i bought a fiesta sports in december and think its a great little car except for the fuel economy so i ha lpg fitted costing 25000 baht now i fill up for 400 baht instead of 1100 baht, i find the car is ideal for my needs as i drive mainly in and around pattaya only once going to kong kaen this year,

i ride a variety of roads around pattaya some with small hills and inclines but none of em too steep and i get a pretty decent workout, i can appreciate that you are maybe a lot younger than me and need challenging so you could try going up the new rd from suk towards bangkok i normally finish off my ride by going that way up to the regents school down the 36 rd and home, anyway god luck and have a nice ride.

its very cheap but dont forget u have to buy mattress fan and other nescessities for basic living also u have to find a lump sum of 12000 baht and have some form of transport.

ive had it for almost 2wks now and change the handlebars.seat and pedals its now very comfy and faster than my other bike, im very pleased with it.

ive given up riding a motor bike now ive never been involved in an accident but it could happen very easily just by being a little careless and losing concentration.

muggings happen all over the world and a lot worse than here i know for a fact in england not only will they rob you but give you a good kicking to go wwith it, a lot of st crime is drug related cos they are desperate for money to buy a fix.

i had the same problem with honda when i wanted to buy a new jazz only extra offered was tinted windows so i went to ford and bought a fiesta and got a load of extras including insurance, also yrs ago went ti izuzu and they didnt seem to want my bussiness so same again took my trade to toyota who were really keen to take my money.

ive just bought a trek 2100 composite and i dont know how old it is, its in very good condition very dark red in colour carbon frame aluminium forks and made in usa ,im going to change the dropped handlebars to straight ones for my personal comfort, but i would like to get an idea of its age the guy at numchai bike shop in nacklua thinks it might be 15 yrs old but its only a guess so if anyone knows about these bikes i would be grateful for any help.

i had a friend who shipped a bike to austalia about 20 yrs ago and he told me it turned into a nightmare he said he wouldnt do it again, but it was a long time ago and things might be better now .

numchai in nacklua generally has a few used bikes in stock, location is sukumvit rd just before you get to pattaya. i know you live in bangkok but its only a bus ride or i could call to-morrow and see what they have in stock and let you know .

what size are you looking for also any prefferred make.

you could try a good second hand, you might drop lucky and get a good one for that kind of money anyway good luck and let us know how you get on.

thanks but i have a thai license but would be using it in the uk until i got round to renewing my uk license thanks anyway (just an idea i was kicking around).

IVE bought several bikes from mityon pattaya thai soi boukow branch and always had very good service but i did once go into the one corner of third rd and was totall ig nored so walked out.

how long is an idp vaLID FOR. THE REASON I ASK IS COS MY UK LICENSE EXPIRED WHEN I TURNED 70YRS OLD LAST YEAR.

forgot to say hardly anyone at fords pattaya speaks english, considering mostly farangs buy fords i think they should get a few english speakers on their staff.

i would reccomend the click, ibought a pcx125 last year a very nice looking bike but sold it cos i prefered riding my wifes click, much more conveniant for my needs, put rear tyre on front new bigger tyre on rear and you should be fine.

numchai has opened another shop only a few mtrs on same side going towards bangkok right under the footbridge its much bigger than the old one and not so crowded.
