  1. Should of kept it quiet, let her travel and find the real problem, the bosses,or links to them.

    Its called policing.

Another mule will be along shortly, maybe this one was a decoy and the main stash got through.

    Many scenarios.

Don't you think they already are doing that? Or do you believe that this is the first such run from Delhi and that there have been no others? Such mules are tracked, have been tracked and inevitably some are going to be stopped arrested and tried for their crimes.

We all know stopping mules wil not solve the drug problem. But getting the message out that in certain countries such offences means death is a most positive way of reducing the number of mules. Hence, the intial response on here of 'stupid'. Stupid as we know better. That message needs to be filtered through into the poorer societies where it apparently is still not fully grasped and where due to either naievety, greed or lack of education some persons still see it as a way to wealth.

Her death, if it happens, saddens me. But she is not the problem.

As we see in Thai society, politicians are involved in the drug trade, as are the police too. It is those such persons that need to be caught. For each one of them a thousand others will stopped.

That is where the solution lies. Start at the top. In fact all societies problems lie therein whatever country you come from.

Simply put: it's human greed and corruption. Again.

  2. Like, yeah, innit, knows what I mean, 'cos like I was givin it large, see, an what the thing is like is what well when it is as it happens I seen it and I finks well in it like? To me, cor blimey blind old Riley and vat is sayin it like it am is, an I have seen with my own mincies, so knows it as is a truth like, so anyways there she is like all standin' and I'm finkin well this is some mat in it like?

So this geezer is like him what done it and says it all biggin it up like wot is the governor and I'm finkin well this is a right old charlie for starters for with him and her like posing and struttin and stuff like, you know the thing is, right?

So I'm asking if what I'm finking is like what you is thinking of it is like, innit?

    It's like obvious innit?

  3. How about worst bikes for the road?

Thailand would surely be a contender. Seven on a 125 if you include the baby and toddlers. No service ever required, bald tyres, crap brakes, rust compulsory, no lights [ head or signal ], smoke trail, oil dripping [what's oil?], laden with sacks of ..... you name it and of course no licence, going the wrong way agaist traffic, u-turning, swerving at night pitch black.

All protected by either an amulet [ that's a filthy chain round your neck with a big plastci lump hanging from it OR a belief that 'it not my time' held by some one who left school aged 7 to sell either veg or themselves on a street.

Stupidity doesn't come in to it as they all do it regardless of class, education, circumstances or background.

  4. It's all corruption and the holding to ransome for money.

    Look no further than that.

You are mixing with mafia and mini-mafia and opportunistic mafia. They all want money. When the palms are greased thaey have an event.

That's when they come for your money.

Only the blind and foolish support it.

Stay away. Vote with your feet because you'll never be listened to. Nothing will change. You have to stop the flow of eaasy money to these crooks.

  5. I am still getting my head round the reporting. Quote: The driver claimed he was driving home.

Er ........................... he hit the truck on the Pattaya to Sattahip Road. Travelling towards Sattahip. he lives in .............. you guessed it - Sattahip.

He hit the garbage truck and 3 people.

How small are garbage trucks in the Pattaya area as I know the place is lined with rubbish. Maybe they need to be bigger. The size of Tower blocks so that killer Thai drivers on drugs, drink or simply falling asleep may be able to see them.

The time of the accident, early morning, makes it relevent ass to where the driver had been and what he had been doing. A factor being his state of alertness and whether this was reckless driving.

A young woman lost her life. The body was badly injured and the father arrives and sees this.

Bad enough then to cause the man to collapse.

    It was an accident.

    Aren't they all?

    One that needn't have happened.

It' such a waste of life and so devastating for that one family.

  6. Stunned!!

What kind of aviation geek aka nerds have we got here? I thought it was the 1990s Computer freaks who topped that list. Wrong!

It took the 25th poster to discuss the fact that two people SURVIVED a plane crash! Whilst the single / twin engined officianados can only debate what kind of plane it is! And then they can't decide even with a picture. Added to the fact there's a 77 year old involved yet it's all plane recognition and not human interest. Maybe people don't count in their world?

