He's just strengthened the gene pool. Should have stuck to Toblerone.

They all seem to be indicating different levels of water!

Disturbing story.
I hope there is an extradition treaty between Thailand and Pakistan so that the brother-in-law can enjoy some nice Thai prison food.

If the BIB were acting on a tip off why weren't they better prepared and deploy Stingers?

He's just misunderstood. I bet his mum still loves him.

Big egos at work. Very pathetic. The National Police Chief would lose face if he were to comply with the summons that's why he's unhappy. Yet you would think that the National Police Chief would be more proactive and helpful in this investigation seeing as how it affects his own organisation. Maybe he's hiding something. Accountability is not something that's welcome by anyone in authority here in Thailand.
The DSI are correct to shake a few trees and see what falls out. Tarit looks smug now however his problems will start when his tenure comes to an end. He's expendable.

I can't help thinking that Burma will become the hub of Asean. It has a long border with China on one side and the Indian Ocean on the other.
With their fixed mindset, inflexibility and sense of superiority over its neighbours Thailand may be in danger of becoming the hub of dissappointment, the hub of delusion, the hub-a-go-go.

Watch out for a steam roller crushing a few DVDs in the not too distant future.
Someone once told me that the first word a Thai child learns is "copy" actually I believe the first word they learn is "cheat"

Give him a heart transplant, and a new pair of lungs too if required, and then stick him in jail. Sorted.

He, like many in authority here, is not used to being challenged. At least he has a new nickname now

I can't wait for him to hire a jetski....
I bet we won't hear the last of him just yet.

It appears to be the strategy of this well connected family to play the "ill health" card and have him released early whereafter he will make a miraculous recovery.
He should be made to serve his time and die in prison and be remembered only as a common criminal who arranged for the murder of another man. The scum.
He will be reborn as a dung beetle (my sincere apologies to any dung beetles reading this post).
The police should look into who issued him with a false ID card. Look for the official with a large house.

PTP have sown the wind and now they must reap the whirlwind.
When Chalerm talks about the cabinet he is thinking about the drinks cabinet!

Went to do my 90 day report yesterday and arrived at 0805 and went to the end of a surprisingly orderly queue. On getting to the door I was given a blue tally with 81 on it. These numbers were called up in batches to the centre desk where I was given a card numbered 515. So I was to be No 15 at desk 2. The ticket machine was not used and anyway it's not in the best position in the corner of the room.
The only delay was that desk 2 didn't kick off until 0845 for some reason. Anyway I was out of there at 0910 so not too bad.
The annual renewal of my retirement extension is due on 10th June and I want to make an online appointment for that. Can anybody please tell me how far in advance I should make the appointment?
Thanks very much in advance.

It was 10.7C this morning here in Chiangdao. We are 500 metres above sea level and this is quite normal for this time of year.
The lowest I've experienced here was 8C a few years ago.

These state officials have betrayed their own country and endangered Thailand's national security for greed.
They should be named and shamed and dismissed from the service and not merely transferred. Unbelievable Thailand.
Thailand - get a grip of yourself!!

The Iranians seem to have hired a stand-up commedian rather than a defence lawyer!
I expect they will be found guilty and Iran will buy a large quantity of Thai rice and then they will be flown back to Iran.
At least one of them won't be needing a seat with extra leg room.

A talented life cut short by an unqualified idiot with his hand on a powerful throttle lever. I don't suppose he will ever give her a second thought.
At most he will give a packet of noodles to a monk and the slate's wiped clean.
May she Rest In Peace.

Had to happen on a Fry Day! The perps will be in for a grilling when they're caught.

They can have all the clear signs they want ... it's the vision that's blurred. The only signs they look for is the next karaoke!

Public service vehicles should be in top mechanical order and driven by mature and experienced drivers. Yeah... dream on. At least they got the driver, he must have been too injured to run off. Do you think the police breath tested him? Nah... the machine didn't work.
It would be nice to see the Highway Police pulling over some of the wrecks, there's certainly enough of them, but all they seem to do is escort VIP groups around.

I'm assuming they mean the hot air paper balloons which are B100 for 3 in my area. I expect there are truckloads on their way to the Swampy right now. Not like Thai's to miss out on a business opportunity!
Disrupting their mind-numbing soap operas. Now that really is serious!

The final paragraph of the 2007 Constitution, Section 309, legalises the coup of 2006 and all actions by the military junta prior to and after the coup which overthrew the TS government.
It is the military's Get Out of Jail Free card. The fact that it affects TS criminal record is secondary.

If Sereepisuth is truly independent (which I doubt) and he is backed by the PAD (resigned or otherwise) then he will surely be indebted to the PAD should he be successful in becoming Governor.
If he really is independent he should reject Praphan's offer of support and go it alone.
