a Tuesday and got it back on 'Friday..

Now I did read another post by an individual that mailed in his passport for a 60 day Tourist Visa, to the Thai Consulate in Washington, D.C., 3 weeks later, he still had not received his passport/visa back.. He had done this in the past, and had his passport w/visa returned in about 10 days, but something happened on his last request.. Something you might have to consider..

  18. I don't live on a baht bus route, and never have, but on the occassions I am 'in the circuit' they are great. I defy any UK/US/AZ/NZ to say that they are not cheap and convenient (I left Euro's from the list as you now have Romanians and Poles who probably think they are expensive). :o

The only time I ever hear of people getting ripped off is when they go 'off route', and then that is probably down to their poor negotiating skills prior to boarding.

I will not even get into the 5/10 baht arguement, as I am far too young, and still have a life. My point is, find a cheaper, more regular, more convenient style of transport in your home country, then tell us all how bad the baht busses are.

Your very mentioning the Bt5/10 rip off (wait for the new Bt5/20 rip off) shows that you are aware of a fundamental sense of cheating amongst them but you choose (as I do) to suffer it due to the fear of violence.

Prey, if that does not describe scum who will beat you up if you do not pay a 100% surcharge then what does ?

Another famous piss take of recent years. Get on at South Pattaya and head for BigC. Little shit turns up Pattaya Klang or down it to Beach Road because he doesn't have, for him, enough passengers. He forgets in business you must assume risk but he wants the fare anyway and he wants you to pay again with another truck, thus incurring a 300% surcharge ! (Bt5 to Bt20 !).

A scare tactic is to stop for a lone passenger on the way to Jomtien late at night, say around the arab area. Then he stops about 200m further along and asks where you are going, trying to intimidate you into a private hire for fear of being "lost" in Pattaya. I lived in Jomtien so this particular trick never worked and I'd tell him I was going the same way as him to Jomtien.

However, the worst of all and their number has risen massively in the last few years are the little shits who will not ply the routes but who only want private hire. Avoid like the plague wherever possible as it just fuels their belief that being a lazy bugger backed up by a threat of violence is a fair way to earn a living.

When I'm in Pattaya, I stay an average of 2 months per trip, and do this twice a year and have done this for the past 5 years.. . I normally take a baht bus 1 to 3 times a day, everyday... out of the hundreds of times I've taken a baht bus, there was only one incident that was bad..

I had gotten out at Big "C" gave the man 10 baht and walked away.. The dude jumps out and starts yelling at me, pointing at 10 baht in his hand.. So, I said, yes, correct, 10 baht. He's like no, no, no, 10 baht, 10 baht.. I asked him you want yee-sip (20) baht.. yeah, yeah!! I only had large baht bills at the time.. I would have given him another 10 baht, shit I would have given him 20 baht.. But I did not have change.. So I walked away... The clown grabbed me.. I slap the crap out of his hand, then he started looking for help, yaking to other Thais, saying that I hit him.. This went on for 5 mins, and now there is a crowed gathering.. I end up telling him to call the police, but he's still in a rage.. I kept telling him to call the police... He then opens the passenger door up and leans in, I'm like oh shit.. he's going to shoot me.. He pops out with 10 baht, sticks it up in the air and shows everyone, and said it was on the floor, claiming I never put it in his hand... Then he called me "Stupid" and that was it..

I was kind of gun shy to get on a baht bus after that, figuring all drivers were the same... When I got my senses back, realized I can't let one bad problem erase the hundreds of rides I taken with no problems.. Some of the people complaining about the service, they make it sound like it's a daily issue with them, that's just hard to believe..

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now those guys that park in front of the Royal Garden, will never get a ride with them... I do on occassion, just for shits and giggles, ask them how much for a ride to Big "C" - most will say 100 to 120 baht.. I say no thanks, then they'll say how much you pay? I just walk away and jump on the next baht bus and pay 10 baht..

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm sure if you ask all the Baht Bus drivers, what do they think of Farangs and providing them service.. They most likely will answer the same way, and only mention the bad incidents with customers..

  19. Or try "Ketoconazole" Fungazol Tablets... Not expensive, works fast to get rid of insect bites.. You can get it at just about any Pharmacy..

Atleast it worked for me.. I had gone to Pattaya Hospital near Big "C" for what appeared to be bug bites, bumps, that would not go away, but did in about a week after taking "Ketoconazole" --- I forget what street the hospital is located, but has to be the closet one to Big "C"

  20. I know this isnt wholly Thai related, but many posts on here show an absolute hate for their country of origin, especially from us Brits. Many farangs I speak to in Thailand who have been there for sometime would sooner jump in front of a bus then return home.