If the pilot is anything like the first 25 posters no doubt he was arguing the same thing at the time of the crash. Insisting he had two engines while his campanion was countering with a stubborn repetition of 'it's only one'. Hence the accident. Maybe switched one engine off. The noisy one.

I can only conclude that the pros who fly us home must be light years away from the dreamers who skit around in [or at least talk about] small planes.

Does anyone actually know what a small plane crash is? Something like scraping a bumper or catching the car door on a street post.

No deaths then or serious injuries .................hang on. Must get my priorities right: I'm still puzzling over the make of the tyres ................. mmnnnnnnnnnnnn.

  7. if you can't beat it, shun it

so basically the 'democrats' will urge people not to use their democratic right to vote, to throw away their vote

the minority trying to get their way based on technicalities, rather than 'democrat'ic means.. fantastic.

if you can't coup it, shun it.

shunning a vote they know they won't win, now where do i remember this from.

You fail to see that this is a failed democracy.

When there is no chance that a debate will win the day due to external corrupting influence where politicians go through the motions in order to present a veneer of due process, the better option is to veto that process.

Those in power remain abusers making a circus out of the democratic process. The most powerful response is not to support that process in order to isolate it and expose it for what it is: a Sham.

That message is a clear and simple one that an ill-educated, ill-informed Thai populace can grasp.

Commenting from ivory western towers doesn't help.

Obama has a chance of chaning US gun law right now. It will be debated. He may well lose. But he will lose fairly or win fairly. He will not be subject to corrosive corrupting influence before he starts. That is a mature democracy in process.

    Thailand?

    Forget it. Use the boycott.

  8. THE SAD FACT is that the authorities have experts who understand the stresses placed on such a structure and that it remains inherently safe and yet they can not explain such to an uneducated population who believe in animism, have a belief in ghosts and all associated gibberish.

What compounds the problem is they actually vent time and effort on this rubbish.

If morons believe in the end of the world let them jibber jabber it to themselves - not to those of us who have heard of science and deal in facts.

  9. This like all other problems in Thialand comes down to abuse by those with the power rather than the influence of those with the intellect.

Hence, everything is for sale. Nothing is to be done correctly as the quick buck from corruption constantly rules.

Under this present and ever continuous thinking where a single corrupting influence - Thaksin - holds sway nothing that is ever 'first world' [traffic management] will be improved or organised in Thailand.

It is as if the Thais are totally incompetent. The dark ages having been replaced with the 21 st century over night.

The future will be grid lock and more pollution poisoning the hi-so thais who are daft enough - and we know just how daft they are - to live in a polluted city with lead billowing black soot polluting traffic.

  10. I had some tailoring done. A number of suits. Multiple fittings.

The one suit they had me try, the others being 'the same', was excellent in every aspect. The ones not toothcombed for quality weren't even finished.

Anything 'thai' but from China is crap.

The mai pen rai that ruins thai society allows for substandard goods to be passed off onto customers. If Thais ever stood up to complain, to demand a better service, to express unacceptance or disdain then not only would a plate of som tam improve but also the quality of life.

  11. John Lennon: Another year older and what have you done?

That's it for me. A depressing time of year. Surrounded by drunks trying to have agood time when out of their minds isn't my idea of fun.

If there is some meaning to life other than over indulgence and susbtance abuse the xmaz, like the muzac format, isn't it.

  12. Is it me or have you all just had soft lives. lived on and off in a stilt hut 6 years, bucket showers, slept on a board, Had to eat what was proved, maybe cooked in farang way, but lived. Have lived in worse environments. NZ one room hut, so cold that the water froze at night. Scotland, far north in a little caravan. First house England, had no money for bed or furniture, slept on the bare floor. Oz lived in a tent picking fruit, hotter than Hades, Plus a few other jobs where you had to sleep in the bush, snow etc without any comfort.

Take a few spoonfuls of cement and harden up, got a roof over your head and food o n the table, you are doing better than a lot of people in this world.

