  1. The Unrideables

    Published on May 11, 2013

During the the glory days of 500cc racing in the 1980s and early 199os,

two stroke 500cc Grand Prix bikes produced 160 HP and weighed just 120kg.

Men like Kevin Schwants, Wayne Gardner, Wayne Rainey, Eddie Lawson and Randy Mamola,

made up just a handful of brave and wild blokes, that were capable of riding them to the limit.

In this documentary the riders share their memories of this classic period.

    Good old 2 stroke days.

  2. YSS used to be red but now I guess they're going for the "fake Ohlins" look. Nice ;) I am pretty sure they have black too.

Those exhausts... ugh... horrible. But hey each to their own.

Thanks nikster.Yeah,I don't like those cans too but those forks looks good.
  3. All the tens of thousands of SCUBA divers have frightened the fish away from the Thai reefs which without fish start to die. It the the noise of the air bubbles which spooks fish. And of course a lot of inexperienced SCUBA divers inadvertently tread on the coral and kill it. The water in Myannma is so clear you don't need SCUBA to see all the beautiful reefs. So the answer is to ban SCUBA and encourage snorkeling which does not scare the fish away. But of course there is no money to be made if people don't use SCUBA. So the operates of dive shops and all the SCUBA teachers would not be happy in spite of the fact it would save the reefs.

Wow!!!I have scuba dive for 30years and this is what I did to the reefs?I think I have to quit scuba diving.

BTW where do you get all that info?

  4. Yes mervyn just a small commute:) 800kms:) If you ever make it down, our little racetrack (Phuket coast road) is fun and full of hazards to keep you on your toes. Tourists on T-Maxs to name one, as well as the usual colorful driving tactics we have come to expect from Thailand:)

Thats nice.I will try to plan a short holiday to Phuket soon.Thanks.

  5. Thanks mania, I appreciate the comments. Mervyn where you based? I'm in Phuket and we try to be out riding as much as possible, everyone welcome. We like to ride relitively fast and have the odd beer and talk bikes:)

Hi Ginger761,thanks.I'm in Phattalung, about 800km from Phuket. It is quite a long way for a to and fro week end ride but if I'm going to Phuket for a few days I will PM you.Cheers.

  6. Sorry if this has been posted, but does anyone have a 2012 ER6N and has a Tidy Tail that fits Thai number plates?

There are a few available online but they all look like they will not fit Thai plates properly.

Appreciate the brand if someone has one that works.

Hi DLock, all the tail tidy can fit a Thai number plate. It depends on where to drill the holes on the plate itself.