I pose the question what has gone wrong with farangland be it Oz, NZ the USA, Europe or dear old blighty, or is it not that it really is that bad or changed that much its just that Thailand is so much better on the whole.

Is there anyone here who has a nice contented life in LOS and is financially secure that would happily return to farangland without any worries or does this species not exist.

I'm 70 percent mind set that I prefer living in Thailand, and 30 percent back in the States... I'm not going to sell the home, the cars, and get rid of the pets to move to Thailand permanently, not just yet.. It's just slightly difficult for me to spend more than a few months at a time in Thailand, although some times I feel like jumping under the bus when I do depart LOS...

To your questions, it's all business and boring back in the States, and pretty much I forget about everything when I'm in Thailand.. Last year, I did not know who won the Super Bowl, did not know that the Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunted died, nor Anna Nicole Smith, basically did not care what the rest of the world does, when I'm in LOS..

  21. Just wanted to add to this post..... My current Ex Girlfriend would only wear her gold neckless, bracelet, rings, only when we went to bars or restaurants, when we went out in a group/family... Other then that, she kept it locked up.. secured in her purse... she kills me.. She's not well off, back in her home village, she lives in a bamboo house..

  22. My wife is Thai and I am Scottish, we live in Edinburgh and have a 4 month old son. My wife wants our son to sleep in our bed but I said no and she isn't happy, it seems that in Thailnd it is normal for the baby to sleep with the parents. I compromised and told her the cot can stay in our room until he is 6 months old then he will be in his own room, I wanted the cot in the nursery straight away, I don't think it's healthy for a baby to sleep in the same room never mind the same bed as the parents.

Am I being selfish and unfair?

It's been awhile since this was posted, did the plan go your way?

I was in a similar situation with my Thai girlfriend, but it was the baby brother that she wanted to sleep in the same bed, which we argued about all the time.. The reason for the little brother staying with us, was because the mother and father were working on new homes in Bangkok, and needed the daughter to watch the baby, which I did not mind at first, cuz it kept her busy, which allowed me to do my own thing, while she watched him..

Anyway..I made his little crying ass sleep on the floor... That sucked as well, cuz she was a deep sleeper, and when he started crying (for milk), I'd be the one that would find his bottle and hand it to him, which at times, there was no more, and I'd have to make more... When he slept on the bed, it was easier just to flip over and hand him his bottle, so he ended back on the bed, up until he started to crawl... This poor little bastard would fall off out of the bed every night, which made it worse, cuz she now wanted him to sleep in between us for he can't fall out... and to make situation even more screwed up, his diaper would come off during the night, and I'd wake up with piss all over my back and all over the bed..

So we continued to fight about that, to the point that she packed up and was about to leave.. I was happy, I opened the door and said "BYE" she never left... so, for the baby's safety, he was back on the floor, then the mother finally came and got him... Things went back to normal..

I think that's how some Thai's raise their children.. They allow them to sleep in the same bed, from the day they're born, from what I saw, for the rest of their lives or move out... I've stayed at her home village, there is like 5 families with separate bamboo homes, all related, all have kids, all sleep together.. Sometimes the sisters sleep together under one mosquito net, then you have the Grandmother and Grandfather under another net, with one of the grandkids, the mother and father sleep under another net with the baby.. That's how the roll in her family..

Just to add... At her home, the babies don't wear diapers, the shit and piss everywhere.. The boys, it looks like , they walk around a majority of the time with just a t-shirt on up until school age.. Not sure the reason for this... I seen one of the adults remove one of the kids short/underwear, cuz she said it was too hot outside (raw:n sounds like LAWN) = Hot .......

  23. I believe the bling shops in Big C and Royal Garden are the only places who have a proper and sterilized ear piercing tools (including the spring loaded "gun" to make the hole). At least that was the case a few years ago when our daughter had her ears pierced.

I agree that Big "C" has a good, safe, and inexpensive service.. The place my GF goes to, is not actually in the Big C store itself.. When you walk into the main entrance, in which the stairs going up the center to the second floor, the water display, the door entry way to the very right, on the first floor, just past the escalator, there is one of those stands in the middle of the walkway, that can do ear/nose/belly button piercing... She's had all three done there and has had no problem..
