  1. suggest you check to see if its puncturing in same place every time if so change your tyre, you can sometimes check and still not see anything wrong witth tyre but its happened to me several times and when i put a new tyre on hey presto no punctures.

  2. i first came to pattaya 26yrs ago, been retired here 12yrs i first lived in my condo then bought a house on the dark side lived there for 9yrs now back in my condo i dont drink (Used to) so i only go in bars to watch sports i have a car but hate the traffic so i mostly use my bicycle for exercise and around town, i have to say i dont have any major problems with pattaya only a few small niggles which i would probably get anywhere.

  3. ive used a variety of creams and gels also vaseline i even carry a small jar with me, the best cream was one i got from the hospital for my feet it did'nt say what it was but i guessed it was lanolin or woolfat but when i went back for more they said they did'nt have any more so im trying alternatives.

  4. i live in yensabai condo and the only dog ive seen outside the cafe is always laid down with its nails painted and it does have a collar, ive never been in said cafe cos i dont eat dead animals but the dog seems very inoffensive to me and never bothers anyone (perhaps not same dog but its the only one ive seen reguarly).

  5. thinking about having a fitted wardrobe in my condo, can anyone reccomend anybody that does this work, phone numbers please and it would help if they spoke some english. thanks in advance.

  6. yes i visitedthere a few weeks aGO ,what struck me the most was how clean everywhere was compared to pattaya, i was on my bicycle so i did;nt get to compare prices but it does make a nice change of scenery.

  7. thanks for the imput, ive now bought a fizik arione also new shorts with thicker padding. since buying the seat ive just done 50klms and im feeling fine with no soreness but as i said before it seems to start after a few days so im keeping my fingers crossed and hope it cured the problem.

  8. Saddles are a very personal thing, I went through a lot of them. Tried fizik because quite a few people said they were great, but it didn't work well for me. So I bit the bullet and got a Tune Komm Vor, I won't be looking for anything else anymore. Also like Villagefarang mentioned, a good pair of bike shorts makes a world of difference.

i already have several pairs of shorts, ive never seen any seats by tune komm vor could you tell me where you bought it and how much it was.
  9. ive had several inexpensive seats and they all are ok for a few dats then start to hurt like hell so my question is it worth paying 8000 baht for a good one or will they be the same after a few days, ive been looking at fizik seats but i dont want to waste a lot of money if its not going to be a solution.

  10. last week 1st march i bought a new bike its a 2012 giant tcr1 all carbon frame at bike shop in sri racha they were very good and made a few alterations to suit me with discount it came to 43000 baht. ive not rode anything to compare it with but it seems fast and comfortable very light(just what i was looking for) ive already done 900 klms in eleven days and up to now it seems a good buy, i plan to go from pattaya to kho chang in the near future otherwise ive just been on local rds with odd rides to baengsean and sattahip anyway ill let you know how i get along with it.

  11. If you want it and can afford it, and it fits you, buy it. That's my advice.

That last 5% of speed, smoothness and reliability costs a lot of money. That's true on cars, golf clubs, fishing rods, watches, smartphones, and bicycles. Probably true on a lot of other items, but I don't know about them.

For myself, if that's the bike listed on the TV classifieds, I live with the satisfaction that my bike is 95+% as fast, and probably just as comfortable (to me) and I paid less than 1/8 the price listed. In fact, all my bicycles are faster than I am, so any additional money would have been better spent on training and not equipment.

Only you can decide whether it's worth it to you. But once you've made the purchase, just enjoy it and don't look back.

I believe you need some advice. 500km seems a high weekly mileage for a person who is pretty basic about bikes! Well done!

The most important thing about a bike is how it fits the rider, is this bike the right size for you?

Once you have answered that question then you can decide whether to buy or not.

tes i agree its pretty high mileage, i started off wanting to lose weight and get my blood pressure down now its an obsession and i love it, getting back to the bike today i called into the bike shop in sri rasha and got a good price quoted for a new giant tcr 1 so im still weighing my options up, anyway thanks for your imput ill probably make my mind up in the next few days.
