I'm afraid that I must agree with this. I cannot speak for other countries, though I have a feeling the same applies, but in Australia it is all about Murdoch owned politicians doing exactly what they are told. The only possible exception would be Kevin Rudd. It is a sad thing when the world comes to a grinding halt because of a computer program but it may well be preferable to the mindless brainwashing that the Australian public are subject to from the Murdoch media.

What a disgusting excuse of a man, victims warned not to tell, he needs locked up for a long time, until he is old and decrepid, so no longer able to abuse any girl.
Thank God that we are both already there.

They just got there, can't possibly have learned much or analysed anything. Yet, they state, as fact, the one thing the Chinese CCP party desperately wants the world to believe.
No. They don't know that.
I was going to say......'what a farce' but I see the same farce everywhere and in everything these days. Pity that.

Oxford says the exact same thing as the Merriam Webster dictionary. See usage examples under verb entry 1.1 in below link. The debate was never about which was "better"; it was whether it was grammatically permissible. Both dictionaries clearly confirm it is.
https://www.lexico.com/definition/graduate
1.1 shows very clearly "graduates of of from". Please refer to the original posting.

Saying "graduated Harvard" is grammatically acceptable. The intransitive verb definition of graduate is "to receive an academic degree or diploma." While "graduated from Harvard" which includes the preposition "from" would be more complete, omitting "from" is also acceptable, especially in informal language.
"I graduated from college" is the most accepted use of graduate in this context. You can also say "I graduated college" or "I was graduated from college." Both are frequently used, but to some people they are considered incorrect.
Is it 'Graduated' or 'Graduated From'? | Merriam-Webster
Originally Answered: Is Merriam Webster better than Oxford? Merriam Webster produce American English dictionaries. The Oxford English dictionary is for standard English, but additionally lists American english, where they differ. So, no, OED is “better”.

She graduated Harvard (economics) magna cum laude, she earned her Masters and PhD at MIT, has held three ministerial offices in Nigeria (Minister of Finance, Coordinating Minister of Economy and Minister of Foreign Affairs), she’s had a 25 career at the World Bank, Washington where she worked her way up to the post of Managing Director.
She seems more than qualified for the job.
as long as she doesn't get my email address.

Scum, without a doubt but the most extraordinary thing is that these days he will most probably go on to be a tik tok or instagram hero. The world is becoming sicker and sicker and there is no vaccine for this one.

Probably a few (a lot) of resident expats will be checking their balances/banking affairs shortly in and around Pattaya.
This is not the first time this has been publicised about bank staff behaving in this manner.
Very unsettling for many.

He will have to give the people a sound explanation as to how the government will fund the new policy especially healthcare and education when the UK economy is dire. These are the 2 “carrots” that are dangled to entice Hong Kong citizens to leave while waiting 6 years to get their UK citizenship.
I think many Hong Kongnites will choose to remain rather than start a new life. Many will not want to leave behind their elderly parents which is frowned upon in Chinese society or to learn a new language or worse endure British weather.Sorry Eric but this dog won't hunt. If it is frowned upon to leave elderly parents behind then why are so many of them desperate to get their kids out and are telling them not to come back if they can. I have first hand knowledge on this matter. Also the kids are doing all within their power to not go back until they have residency.
Also, they will take British citizenship no matter what the cost because it is the gateway to the US and Canada and Australia.

Taiwan, claimed by China as its own territory, reported multiple Chinese fighter jets and bombers entering its southwestern air defence identification zone last weekend, prompting Washington to urge Beijing to stop pressuring Taiwan.
I don't think that the times of "stop that, or we'll jump in" from Washington has any influence anymore.
IMO, the US has lost its credibility of being THE Superpower. Trump played a big part in that game.
Probably right though the carrier group sailing through the straits the other day was a damn good idea.

I have been coming to Thailand since the seventies.
Cant say I have ever experienced any of this racism that seems to be getting you down.
Quite the opposite in my experience. They admire my sturdy nose bridge, my pearly white cheeks, my height and my considerable length.
Nothing but admiration and praise almost daily and made me feel most welcome. If I did, being a privileged white make I would just laugh it off anyway.
And this story from the USA is a bit over the top. They seem obsessed about perceived racism. It is nonsense. Who actually complained?
I first arrived in 70 too. Good days then. For the PC thing we only have to look to who is leading it and the power that they achieve from it. A power that has always been attractive to them since the garden itself.