Try sleeping on the streets of New York in winter, which I had to do and anything is better. Think a Russian guy once said, after a Gulag in Siberia, if you can live through that, all the rest is easy. Jim

Well of course we had it tough.

I used to dream of living in a zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  13. The blatant disregard for Royal protocol is glaring.

That Thaksin used the ocassion to defend his previous questionable record whilst at the same time having no permission to have a King's Cup simply highlights his disregard.

A clear shot in the foot as it was removed from the mouth.

As forn the poll - totally irrelevent.

  14. Found this after a quick GOOGLE serach:

Honda CBR 500 R is a fully faired bike. CBR 500 R takes design inspirations from the CBR family. Front and side takes inspirations from the big brothers CBR 1000 RR and CBR 600 RR.while the rear end is inspired from the small brother CBR 250 R.CBR 500 R continues the touring position image of the CBR family. Handle bars are placed much more upright than the sports bikes. You can ride with Pillion. This will be a great bike for India. Honda CBR 500 R is powered by 470cc liquid cooled parallel twin engine which makes 46.9 BHP and makes 30 lb/ft of torque. Top speed is 168 Kmph. Which is quite good for a 500 cc bike which will give good mileage like other CBR bikes. This engine will be mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox.

It's a single front disc bike as seen in the photo they included.

  15. Don't look for fix it solutions as it never was working!

The police [ I refuse to capitalise this scum ] are a mafia institution. They are not the enforcers of the law. They are the abusers of the law. They are a criminal entity and act accordingly.

Chalerm benefitted from this for years and now is embarrassed by the lofty and undeserved position he occupies. the bellowing rhetoric is for public consumption and will be little compared with the behind doors demands to put someone in charge of the drug dealing who can guarantee its low profile existence.

There are billions being made from the drug trade with Burma and it is not going to cease as long as Thais have pockets too deep to fill.

We should run a 'where are they now' as regards the Chalerm scum sons. I expect they are snouts in the trough of dad's wake turning ll those contacts into hard cash.

This is actually a 'non' story as Chalerm told us long ago 'there are no drugs' in Thailand. My wife picks herbs and makes a paste when I have a headache. We can't even buy aspirin anymore!

  16. A psuedo 'sale' of the business and install someone to run it.

I do realise that finding such a trustworthy person may not be realistic or possible.

First thought is that this being Thailand the party is over. Pack up and relocate cutting costs as you do.

Any advice regarding intimidating Thais or worse is irresponsible and inviting a catastrope.

Sadly, when Thais decide to mess with you they invariably hold the upper hand as their actions can escalate to both being lawless and violent. With the known history between the two parties there is much to be gained in moving on. After which measures can be constantly taken to adversely affect the other business and its personell; safely from a distance.

    Seriously damaging measures.

Seriously ......................... don't mess with the Rohan measures.

  17. You found them!

Can you send me details of contact number so I can arrange for my bondage gear to be returned? Thanks.

You didn't find two handcuffed lady Boys and a large tub of vaseline at all? I don't see them in the photo and I know the Lbs weren't going anywhere fast. One was cuffed to a radiator and the other submerged up to the neck in the tub of vaseline. I did say it was a large one.

All info welcome and will be rewarded with a party invite.

  18. I can't make head nor tale of any of this.

Nana bar ............ Nana, Soi Sukhumvit, Bangkok; transported to a mucky lake near nowhere; green alien invaders and everyone admits to bar after bar, even providing directions by way of bars, eastern mysticism and 'looking East', which is a bit hard really when so far east in the first place. And all that bar stuff but little acceptance of being too far gone to focus on aything further away than your feet.

Stuff floating on the top. Interesting. Cream floats to the top. But then the proximity to Pattaya [that wonderful city] has me remember that so too does scum.

More likely to be some form of scum then. I expect there to be a charitable whip round, local TV, the usual faces all putting in an appearence before the announcement of xxxx baht was raised for the little orphans of the green. One week later and .......

The green stuff remains. The little orphans are forgotten and the money ..................... what money?
