I hope they also order bigger and better foodportions or they will never see me in those planes again.

    ABSOLUTELY !

For me it's the only airline who flies directly from Brussels to Bangkok.

Some of the cabin staff is really rude (seen that last year on the flight back)

and the food... really a lot of crap and shamelessly small portions. I know we're

not in a flying restaurant, but still.... I flew with A LOT of airlines worldwide

over the years, so I can compare objectively

  2. I stay in Jomtien and would like to attend one, just to see what its like.
I have no idea how to actually locate such a venue. I read there is one
on soi 15. I walked past soi 15 several times but never saw a road sign or a board.
Do you need to contact someone first ?
I assume you can't just walk in ....

Anyone ever attended a "Planet Earth Beach Club" pool party  and how is it ?

That will make the folks at the east end of Jomtien Beach Rd happy. Most buses do a u-turn at Chiaypruk. I used to stay at Soi 19 and it usually meant a km walk to get a bus in. Hopefully the increase fare is only up to 20b. Every couple of weeks I like going from Jomtien to the Naklea Fish Market for live shrimp. Most times it take 2 buses each way. This seems to indicate only 1 will be required.

I stay in Jomtien soi 19 as well when I come over and getting to or from Metro can be a long waiting time.... so Route 7 (from pattaya to jomtien) is supposed to go the end of beach road, without turning left at the police box ? Wow that would be an improvement as you said. There always was a good possibily when more than 1 person remained seated when approaching Chiaypruk, chances are he would stay on beach rd .... So from now on, when I take a baht bus at the pattaya second road stand (at the school) I now have to look at the sticker indicating route 7 ? :)

Today's edition ofProfiles In Courage:  The Expat Hard Way Club...Your JP would probably do the whole gambit for you for 500 THB.  If you are so unfamiliar with the form; it would appear that you haven't done one, either.  Depends on your Province, but there are reports of foreign condo owners not being allowed to report tenants, because that would implicate them as working in property management, which is a prohibited activity (without a WP).

First time I have two friends coming to stay in my Jomtien condo for a month on a regular 30 day tourist visa. In this case it has nothing to do with extensions of any kind.

Some people say I don't have to worry about a TM 30 in Jomtien and don't fill one out.

But I don't want a problem. I have a condo in Jomtien ("jurastic person") but I have doubts the condo management would do the reporting. I don't know....

Fact is that if I (as the foreign owner of a condo) want to fill out first page of the TM30 and the POA form.... I do not know what exactly to fill in on the first part (meaning about me, district, sub district etc... do I fill in the address of the condo (where I am not living in) or my address in Belgium (where I do live) ? I come to my condo once a year for 90 days, then go back home

Please pardon my ignorance on the matter but what is a "JP" ?

  5. Well, I need to fill out the TM 30 and the POA (Power of Attorney) forms because I have two friends who want to stay in my condo one month for free, while I am in Belgium. That is why I need a POA to give my thai friend.

BUT both the first page of the TM30 as well as the POA docs are like a puzzle to

me ! I have no idea what to fill in and have been looking for days to find an example or filled out models of these documents so I can see what exactly to fill in.

I'm not a retard of some sort but on the POA doc... first part is about the owner given power of attorney. That is clear BUT then the prob starts. District, province etc... do I (as the condo owner) need to fill out my Belgian address on that, because I am in Belgium and do not live in Thailand ?

Once I have seen what to fill in on those docs I understand, but so far I haven't and I have beem combing the internet for days on end to see "what" to write or in best case SEE an example of a filled out one

if they are only going for a month, they will have no contact with immigration other than arrival and departure, so i can not see the need to complete a tm30, others may/will disagree

THAT would be a HUGE relief. Not sure if it matters that they go to Bangkok for 3 days when they arrive, so the name of their hotel will be on the arrival card. I hope this doesn't complicate things.

  7. A great informative site, but all of this "registration" issue is still confusing at times.

I am Belgian and bought a condo in a big building (juristic person) in my name in Jomtien in 2010.

I am not permanently living in Thailand and only go there for three months holiday every year, so I live in Belgium most of the year.
Two Belgian friends of mine want to stay (not renting, just staying free as my friends) in my condo for one month in November,

while I myself am in Belgium.

I understood that I, as condo owner, have to report my friends at the immigration office within 24 hours of their arrival.

Is that correct ? If so,  I can't do that because I am in Belgium !

Please advise *what* I have to do because time is running out and I want to be in regulation with everything.
    Thank you very much.

  8. I'm currently doing research on women in martial arts. It seems that, besides Muay Thai boxing, in Thailand no women

seem to be practicing Judo. It's nonetheless an Olympic sport. Do you know female Thai judoka's in the Chon Buri

district who are willing to be interviewed or where I can contact any ? Thank you in advance.
