100 Baht fine
Would anybody with a brain think this was an adequate fine ??

The motor-bike rider was "imitating" a U-turn ?? Interesting.

Ahh !! This old chestnut.
"Pattaya launches a new campaign".

Who "pays" for a job ?
Who "pays" for a job without a formal interview ?
Who "pays" for a job in cash to an alleged official ?
Who "pays" for a job in a hospital that hasn't even opened ?
Is this "the norm" in Thailand ?
The only "norm" I see here is yet another "scam".

A lucrative crime for "2-on-a-bike" bag-snatchers.
10 seconds works, 1 ipad 1 mobile phone and cash in this instance.
And the victims can and do get injured too.
This cowardly crime should be top priority for the cops.
-
And how would the father punish his son ?
Smack his bum for setting the victim on fire ?
These Thai murderers actually believe their own BS to deliver revenge.

Defining this statement is that immigrants are "workers" whereas "expats" are not.
You see "expats" in go-go bars, you don't see "immigrants".
A very clear divide.

Is a beach-bed vendor qualified to assess whether a foreigner is overweight ?
What qualifications do the vendors have ?
Just visual judgement ? or will the vendors have scales to hand ?
At least this game-plan has been well thought through.
It's a shame you didn't think your post through well enough, your visual challenges are now being displayed. Can't you read and comprehend? Visitors with certain issues will be able to request the beds that are not normally available. The chair concessionaires will not need any qualifications or scales.
OK. So when someone requests a specific type of sunbed, and appears to be limping, will the vendor simply give the "limper" what they require ? or will the "limper" be asked for a medical certificate ?

Tilting / semi-uprooted Pylons are everywhere.
Dangers lurk everywhere.

Thais will do their own thing regardless of the law, let alone safety.
No policing plays a big factor .
No government "crackdowns" on not wearing a safety helmet also plays a major factor.
Put all these facts together and it's no wonder 71 road deaths happen daily.
-
This exact type of crash happens all too frequently. That curve is quite a sharp curve.
Why don't the authorities suspend some kind of safety netting midway over the side of the low wall on that curve and the roadway below. It would surely save lives at a low cost.

CCTV footage would make this story more interesting.

My experience is when times are lean here, prices go north.

He said She said A punch in the face Fake policeman BB gun
Cannot make this stuff up !!

Interesting the "shift" from "honest" taxi drivers to now "honest" mini-mart owners.
Why is it such a big deal to report this "honesty" ?
Thailand is a Buddhist country, therefore I would always expect "honesty".

Maybe someone "planted" it in his trouser ? After all Russians are quality tourists so it must have been a Thai....
Or maybe the "trousers" the Russian was wearing weren't his.
Maybe a mix-up in the changing rooms or something.

This story is an example of what could happen to any one of us foreigners, anytime anyplace. It's a risk we all run just living here.
This story will be "under the carpet" ASAP

I find the private hospitals act in a very mercenary way, example, try to add-on every conceivable extra.
The question always asked is "Are you privately insured?". This question, in my view, is because they know exactly what they can get away with.
But, having said all that, the service they offer is second to none.

Unbelievable !!!

Well considering I feel the need to be on my guard far more than most countries, I would say Land of Scams.
There's a scam lurking here around every corner.
